  1. It certainly is when your neighbor is a professional lawn care manager. Edit: To the person above me, I agree. I have always preferred subscription based games. In any F2P game I have always chosen to subscribe rather than "pay as I go" because it is less hassle. Not to mention that most subscription based games have seemed to be of a higher quality in my eyes. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is being released this month and I have my copy pre-ordered. Square-Enix is keeping this game subscription based and have stated, and I'm paraphrasing, that they would pull the plug on the game before seeing it go to a F2P model. I think there is definitely some merit left in subscription based MMO games and I believe that FFXIV will show that. It will deliver a quality game that people want to pay for, or it will die trying.
  2. Ways to improve the quality of a crafted item: -Clothing modifiers -Quality of your crafting tool -Quality of the resources being used -Quality of your crafting station -Entertainer buffs -Bespin port -Crafting in a city with a research bonus Wait.. wrong game.
  3. Actually, each plant does display a recommended level range. Not to mention that if a mission is grey in your log, then you have greatly out-leveled that mission. You are making the conscious decision to complete these out-leveled missions, so complaining about their rewards or lack thereof seems counter intuitive. It is true that you cannot use the group finder when you have out-leveled a mission. However, it does not prevent your chat function from working properly. This is an MMO. Socialize with the other players on the planet and simply ask for help.
  4. That's nearly the same exact specs I have on my rig and it plays any game (SWTOR included) at max settings with around 60 FPS.
  5. If we could get a space combat system in place akin to that of the one used in Star Wars Galaxies, then I would be a happy camper.
  6. The Secret World seems to pull it off well enough.
  7. Oh I'm an idiot, I didn't even think to check for a guild recruitment forum. Thank you very much.
  8. I posted this in the server forums, but there doesn't appear to be all too many active contributors to that forum. I used to play this game well before the switch to F2P, but I quit since my computer just couldn't really handle the game all too well. Now that I have put together a new gaming rig, I'm back and this time I'm trying out the Imperial side of the game. Currently I am only a level 11 Inquisitor (went Sorcerer to heal) but I am a subscriber and by no means new to MMOs, though only vaguely familiar with this game. What are some of the better known Imperial guilds on the Harbinger server that take in players of a more casual play style? I'm looking for a friendly guild that has a healthy number of online members at a given time.

  10. 98% of the time? Where are you getting your numbers? This will be roughly the 7th day of maintenance in the 3 weeks I have been playing this game. That hardly seems like 98% up time to me. I'm trying my best to be patient, but I work later hours and normally don't even get home until about 12am PDT, which is just in time to watch the server go down. On the rare occasion that I have actually been able to log into the game, I have enjoyed it very much. Which is why I hope they can soon manage to stick to a simple once a week server maintenance schedule, otherwise I will regretfully need to move on to a different game.
  11. *shrug* Typical restarts in the majority of games I've played tend to only take about 15 minutes. So I'm not entirely sure what they're doing.
  12. I live int he USA and I'd prefer maintenance to be at 5pm my time. Due to my odd day to day schedule, I basically am only able to play for a while when I get home from work which is between 11:30pm and 12:00am PST. I'm suffering right along with you since I get home just in time to watch the server go down. Is this much maintenance common practice? I've only been playing for just under 2 weeks and it's been rather to annoying to rarely get a chance to try the game out (I bought the game quite some time ago but it was when I had a much older computer incapable of running the game).
