I had that happen to me last night. My companion wanted to talk to me on my ship, but when we boarded the ship, he had nothing to say. And when we left the ship, he wanted to talk to me. So I tried the cantina (the one where we've conversed in before) and he had nothing to say. Maybe it's bugged?
