  1. As most have experienced, my current guild has experienced the loss of a decent amount of active players over the last couple months. I have a practically full War Hero geared Powertech DPS that I would like to get into a guild with some active PVPers. I usually log in right after work (5pm ET) for a couple hours and am on mostly all weekends. My current guild only has 1 other active PVPers (who may want to join me in moving), and with the 1.4 changes, I'd like to run with a more organized group.

     

    Poor rosowski, he was just looking for a guild.

  2. It is, as we are (usually) immune under resislience.

     

    No, Grapple is not any kind of attack. It has no type at all. Yes, resilience stops it, but Force Shroud will not, as Grapple is neither a Force nor Tech attack.

  3. Force Leap - root

    Leg Slash - slow

    Low Slash - mez

    Crippling Throw * - root

    Masterstrike* - root

    Cauterize* - slow

    Zealous Leap - root (actually I'm not sure if this is melee or not, but I believe it is)

    Grapple - it's not any kind of attack, not Force, Tech, Ranged, or Melee.

  4. I'm now absolutely convinced this occurs when a player doesn't enter or leave queue when it pops, but instead sits afk until timer expires.

     

    That's because this is exactly what is happening. I'm not sure why people think it's occurring more now than before.

  5. Declaring it a loss is poor form. Telling your team they screwed up is not.

     

    I've been on enough teams that totally blow it on the first door in Voidstar (like 6 guys defending against 5 and allowing a plant while all 6 defenders are alive) and then recover for a full stop on the second door. They need to be reminded to pay attention.

  6. Why would anyone assume Guild Wars 2 would be better than Guild Wars 1? Guild Wars 1 had the worst pvp of any MMO. Why would I quit a game to play something I know will be worse?
  7. It doesn't really matter where a Sorcerer's talents are except that they are in the pvp-Sorcerer talents. Sorcerers are bad at both damage and healing in pvp. They are good at Sorcerer things (mostly CC). Being specced more into healing or damage isn't going to make them do those things better.
  8. So i have a full set of the blue beginners pvp gear. I enter a battleground and get decimated constantly because everyone around me is in the purple gear or greater.

     

    If you're winning 9 out of 10 fights, what are you complaining about.

  9. I would rather lose over and over to a fair fight than sit there huddled with 7 other players that are discouraged and frustrated over 6 of us not able to put down 2 of them.

     

    If 6 people in Recruit gear (any classes), can't put down 2 people in War Hero gear (let's say "the best classes" whatever you think those are), the problem lies in the people controlling the 6, not in any gear any of those involved are wearing.

  10. None of that will work against anyone competent. It takes 8 seconds to cap a turret or plant a bomb. Sap and Whirlwind type things last 8 seconds. There will always be a point in time when they come out of the control and you are still channeling, even if you started immediately after using your CC.

     

    Only Mercenaries don't have a completely instant interrupt to stop you, and Rapid Shots will still get the job done.
