  1. The transfers are complicated because of a system we've not even been given access too? Well that makes perfect sense! Doesn't sound like we have a drunk at the wheel at all :|.

But we will have access to it. We know there is a backbone in place, we've been gaining legacy levels. Just because we don't actually have the perks of the legacy system doesn't mean it can't or doesn't have an affect on the ability to transfer.

Looking at it that way, you're right, it really doesn't sound like we have a drunk at the wheel.

  2. What computer products are $1200? You can get a high end machine for under $1000. A hard drive costs $100-200, DVD Burner $20-30, Video Card $50-600. 4GB DDR3 is $25.

You can buy a lot of computer products for well less than $1200.

That was a discussion about Apple products.

  3. Yes as I said indeed you can, so it is NOT a "luxury" item as you supposed. :)

Given that, and that everyone pays the same amount for the same access to the game, why should one group be discriminated against for not having access to the security key vendor?

That's the point we're making though. No group is being discriminated against. Everyone has equal access to obtain a security key. The means to obtain one may not be straight forward and may require different steps than someone with an android or iphone. However, if you CHOOSE not to obtain a key, it is only your fault that you don't have access, not Bioware.

  4. Tax + Shipping increases the price by over 300%? I'd expect a decent domestic shipping option to cost about £2, or about $3, bringing the total price to £5 including tax plus however much it costs to ship them over to the UK/EU. Where did the other £4 come from, or the even higher price those paying in Euros have to pay?

I don't know exactly where the keys ship from. But, I imagine it is somewhere in the US. That makes it international shipping, not domestic. That brings quite a hefty pay increase. A 1 lb envelope mailed to the UK can cost $10.

  5. I leveled up as a sorc healer alongside with my man who leveled up a juggernaut. He was dps specced but with tank gear.

He did significantly more damage than I did. Even in his tank spec, he does significantly more damage than I do.

I don't know if this is player skill based or class differences, but that is my observation. But, I could also be confusing what your comparison is actually of.

  6. the deal right now is adobe photoshop for 90 dollar.... just saying

btw: amazon.de still sells the game for 45€, so I guess in the US the game is failing and Europe loves it

the CE is even 10€ more expensive than the original price :/

    logic from this topic

Adobe must be going out of business!!!!!!!!!!!1111

  7. I like the layout of the Razer Naga, but I don't use all the buttons. Some of them are just awkward to press.

Looking at the layout of the hex, I think those buttons would be even more uncomfortable for me.

Anyway, if the Naga is cheaper, I would rather get the mouse with extra buttons. I would rather have buttons I didn't use instead of need buttons I don't have.

  8. Just as an FYI - There is a social item that can also place a mark over you. It's temporary, and it looks like a half circle top and a triangle pointing down.

    You can click this off.

Marking is a necessary nuisance. I just hate that only the leader can mark, since half the time they don't. I always notice the opposing healers, since they're mirroring what I'm doing. I want to put giant symbols on their faces!

  9. To everyone saying that the OP feels entitled and wants EZ mode or whatever.

The problem isn't the fact that BW said that Security Key Vendors sold Fleet Passes and that because of that they aren't in a hurry to fix the travel issues. The problem is that they said this as if everyone has access to and uses a Security Key, which is obviously not the case.

It's not about entitlement, it's about understanding that something that is limited to certain players using a certain product does not equal access to all. The travel issues should be on the main board, not on the back burner.

But, there still aren't game-breaking travel issues. Any changes are a matter of convenience, not a matter of need. There is equal access to the security key, some methods are just more straight forward than others.

  10. But then the reason Bioware aren't looking at quick travel straight to ship is because of this "perk".

Therefore it can't be a "perk" because it's blocking a serious travel system improvement.

And if it's not a "perk" then why is it on the SKV?

But, it is a perk. There isn't a serious travel system problem. Adding quick travel to your ship will remove 1 extra loading screen. Having the extra fleet passes would remove 4.

Is three your limit of what is acceptable in a travel system and what isn't?

  11. I get so excited when I hit 5 medals. One time, I even got 7!!!

The sad reality, is I usually only get 2-3, especially in Huttball (which is really all I get to play).

I like healing in pvp, I think I do pretty good at it. But, I really would like to get a little bit more reward for my effort. If I'm lucky, I'll get a bunch of mvp votes. I think this might also entice more people to heal. A majority of games, I am the only healer on my team. I would love some friends. :(

  12. I'll give you another example. Blizzard suckered millions in to buy the year sub plan on the premise that MoP would be out someitme in that time frame. So has MoP been announced yet? Also, they included another dangling carrot...D3, which has been delayed (again) and with no concrete release date. Coincidence? Nope, its called creative marketing.

Blizzard never expressed that MoP would be out in a yearly timeframe. They only said that if you purchase a year, you'll get a game and guaranteed beta access. That beta access could be 3 years from now. Diablo release dates have a history of being delayed, and probably won't happen until Christmas 2012. Guess what, you don't have to resub another year to keep that deal.

If you thought it was anything different than that, you can only blame yourself for inferring information that wasn't there.

That being said... yes, companies to plan big promotional things around subscriptions or cancellation. They want your money. If you ran a business, you'd want money too. To think it's a conspiracy or anything but making money, you're just silly.

And really, sometimes things just aren't ready at launch. They can't win. If they released the full system they had, but it wasn't perfect, people would have complained. They delayed the release to beef it up, and people complain. You either enjoy the game and you'll continue to sub until you do, regardless of the features coming. Or, you don't enjoy the game and you'll quit subbing, regardless of the features coming.
