  1. Maybe we like the class we're playing. Maybe we realize that PVP class balance is utterly impossible and that certain ACs are going to be better than others at similar tasks.

Maybe we don't PVP and couldn't care less about your problems and wish you'd quit whining because you and your buddies are going to cause a nerf of whatever class you are whining about and screw that AC up for PVE players.

    Agreed.

  2. In wow, before there was cross server lfg, people could be jerks and get away with it; the guy who ninja'd one of the mounts from a raid he was leading, who continued to run his own raids week after week, and was in guilds even after that happened.

In EQ, with no cross server lfg, people could be jerks and get away with it. Ninja Looter. Female Wood Elven Druid. Has been known on more than one occasion to loot items that were not hers & then /q out. Recently, she stood over a corpse for the 10th ring quest & clicked on it till she could loot. Looted 4 items, some being no drop & then /q out. Then had the nerve to say it was just a big accident caused by lag after the GM was contacted. She was still in a guild when I stopped playing, several (4?) years after that incident. As were a number of other people who habitually Trained, KS'd and jumped camps, including an enchanter in Companions, which ranged from the #1 to #3 guild on the server during that time.

In rift, with no cross server lfg, people could be jerks and get away with it. The top guild on my server (defiant side) had someone who was well known as an abuser: kicking people from groups right before bosses, need rolling on stuff that he wanted to sell, etc. He was still in that guild, as far as I remember when they transferred off.

Pugs can do that just fine without cross server lfg. The notion that this only happens with cross server (or is even increased by it) is ludicrous at best.

Yeah but if a person keeps being a jerk on their own server and everyone puts him on ignore... good luck to him finding more pugs. That was the beauty of ignore... it would prevent you grouping from that person again. Sadly that doesn't seem to work with PvP yet... but hopefully soon.

  3. Things are too dark now. the outline is good.. highlighting that is. I like that part but most abilities are too dark.

Also, abilities are still suffering from overlap-cooldowns... which is to say that if I have a long cooldown on actionbar 5, my instant-ability or 4-second-CD ability on actiobar 1 will often show the wrong cooldown shading on it. That's always fun.

  4. Great post indeed :) But their ticket response quality is really poor. I've gotten SO many responses that have nothing to do with what my ticket said... I never had any problems of that sort with some of the other stuff I played. I mean I did sometimes get odd responses, but they were so few and far between that it never bugged me. When I submit tickets in SWTOR I wince inwardly at what kind of response I'm going to get and often wonder if anyone even sees/reads them.

That's really kind of my only complaint.. overall I think this game is still fantastic.

  5. Not only is the social point grind absolutely stupid, but mine is bugged. I'm level 50 and still level 1 social (525 points). Hasn't moved since level 20

Ya I heard about that but not sure what's causing it... cuz my smuggler is at social level 3 right now.

  6. I agree with OP. I levelled my smuggler with my husband til she caught up with my Jedi Consular, and now my smuggler is nearly at social 4. My consular levelled solo mostly and she's only at social 1 (STILL) but she's been levelling with my husband's toon now, so hopefully that improves..

Having done both "types" of levelling I can say that social points are extremely hard to get if you don't have a good buddy who is willing to only play their toon when you play... so I think this needs to be fixed. I've seen items marked as social level 10 and I have no idea how long it would take to get there but it seems rather ridiculous..

  7. dont even try to get to get these points yet...

why you ask? cause they are bugged out you will freeze points right before social 2 is reached. anthor great bugged.

I should be social 8 by now, sent in ticket is no fix . buggy buggy buggy , just like everything else in this game.

Wha...? My toon is nearly at social 4. <_<

  8. The reason why nothing sells and the GTN is worthless is because gear wise nothing is special. Even mats are so easy for anyone to obtain they aren't even worth bothering looking for on the GTN. Same with mods, sicne pretty much anyone can make mods or use commendations for them, then why even bother looking on the GTN. Also gear is handed to you after every flash point, so you are always adequetly well geared. This is why i hate the level based gear system, because it puts such a huge damper on what you can wear at certain levels. I missed stat based gear. Then even if you are a low level, but put all your ponits into a certain stat then you actually have a chance at wearing uber gear.

I dunno everything (except 1 item) that I've listed has sold... it's just about knowing what is in-demand. I've sold implants, certain types of gear, and augments.

As for the OP... there's a warning at level 20 to save up for your mount/training.

That being said the only thing I find overpriced in this game generally speaking are abilities. at level 47 I'm spending like 40k to upgrade abilities.

Now... in terms of value vs. price, speeder training is a bit ridiculous. What I mean by that is at level 50 you spend over 500k for a grand "total" of 110% speed increase. Whoopie. That's a 20% increase from the low-level speeder training. Now if it went from 100 to 150 to 175%... might be more worth it. I don't like being forced to spend on upgrading my speeders for the sake of not getting knocked off... not fun. In fact I still find that I'm getting knocked off every now and then despite having spent 250k so far. 250k does not justify the 10% increase in speed and the very minor improvement to being thrown off.

  9. I'd even be content with the plain Jedi robes from the movies, like the kinds Shaak Ti, Obi-Wan, or Mace Windu have. Plain, simple, and they work. But our current options aren't even that good.

Again with the Jedi Knights, their robes seem to work perfectly. Take out the bulkiness from under-armor, and you've got perfect consular gear.

I've seen plain brown robes in-game... did you come across those? It has a hood but I actually used them for a long time... I kind of like them and I think I kept them in my bank.
