Agreed with OP. I picked a PVE server here on TOR just so I could avoid the open world pvp that many other games have, I'm just not that interested in it. But I can see the appeal and I would think that's the whole point of a PVP server, for non-newbie players to constantly have that pvp risk/opportunity. If this is what most people expect from a PVP server, make it that way!

People speak up when they believe they have reason to complain, and are even more ready to voice their complaints when they see others complaining also. Sadly, praise is expressed largely in the opposite manor. Few people speak up when they have reason for praise and are less likely to bother contributing their praise when they see others doing so. This is why there's almost always an outcry of complains and virtually never an outpouring of praise.

It always amazes me that when you get a very large group of people together like those that pre-ordered SWTOR, it doesn't matter what happens. There's always a very vocal group of individuals who will complain. The developers could be ******** solid gold bricks and passing them out to everyone, but this small minority will be screaming at the rafters about not getting their brick fast enough or that they smell vaguely of ***. Who cares, you're rich! Cash it your ****** brick, wash your hands, and live it up! Your complaining doesn't represent the vast majority of players who are just happy the game they pre-ordered is finally live. We'll all get in eventually, most likely all of us by Friday. If this trivial non-issue is so bad for you, go cry to your mommy.

That's exactly my situation, right down to the 4pm EST and the claim of the 22nd. Regardless, I'll be surprised if I don't get the email sometime today. I'm a little disappointed that the first batch didn't include everyone who entered their code on day 1.
