My thoughts are in the link in my sig (http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=216855). To that post, add this:
- No day/night cycle
- No swimming
- No housing
- No Pazaak, Sabacc, Dejarik, races, casino, etc...
- Dumbed down character creation
- No post-creation character customization
- No appearance tab/outfit system
- No high res textures
- No environmental interaction (chairs, walls, doors, etc...)
- Simple combat with static enemies
- Unconvincing and stiff animations
- Empty dead worlds with not enough NPCs moving around
- No collision detection
- No stats on resources
- No crafting customization
- Restriction in choice of starship
- No ship decoration
- Dumbed down space combat
- No multiplayer space combat
- Removal of many races
- No faction change/neutrality
- Restriction and instanced planets by faction
- Less planets than announced
- Planets rated by levels with no reason to go back
- No GM events
- Removal of choice to kill companion
- Removal of possibility to talk to other faction at all times
- No RP tools
- Nothing to do post-story
- Endgame consisting on waiting in fleet
ouch!

Great idea - this will help shut up the ridiculous threads about taking 4 hours to get somewhere.

Anyone wish fot a third action bar at the bottom? Somtimes I do.
I know I am naming that which should not be named... but the Bartender MOD for WoW is about as perfect as an action bar interface as I could imagine in my wettest dreams.

Oh yes - and in terms of "Epic" mmo fights there is the 18 hour fight against a FFXI boss:
-
instead of tank/healer/dps and 4 people per group it was...
tank, offtank, damage, hybrid/mezzer, heals, buffer/offheal in 6 person parties.
was good times. a lot more fun. a lot more options.
I knew you were talking about FFXI.
I loved being the puller.
Now that "wow-like" mmos have the tank as the puller, I tend to gravitate to the tanking role.

Yes please, for non-bound items. Bound items seems a bit to powerful and would lead to a lot of messed up loot situations in flashpoints. If you think people rolling on loot for their companions is bad, think about if we could roll on loot for our alts.

I play in full-screen windowed mode. The only problem I have is that sometimes the screenshot button doesn't work.
Otherwise its fine.

Did NM EV some Hours ago and we got this new nice title duno might have been buged before. The Infernal , how to get this is to do Speed run under 2H NM -_-
2H what a **** we clear that **** in 30-40mins and u give us a speed run Title under 2H
Give some title u can be Proud of doing!! and be bit hard well i know the bosses aren't hard at all. give like none die in the raid or just speed run under 30mins
From trying to make head or tails out of this, I don't see why Bioware *should* care about "Hardcore" gamers.
Or at least they should care as much as "Hardcore" gamers care about grammar, spelling, and moving out of mom's basement.

I has become interesting to me that so many people have compared SWTOR to WOW and said that Bioware is completely fail because it doesn't have a recount system in the game for players who raid.
I absolutely understand that Blizzard's game has this due to their reliance on the use of Addons in their game. (Don't think for a minute that Blizzard doesn't rely on addons for their game.) When you look at a bare bones stock UI though Bioware isn't missing many things in relation to Blizzard. World of Warcrafts UI without the use of any addons is pretty lazy as well. I can't think of many games that have actually done their UI very well. I would say the best so far has been RIFT.
Anyway what do you guys think? I'm not talking about opening the game to mods, but does SWTOR NEED the recount feature as long as they don't allow the use of addons/mods?
***I will probably throw some of your answers up on my site because i'm covering this topic today and tomorrow. Hopefully this isnt' against any of the sites TOS, I enjoy getting people to talk about subjects like this and SWTOR forums has a great community to do that.
They've succeeded by not including it.

To me, the question is more along the lines of: How much SWTOR advertisements, special offers, etc... will we see bundled with Mass Effect 3? Will SWTOR advertisements even make it into the loading screens of Mass Effect 3? (like how SWTOR ads were in Deus Ex HR loading screens?

With quite literally no word on this from the Devs, I had 2 choices:
1.Take the risk of having to reroll when legacy comes out and make an alt, substantially extending the duration during which I enjoy the game.
2. Play it safe and wait until March to make an alt, and either choke down the abysmal casual end-game play or cancel until march.
If I can't retroactively apply any character customization options earned via the legacy system to characters that already exist (within reason of course) I'll immediately cancel my subscription.
You live a very exciting, high stakes life.

I would say companion AOE is a bit different than a targeted heal. And for targeted heal it just needs to prompt you the first time if you want to flag for pvp.
-
Meh, some people don't like continuously being destroyed because they lack the skills for PvP. It happens.
Most PVP is not skill-based. For example, 4 people vs. 1, where the 1 is questing. Where is the "skill" in that?
Underneath its just people getting a kick out of being mean to another human being. How is that fun?

Yes please. So far 1 time out of 100 I've opened up the bug report window on purpose using that key.
And my bug report was that there was no way to unbind the \ key from the bug report window.

As someone who played X-Wing, Descent Freespace, etc... I'd want space combat to be something more along those lines.
If BW wants to keep with the current model, then they should expand it, make it work more like Gummi Ships in Kingdom Hearts I & II, which despite being a PS2 "gamelet" within a larger game, is a much more feature-rich and mature "space combat line shooter" than what's currently in place.
Yup - I said it - Gummi Ships.
-
seriously this game is boring as ******* but there is no alternative atm
Get a job?
-
Actually it can and frankly that demo looks more a live than the planets in TOR.
Wah....
-
I would love to see this, although I know its basically asking for another game within a game.
Space combat is fairly optional to being with.
Can you imagine if the space combat was re-built to leverage a ... gasp... FLIGHTSTICK?!?!!?!?
There would be great whining perhaps from some sectors... but there would also be a collective "uh oh" as every single person who enjoyed X-Wing, Tie-Fighter, X-wing vs. Tie Fighter, Descent: Freespace, Descent: Freespace 2, Wing Commander I-IV, Privateer, etc... including the executives at Saitek wet their sweatpants with glee!

Hello,
I know its a tall order, but I'd like to see daytime/nightime cycles introduced to the planet areas.
Maybe people don't ooh and aah over it right away, but I think it adds a subtle, but very significant impact to how people perceive how "durable" or "interesting" an area is.
Please consider it.

Thanks for this awesome thread.
I picked me up a E-313 Heavy Repeating Disruptor, quite happy with it. Can't complain about a gun that's got a scope on top of a scope.

They don't look very Star Warsy, do they?
All things considered they are fairly comparable to the in-game blaster rifles: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=119938

I was going to post a picture of some nerf guns... but then I started looking at the nerf guns themselves and DAMN those are some pretty cool designs they got there.
They license Star Wars IP, couldn't they license or collaborate with Nerf for some of the gun designs?
I mean look at these:

The big list: http://nerfguns.net/all/
Ticks me offfffff: Sometimes I can screenshot, sometimes I can't.
