  1. It's always sad to see people go! Hopefully you'll return again someday. I wish you the best in whatever you'll do!

    Bye!🤗

Thanks for your kind words. In my life: "I never say Never". I needed a new TV so I decided to get a PS4 and go that direction. (For time I have, it works better for me) I'm all for Star Wars, so naturally it was no surprise to friends that I went with Battlefront2 as first game purchase. :)

    Again. Thanks!

  2. Side note on gear:

I wouldn't recommend buying mods/gear from vendors as an upgrade. All you need to do is run Heroic 2 missions that are on each planet, each day. Can do them once a day. After you complete the Heroic, you get free loot. You could also loot items from the beasts you kill. Use if you need, sell to a vendor if it's not an upgrade. Do this til you hit level 70. :)

  3. After watching the pixals I accumulated in SWG go poof...the last thing i will do is spend 50 on a saber. Most of my toons have their weapons picked out by level 10 and are held in reserve until they hit max. I have to admit, some of the sabers blades do look pretty cool, but not $50 cool. I did overspend on a Bantha via CM a while back...1200. thats my limit, i think. I mostly wait for sales and after three instances where i had to have a CM market item (packs or otherwise) and, now, dont even look at them i find my days of spending CC on things such as this are pretty much done. .........SNIP...).

SWG? Same boat here. Had a few TCG homes I spent a few credits on back in the day. Only to log in on a Tues morning to read the servers were being closed. I still miss Star Wars Galaxies. :(

  4. Log into your account, click the "redeem code" button link. Next, click in appropriate area and type in the following, without spaces or " ".

    "kotorspeeder"

You get the Kotor speeder unlocked! It arrives in your mail, for every toon you have. I found this code on SWTOR twitter account. ** Code Ends on November 6th **.

    Edit:

    Added YouTube Link of Vehicle

    Edit:

    Enjoy. :)

  5. I'm not exactly a new player, though I feel like it since I've been away for a bit over a year. I'm going to be coming back to check out where things stand with the game. How difficult would it be to get a brief take on where the classes stand? Or at the very least, any that are in bad shape and to be avoided? Thanks in advance!

Welcome back to the galaxy. I always do "what's fun for me" and I never seem to go wrong. Enjoy your return, good luck in your travels. :)

  6.

Anytime I read "NGE", I shiver. It's almost become a part of life. Like when people just reply "Google" when asked a question. N.G.E stands for New Gaming Experience, from Star Wars Galaxies MMO, for those that are unaware. It was a very fun online game, until the devs "NGE'd it". Years, years, years later...people are still upset about it.

If it came back and I had to start over at nothing, I'd sign a life time sub to it. I'm old and that isn't going to happen, sadly. :(

  7. Was the Kurtob speeder nerfed? There is no mention of it in the patch notes.

I decided to start a new character to check out the new intros, yet the mount isn't going its normal 110% speed (as stated in the tooltip and what was used as a selling feature for it). It seems to be going 90% like the other mounts now

Agreed. I'm hoping it's fixed soon.

  8. Greetings my friends:

I decided the game was no longer fun for me, so I cancelled a few days ago. Just wanted to let all my (SWG)friends know why I haven't been online. The "straw that broke my back" was the lack of a crafting fix. I just don't care for the current crafting system, at all. I also severely miss having a house/shop of my own where friends can stop by and say hello from time to time. I have a need for balanced gameplay, with the game the way it currently is, all I did was combat. :(

I wish you all the best, hopefully we'll run into each other again in another life. :)

May the force be with you...

  9. I just wanted to publicly thank anyone that has ever helped me in or out of game before my subscription runs out and I'm unable. I have decided the game is no longer fun, for me. In my opinion the lack of player housing and a more complex crafting system are my main reasons. For me, if I find a game is "all about" combat, I get burnt out and lose interest.

I wish the game and all its players all the luck in the world! Take care! :)

May the force be with you...

  10. Greetings friends:

Who was I? I was a friend, a guildmate and probably leaned more towards crafting then running around

with my saber. My journey began before the offical launch of Star Wars Galaxies. I was lucky enough to

be in BETA, rolling characters on the Tarquinas galaxy. My last known location was at the "finale party"

on that final night on Tattooine, where my Jedi was born.

My favorite memory? Very hard to pick but this ones "right up there".

I was logged into my second account, with my Kael (Chef/Merchant) character. (There was "TEF" back then )

I was minding my own business, trying to sell my wares on Dantooine. I sold some Mandalorian wine to an

Imperial BH and was about to head back to my shop. At the starport I was met by a Rebel Jedi, wielding a

saber! I was unarmed and had no combat training but he sliced me down! Just when I thought he was going

to death-blow me, he stopped and tried to apologize to me as he ran towards the Imperial I had just

done business with! I quickly got up and ran to the landing ship and flew away, living to craft and

    sell my wares another day!

[ T.E.F = Temporary Enemy Flag. Within SWG you could change your "pvp status" basically. The Imperial was

flagged as PVP-Enabled when I traded him the wine. Because I did business with him, I was given a TEF,

which would ware off by itself in time. The Jedi got to me before it went away! ]

( Encounter managed to land my friends and I in "SOE WORLDS" magazine, see "Tarquinas" below )

I was Ussani,Modaan,Kael,Silvara,Ro'shi, starting galaxy was Tarquinas, ending galaxy was Starsider. I

will *always* be proud to say that I played Star Wars Galaxies.

  11. I agree with the OP. We played SWG for years had many many home filled with all the stuff we had hunted down. And if you do add homes and citys I think you would see more couples like us playing.

At least tell us if you plan to add these later down the road.

    *Looks at Loralees signature*

So can I hire you for a dance?

  12. I'm totally for housing! I played SWG from Beta on and loved having my own home. Anyone who knows me, knows why it made a difference to me, so I'm not going to give all the many reasons.

My point: It made a giant impact on me, I would love this game to have housing like StarWars Galaxies!

  13. I used this when I played SWG and we were "asked" to transfer off our galaxy. Basically, use the friends list, here's what I mean:

If your toon is going to be Imperial, log in a "test" toon (not actual name you're wanting to be). After you get through the story-line, try to add your name to your friends list. If it says it's an invalid player, your name isn't taken. If you're able to add it, sorry, someone has taken the name!

[ If going to be Republic, do the same ]

This worked because SWG's naming system wasn't too quick on removing inactive accounts/names from the game. I am unsure how StarWars/Old Republic works, so this all may not even be necessary.

  14. Personally, I would love to see Creature Handlers in this game. I don't care where "they came from originally" or what the name of this game (or that) is. Point is, the "CH" idea was brilliant in my opinion and it would make this game more interesting. Again, my opinions. Everyone has a right to their own, even if they difer.

All I know is it would make a difference to me, I find my interest "lacking" in this last month.
