With Bolster, having a set of gear that will bolster you to be competitive is fairly easy. Spend your comms and buy a set of Makeb purples.... With Bolster, you'll get roughly 2014 EXP. Hell, you could even augment that gear with 28's of your choosing to have a slight edge.

True. I think RWZ comms will be a little easier to come by for the masses given the smaller ranked teams, and the ability to queue solo for Ranked Arenas. Ranked right now is tough even if you have a legitimate team of 8v8, especially on Jung Ma. Getting the comms to swap to Conquerer post 2.4 shouldn't be that hard but I think I'll start ONLY if I find myself getting to the limit.

So, I've been slowly accruing RWZ comms through grinding 8v8's and converting them and I was about to start changing out my fully augmented Partisan gear for Conquerer. With the new set coming out, and I better off trying to have full conquerer at 2.4 launch with as many comms as possible in ranked or should I save them all until 2.4 drops then switch? My current guild doesn't do much ranked stuff so getting the ranked comms (right now) is tough. Being able to queue solo for Arenas will be nice.

Ha, oops! I also run in Windowed mode with no issues. Is this a pre-built machine? Home built? I'd check and remove all the "bloatware" too. My motherboard installed all sorts of "accelerators" for USB, etc, that made my system much more stable once I got rid of them.

I have a i7-3770k running 32MB RAM, and a GTX 660 Ti FTW+ 3GB and I have everything maxed out with no lag. Sure it's not your internet connection? I'm not running Unleashed and I don't even have it installed on my SSD, just a standard 1TB 7200RPM drive.

Use planetary comms and buy the level 56 makeb purple mods for a set of gear... You should be able to buy a complete set with 100 comms. ... This should get you to where you need to be in terms of gear. I also ran solely with Doc.. I made sure to gear him up as best as possible, too. It may take a bit longer having to clear mobs out yourself but Doc made me invincible.

Find a friend that will build you one. Even if you toss them $100-150, you will STILL make out cheaper in the long run. Corsair Vengence case Components are cheap, especially if you stick behind a generation. Pay good money for a good video card.

Buy WZ Adrenals/Medpacs until you hit 40 Valor, then trade in your WZ Comms for Ranked Comms. As you get closer to 55, and you're very dilligent about returning items, you could buy level 40 weapons from the PVP dealer and return them 2 hours later. Basically, you want to hit 55 with full comms. You can sell stacks of 99 adrenals/medpacks for generally 80-100k

I need some help maxing my stats for PVP.. Here's where I'm at now in basically full Partisan (minus a belt) and 2 Conquerer relics. I also have Advanced overkill 28's augemented on everything but the 2 Implants, Ear, and my wrist so I have a little to work with. These stats are unbuffed. ST: 1951 END: 2313 EXP: 1909 POWER: 1004 ACC: 120 CRIT: 39 (bought the wrong piece so I'll be swapping out this enhancement) SURGE: 480 FPOWER: 1606 My strength seems to be a bit low.. Should I swap out some mods/enhancements and sacrifice some endurance, or do I use my 4 remaining augments for Might augments for the 104 ST.... My accuracy is like at 96% so I know I probably need to bring that up to 100% (augments?) I could use some thoughts! I had a thread but it's not getting a lot of looks.

Keep in mind, this is unbuffed with no Force MIght, Stims, etc.

Maybe stack 4 Advanced Might mods? Should I even bother getting the waist or will the loss of the EXP on that piece really not affect me. Right now I'm using my PVE waist that has 66 mods in it. I do have an extra Deft Mod AX.

This is where I'm sitting for stats now - what should I be focusing on? with 2.0, alcarity seems to be a useless stat for Sentinels.

Last I checked, no one has a gun to your head forcing you to spend cartel coins on the packs.

I started 55 WZs in Makeb purple gear, and while I wasn't smashing people, I was holding my own - and I was being bolstered to around 2010 EXP. My PVE gear is now full 65/68 (can't remember - 28 mods) and I was getting CRUSHED in WZs with my EXP now down under 1200ish IIRC... I'm nearly geared in Partisan gear, with Overkill augments, and both Conquerer Relics and I'm doing much better than I was in the higher PVE gear.... If you've been saving comms correctly, it's not very hard to start out 55 WZs with the full left size with Conquerer relics/Implants and the rest Partisan gear..... You can probably have full gear if you stat on top of the dailies/weeklies in 2 weeks.

Big question is, sell the packs or gamble on the items. Got a small stache of a couple speeders, both saber hilts, a copper crystal, a bunch of armor, and a couple sarlac pits... I have a handful of unopened packs and now I'm wondering if I should sell them or roll the dice on opening them for items. Gotta see the market.

Maybe this has already been said in 39 pages but you guys are idiots. The collections function is in place for items that you equip and are BOUND to you. If you bought something with CC, then sold it on the GTN, why should you also be allowed to get a free unlock of that item? You can't have your cake and eat it, too. You either equip it, bind it, and allow yourself to add it to your "collections" or you sell it for profit on the GTN -- you can't have both.

Had a 6v8 Voidstar as well.. Never backfilled and we still won LOL. I sent a bug report.... Started a Hypergate 4v8... That was a bit ridiculous.

Thanks for the help all. It's definitely making things a little clearer. My guild is more PVE orientated so I'm kind of doing this alone. I'll prob do as suggested and pick up those left-side pieces first.

Is there a generic piece progression to follow to maximize the gains? Relics/ear/implants etc over armor or weapons, etc?

I already have MK-9 augment slots in most of my gear - been upgrading them as I go - so I'll prob just rip the mods out of that gear and put them into this set. I've been stacking power at this point but I know once I get a real set of gear, i'll have to really start looking at what will become most beneficial.

Will bolster really make that much of a difference in the 55 bracket? I'm generally crushing people now even as a combat sentinel in my purple Makeb mods (58's) - Usually top 3 of damage and DPS. I realize that's all going to change once I hit 55 - I just want to make my transition as painless as possible. 2-3 pieces of ranked gear, with bolster, be that much better than with say 5-6 piece of normal gear with bolster? I haven't done ANY 50+ ops yet so while PVE will eventually happen, I'm way behind the curve on that besides the set of purple mods you get from the Makeb vendor. I'm also running MK-6 augments at the moment in most of the gear (besides relics/implants/ear).

So, I'm about to ding 55 (thanks Double XP). I'll have max WZ comms and about 2400 ranked comms.. I was hoping to have more ranked but the 2XP kind of accelerated the leveling. So, with that being said - what's going to be more beneficial once I hit 55: Buy a couple pieces of PVP gear and immediately spend the ranked comms to upgrade it to ranked gear? Buy WZ Comms (1:1) with the ranked and buy more pieces of standard WZ gear?

I play a level 53 Combat Sentinel (working my way up) and I never feel outgunned. The focus management can be a bit overwhelming - you actually have to THINK. But when people are playing correctly, and there are healers, I'm generally at the top of the leader board in DMG/DPS..... Seems to work ok for me! Learn to play your character rather than just bash it.
