  1. Let me just clear the air here. The original poster is very wrong. I play sentinel, i dont even consider alts. I like my class and strive to be better at it. The buffs for us are extreme in my eyes. But I speak of Jedi Knight's as well as Sentinel since both areas being buffed have made us something to be concerned about on the field. And for the vast majority of people saying Watchman/Annihilate is the top spec, you are all wrong. The top spec is Combat/carnage. Anyone can go watchman and spam fluff dmg as aoe topping dmg meters etc etc. Combat and Carnage have incredible burst and are the most dangerous when running an assist train. This is why seeing the changes to combat I find this a very big buff. I can sympathise for the casters, as even before 1.2 I had no problem at all dropping most of them. Now with no focus spent on interupts we have 2 extra for more Blade rush spam, legslash if ever needed etc etc. Your comment on Pacify being useless in pvp actually has 90% of sentinels/marauders who know their class giggling at that comment, as well as clapping their hands in excitement as it has been made extremely useful. Even before I would make sure it was used every time the CD was ready, if not on my target but on someone getting pounded. I dont see Temperance as a nerf. If your not using sweep or cyclone while out of combat then you didnt realise that spamming these when not doing anything gives you Centering. I have never specced temperance and do well enough without it. The basics of this class are ridiculously easy to pick up but it amazes me that there are so many who can't understand the mechanics well enough. Feel free to disagree about watchman/anni, but i strongly think combat and maybe focus is the way to go now. Rated warzones will be about control, high burst and good assisting. Watchmen can lock out a healer easier but this is irrelevent to good combat/carnage players.
  2. I completely agree with this. Although from my perspective it seems that the guy who preferred retaliation is newer to the class, ( i cant say bad since i cant see what he does in pvp). I used retaliation for levelling up. Never touched it at 50. If you have excess rage all the time then your missing out on something vital. Bladerush > Retaliation, doesnt matter if retalitiation cant be parried etc. You shouldnt really have such excess rage all the time. Don't get so defensive on criticism. It's how we find the best builds. My points here will be criticised also but that's how we learn. The above poster though is 100% correct. I am sentinel so i get mixed up with your abilities but speccing for a 1focus/rage cyclone slash spam is perfect for voidstar. 5 ppl trying to cap the bomb you planted... spam it like mad and they will NOT get it for one. Extra centering/fury is an amazing gain. No target required, mediocre but nice damage with precision. Force sweep with PrecSlash critting all for 2.5k-3k (maybe more). It is just too good to pass. The points spent in the rage/focus tree is debatable for all, but not speccing for QR is indeed a BIG mistake in my eyes. Patch 1.2 will mean ravager/master focus is VERY nice since it will boost master strike damage. All I can suggest is try the spec with QR and you will see a vast improvement.
  3. If you want to troll each other and whine who is right about Guardians then go make another post. If you actually check the original post again (which you're probably too scared to do since your looking out for the "other guys" retort you will realise that this is a SENTINEL PVP guide. Can we stick to the original topic and work from there please? Now... Regarding Force Fade, the jury is still out for me as I rarely found the use for it when pvping with my guild. However, I did indeed find it incredibly handy when running solo in warzones. So all in all I guess its the usual comment in that it depends how you prefer to play. I myself am still on a learning curve in respect of maximising damage, but the rotations originally posted are indeed a good call for those new to the class. With practise you will be able to utilise it while also prioritising other required tasks of a sentinel's role in pvp. Good post! Some investigation into Focus would indeed be appreciated. Although I would find it hard to see that it would "out do" watchman spec.
