  1. I posted an app. I'm new and kinda casual at this point in my life, just lookin for some people to chill and play with. Mostly interested in PvE content, but I'll pretty much do whatever. I'm work-from-home for the foreseeable future, so I've been passively doing crew skills during the day, but I can really only "play" a couple evenings a week (Eastern timezone). I can play any roles at a reasonably competent level, though I am not necessarily going to be able to dedicate a ton of time to long-form 'raid' equivalent content. Extremely chill and non-toxic. Don't mind helping people out or whatever. Main: Malgory - 46 Sith Sorc, intended to be a healer Alt: Dagoven - 15 Powertech, intended to be a tank
  2. Found the fix, in case anyone ever finds this post while searching for the same issue. 1.) add bioware.swtor.com domain to exclusions in BitDefender 2.) temporarily use different email, then switch it back. For gmail, you can use an alternate domain like email@googlemail.com to have it still send to your primary "gmail" address. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Troubleshooting-Guides-Info/GUIDE-Email-Validation-and-One-Time-Passwords/m-p/6645595#M49
  3. What is up with the security method layering in this game? I'm a subscriber with an account created in 2011 (I played only briefly, decided to try it again this week). Email has been the same email since 2011, steam account has been attached, I have received and completed the "one-time authentication" from the launcher THREE times in the past 2 days. My first char is level 20 and now I've been hit with another layer of security auth -- the "validate email" from ingame. Only, this time, entering in my email doesn't seem to do anything. I've been sitting here for a half hour waiting for it to send me whatever the next steps are. I think that it thinks I don't have an email attached and it wants an "unused" email for some reason. What do I do? I don't want to attach some other email to the account, this is my primary email where the things I want to keep live. I was having fun and just wanted to get a couple missions in with my morning coffee... this seems a little over the top. Why is it so crazy for such a low level character? If someone wants to hack this account and take the whopping 20k credits I've collected over the past few hours, go for it.
