  1. Accuracy adds depth to the gearing process. Maybe you want things dumbed down even further, but I do not.

Actually it does EXACTLY the opposite. Needing Accuracy on almost everything reduces your choices and dumbs the game down severely through it, because you don't need to think about what to get on your gear.

There are no less than twenty Flashpoints and five operations that are irrelevant, useless content for endgame players, except MAYBE for a few commendations. That matters.

That's at least as it should be. Sadly the new content with the expansion is paper thin specially as far as the FPs are considered and I suspect THAT is the real reason for the nerf, so that the old content stays somewhat relevant, because the new content isn't enough.

9k attacks against someone with 50k hp vs

18k attacks against someone with 100k hp

Your opponent is going to die in the same amount of time. Why is having "teh bigga numba" so important to you?

Because it gives you a better feeling of progression or to say it like this: If it doesn't make a difference mechanical wise, why NOT have slightly larger numbers? ;)

  2. I just don't understand the "oh the damage was too high" argument. Well...how about increasing the health of the new mobs?

And the accuracy change is a perfect example that there is utter chaos in the development team by now and no one knows what the others are doing.

Just look at the items you can get from tokens and commendations now. Sure, they were never great, but now half of them are not only damnable ugly to press people into buying stupid packs, but also utterly useless without buying another item to switch out all the enhancements and mods.

Who designs this crap? "Oh cool, I can get a new item! With crit rating and without accuracy...so I might as well not bother in the first place." This is NOT fun, it is tiresome and frustrating and only shows that NO ONE looked over the stats at all. They were just randomly generated and put on the items without ever thinking about if they would be at all useful for the different classes. That a lot of the items are still bugged (like the 192 force healer implants having lower stats than the old 168 ones) is just a case in point.

  3. I guess that I'm notorious now, but to me thsat's just another proof that SWTOr is an "Empire gamer", and that both devs & QA ONLY play Empire ... They are not at all interested in the Republic side ...

And this is by far not the first bug only on Rep side - with Imp side always been working correctly ... The current Patch notes are just another example of that ...

The game is riddled with bugs and glitches, no matter what side you are on. Even weeks after release most of the implants are still bugged, half of the companion weapons you get from Revan's Weekly are bugged, the items you can get for tokens or commendations are jokes (crit anyone?) and they do exactly NOTHING about it.

It will be interesting to see, if they will ever fix that range bug.

  4. I don't know what you want.

On level 60 you now have the choice between 2 half assed tactitcal fps designed for lower levels and 4 hard mode fps that are just changed (as in horribly bugged) versions of tactical fps you played like 100 times already with level 55.

How can that not be enough content? Geez, it's almost like you people actually paid money for the expansion or something.

  5. I ran in to this same problem yesterday when questing but figured out away around it. Since the quest is bugged I will post how I did it. I think it works 100% but i have only done it twice so far. Both times worked.

This also worked for me...kinda. I did it for the first phase, in the second phase at 30% the fissures actually spawned and I could end the fight as intended. :)

  6. 50k is whopping ? lol .... ok ...

For people that just rejoined the game a short while age that is A LOT, yeah. And we are not talking about some optical stuff, we are talking about ESSENTIAL purchases you HAVE to make. From 55 to 60 you will have to pay way over 1 mio. credits for your skills.

At the very least the questing should COVER those expanses, but you get no where near those sums.

  7. - one shotting 40 man raid boss

    - everyone and their brother farmed lower levels raids for gold, because soloable

Healing and threat are also going down.

Those weren't the reasons they squished it and those raids are at least supposed to be soloable the same way as they were before.

Being able to solo the old raids was never a problem for Blizzard (and it shouldn't), they even changed a number of encounters in such a way, that you CAN solo them now and they added little pets to the loot tables and so on.

They also reduced the amount of gold those bosses drop already during Cataclysm when people were farming the early Burning Crusade Raids for gold. So that isn't an issue either.

The main goal for Blizzard was to reduce the overall numbers in the game. Not only threat generation, healing and damage, but also the HP of basically EVERY mob in the game.

BTW: Being able to solo some of the older group content would be kinda cool and makes your character feel more powerful. It also wouldn't really break the game balance, if you were able to "farm" the 150 rating items on level 60, when even green items will likely be well above that.

  8. So, WoW isn't MMO anymore then?

    That doesn't make any sense.

WoW had the squish because the overall numbers became so large, that they were about to reach technical limitations and it slowed the whole game down more and more, since WoW is still pretty much a single core game.

They also didn't just reduce damage but all kinds of stats. ;)

  9. They already said that only content that could get too difficult is DP/DF NiM. They also said that if content gets too difficult then they have to adjust it.

No, level 50 ops don't get difficult because currently they look like this at level 55:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ToFMsDj6TY

And how do they look like on level 50 in the gear you are supposed to have on that level with 3.0?

That you can faceroll level 50 Ops on level 55 gear is kinda normal. In WoW you can solo the old raids and it is actually good funny to solo kill the big bosses, that you wiped again and again on with a whole raid.. Blizzard even changed some of them, so you can solo them.

  10. I agree with you on that. But devs said target DPS for Deception is 4125. They have a sustained of 4125.

    FOR LEVEL 60!

Is it really that difficult to understand?

Even IF the lowest DPS spec gets a SLIGHT buff, you are still comparing a level 60 character in 198 rating gear to a level 55 character in 180/186 gear.

I'm comparing level 55 characters in 162 before and after 3.0.

  11. Please point me to where the Developers said that players will be doing "far less damage." That is a completely made up statement regarding the 3.0 damage reduction.

What they actually said was, "Level 55 guys will come down a little bit and they’ll come back up to where they’re suppose to be at Level 60."

"Come down a little bit" and "far less damage" are not even in the same ballpark as comments.

Besides that fact, the Developers have also now provided some of their specific DPS target levels for 3.0. 4,125 DPS for a burst spec in non-optimized 198 gear is the internal target they have set. There is a higher, undisclosed, DPS target for sustained damage specs.

So unless you're a player who is currently pulling greater than 4,125 DPS, you'll have a nice high DPS ceiling to continue to work towards in 3.0.

Those are the goals for level 60 in 198 gear. I'm talking about level 55 characters in 162+ gear.

If level 60 characters are supposed to do about as much damage, as well equipped level 55 now, then level 55 characters will do a lot less damage, as they do now, so they will run into problems wherever a good amount of damage is required.

  12. Have they explained how it will work for PvE content? I mean how are you supposed to do the old ops with level 50/55 without getting into trouble with enrage timers if you do far less damage? And will fights just take much longer in general? I don't really like this change, if they don't also reduce all the health pools. Long fights are boring and tedious specially outside of OPs.
  13. The game is already dying, most semi-hardcore and hardcore gamers will leave it soon or already have left it, because there is nothing to do, no content, no goals etc. to beat or achieve.

In our guild people are leaving the game or discussing what other game we could play together and during the day there is hardly anyone online. Most only come online, to do Ops for a few hours and that's it.
