  1. Sorry i should have been clearer, i was meaning healers such as commandos and Scoudrels. In the WZ's listed above i saw 1 commando and 1 scoundrel healers during those games. Such a shame as it would be nice to see more. I wasn't saying Rep;s are bad in general, its specific observations from TRE.
  2. Hi everyone, I've recently returned to the game having not really played a lot of PVP since patch 1.2. I started playing in BETA and was on Luka Sene server before the merge. Now on Red Eclipse. I remember PVP being ok on release, if not a little buggy (capping doors from inside them), but once everyone started to gear up it was apparent that healers were overpowered. I was a commando healer myself, one of the best geared on the server having done a lot of pre-mades and farmed Ilum in open world huge battles. Once i was full BIS it took 4 DPS to kill me, and if i had guard i was pretty much unkillable providing i managed my ammo. Patch 1.2 and the weeks following changed all that when healers took a huge hit to the point were it was barley viable to take one to a pre made. I was gutted as i was forced to re-gear to dps but i understand why they did it. Having returned to PVP im astonished to find that healers are back to not far off where they were. I've easily played in excess of 200 games since coming back and i cant believe they have not fixed basic issues. Specifically sorc/sage healers are simply broken. To be able to heal that much that quickly is just game breaking. I have two characters fully Exemplar geared, one being a sage. Healing with it is simply god mode. On my dps Char i was bashing away with another player on a Sorc healer. We had no chance of killing him, even when we used our interrupts and stuns he would simply wait until they where off CD, stun one of us, 3 spells later he went from 7% health to 100% health and it would all start again. When we got him to low health out pop god bubble. There seems to be even more stuns in the game than before, but equally more ways to break them. Many a time the other team has had 2/3 healers and their total deaths on their team was under 10 at the end of the match. Total waste of time and very boring. Trying to kill them is like punching smoke or hitting a training dummy. As for Republic side PVP on Red Eclipse. What a total mess. I understand there is a PVE quest that is causing people to Q in the wrong gear but its not uncommon to see people with no colour crystals and some even had gear missing such as no relics. I mean come on ***. Yesterday in preparation for this post i played some warzones and this is what happened. 1) Voidstar V Imp = Lost 2) Arena v Imp = Lost 3) Civil war v Imp = Lost 4) NC v Imp = Won (6 of the 8 Reps actually had full pvp gear, i nearly fainted) 5) NC v Imp = Lost 6) Arena v Imp = Lost 7) Arena v Imp = Lost (including a GS whole was alive for ages doing 56,000 total dmg) 8) CW v Imp = Lost 9) Arena v Imp = Lost 10) CW v Imp = Lost 11) HG v Imp = Lost 12) Arena v Imp = Lost 12) CW v Imp = Lost Now i know some will say "its you your rubbish" but thats simply not true. Im always competitive in damage/healing and very often Im top 2 of objectives for my team. Simply put the Imps farm us, game after game. Doing Random WZ is completely demoralizing. Ive not seen that many pre-mades either so it appears to be random Imps to. They always have at least 1 healer, normally 2/3. Lucky if Reps have 1. Im so gutted as a loved PVP but what im experiencing is really getting me down. Ive tried advertising for a PVP guild but had no replys and im not sure if any other servers are better, i would be up for suggestions.

    Mercenary - Heal

    I play your mirror class and Its all about how you play, every class in the game dies if focused on eventually. You need to use things like line of site using pillars and platforms to avoid you being a target. Pop out of your hiding pop heals and run back. If your just standing their chain casting you WILL get targeted very quickly and get taken down. Im full pvp geared champion/centurian now and can survive 1 BM for about 30 seconds, or depending on gear 2-3 lesser geared players hitting me for a long time. At the end of the day without BM gear your going down if you get singled out its just a matter of time but thats the same for everyone. You cant expect to be invinsible matey, otherwise nobody would ever die. Its bad enough as it is, today we had a voidstar with 4-5 healers a team. Hardly anybody died and no bombs planted
  4. Yes i have this happen to me, a certain Sith Assasin on Luka Sene hunts me down every single WZ im in and wont leave me alone until im dead. When i spawn and he see's me and he does it again. I personally find it very annoying, but he is not doing anything wrong so i have to learn to counter it. My gears decent so it takes him a while to kill me and if im q'ing with mates they destroy him. Im a healer so most likely he targeted me after seeing me top of the healing in multiple WZ's and thought he would take me out the game but i know its gone beyond that. Give in a couple of weeks and ill be battlemaster. Takes him 1-2 mins to kill me each time now GL when im geared more, mwwwhahaha
  5. Could not agree more, i have this problem 90% of the time during the afternoon hours 10am-4pm on my server. We normally start matches with 4 people, by the time the other 4 join we are steam rolled and its impossible to win. Its very very annoying. Every single time this happens the new people simply drop out ending the game early and the cycle repeats. Needs a fix asap
  6. Hey all, Just thought i would post my thoughts on pvp to see what you guys think. I come from a 7 year 350 days played wow background. 99.9% raids with the odd battleground and a little arena season 3 pvp. Im certainly not young ^^ and ive no axe to grind whatsoever. I dinged 50 on my combat medic commando valor rank 2 and im currently valor rank 35. Here are my observations 1) PVP as a new 50 - With the bag changes its not hard fairly quickly get some gear but at first its painfull. Coming up against BM Empire hurt like hell. Many times i was 3 shotted with 4.5-8.8k crits. After 1 week and 22 bags im full cent pvp gear except my main hand and the difference is noticeable now. I can actually feel like im making a difference without insta dying. 2) Gear - From my experience and imo any end game part of a mmo that relies on RNG is going to cause nothing but trouble. The people who RNG favours say its fair, those who is does not QQ. Why oh why developers keep putting RNG into these games ill never know. There should be a 3 tier bag system with each on unlocking at certain valor ranks 10-35-60 maybe. With each tier bag dropping cent-champ-BM badges you save for gear. Simple as u like and totally fair for everyone. Having to play the RNG game for your BM gear is unacceptable. 3) Maps - Love voidstar and cival war. perfectly sized (wow take note of stupidly big BG's you travel across only to get ganked) Voidstar is my fav atm. Love the objectives and the close quarters combat is awesome. Hutball however, hmmm. I like the idea and have had some brilliant games on it. What i would say is 3-4 unskilled or under geared players can massively effect the outcome of the game. 4) Skill required to win- Sometimes! Without any arena most of the time from my experience pure numbers at certain areas of the map make the difference. Occasionally you may get a 1v1 or 1v2 situation where you can really shine but with the small maps ive not found this to be to common. Im in a pvp guild and we have some very good players. Sometimes we get to hold a base on cival war. 4 of us killed 7 very well geared empire tonight to hold a base which won us the match. That felt good and the skype chat made the difference but its rare something like that happens. 5) Valor and Medals - Valor system ive no problem with. The medals i think are unfair. In our guild pre-mades party q'ing we have 2 healers and 2 sentinels as dps. We pretty much pocket heal them as well as ops group ofc and they run riot, One of them got 13 medals in cival war tonight though the like of healing, protection and ofc damage, me as his healer 5. I dont mind just healing but feel im seriously gimped doing so and often find myself aoe'ing and stim bursting for the dps medals. Should i need to do that hmm i dunno. 6) World pvp - Nice idea but flawed from the start. Not going to go into the same stuff over again but what i would say is when its 50 v 50 on weekends its amazing fun if you can move more then 1 inch due to latency. Things i would like to see improved * No RNG in gearing * More WZ's but keep them the same size * Allow group q'ing without removing ppl from group and ops q'ing also * Make world pvp fair and viable Other then that i believe the pvp in this game is superb from a casuals point of view. Im really enjoying it and im looking forward to what coming in future patches
