  1. Is there a technical reason why 5.7 is taking forever to install? After 6 hours yesterday I managed to get to 80% installed but the rate was down to 512k or 1024 at best. Trying to continue this morning and am at 1024/512 again. I have fibre internet, the game was fully up to date before patching, and whilst on occasion some SWTOR installs have been randomly slower before, I have never had this issue. The launcher has the ST letters on left hand side which I believe denotes the streaming version of launcher. Any ideas?
  2. Guildy and I got dropped from Yavin 4 to character select screen also last night. One second was in WZ, the next back at character select. Only happened once, managed 2 x Yavin WZ without issue before.
  3. Happening a lot in wz since patch, die and respawn and then unable to go invis as it's deemed I am still in combat even after death. Can take quite a while to reset also. Running hatred assassin but believe other stealth classes are seeing same - death should be an effective means of clearing combat tbh.
  4. Am getting the same on my hatred assassin in almost every wz now since 5.6. Yeah, it feels like ages before you drop out of combat, you would think that death is a pretty effective way to end combat..........
  5. Happened to us on Red Eclipse also 2 days ago. One by one characters being kicked from ship when they exit warzones and no longer able to access to guils ship travel option also. GL was also kicked last night after leaving a wz and cannot return - how do BW fix this in short term?
  6. Just wondering if this is working as intended. Was in a PVE instance in Outlaws Den, which is a group PVP area but was unable to fight other people there. Is the area working as designed or should a pvp area within a pve instance allow pvp? I assumed I would be able to fight still and this is just a BW oversight, but maybe I missed some info on this?
  7. Couldn't work out a way to invite someone with a space in their character name into guild yesterday. Typing /ginvite and then the new format names don't appear to work. Tried using the space and without using space etc and nothing worked. I'm assuming someone forgot to add this when the name format changed but if anyone has found a way please post here!
  8. Universal prefab mk-3 are no longer searchable/appear either. They are on me sale list but cannot find them for sale via search on gtn.
  9. Please also update/create titles for achievements/milestones such as number of kills/mvp etc. Total/wins/mvp/players killed etc. These are simple changes (valor hasnt moved from 100 since launch btw). why does 1000 wz wins not give you a neat title for example - simple rewards for frequent wz players.
  10. Hah, if only BW could find a way of releasing new PVP warzones via Cartel Market - then there would be no issue releasing new content.
  11. Question on PVP. Does equipping a shield actually work in PVP? Is it worth removing the mods from brutaliser focus piece and slotting them in a shield? Is there any marginal benefit at all? Should add that this is for dps builds..
  12. I was the OP, and I haven't made this mistake as I'm careful that I don't accidently spend 1.8m on basic mats. I buy and sell a lot of mats and have seen this pricing so many times now I thought I would flag for discussion. I have had to pause and double check the pricing to ensure I am not making the mistake. I don't mind people charging what they want for an item, what I wanted to flag was that there are a number of people who are deliberately pricing their items so that they may appear to be the lowest priced item of that type on the list when you sort, but in fact due to the way the pricing is structured they are actually 1,800,007 (per mat, or similar pricing structure whereas the next lowest price is 1900 or 2000)- so that they appear on an initial price sort as the lowest priced item when in fact they are costing millions. Take a look at the GTN on your servers and I guess you will see the same. A quick way to make a few million I guess for some people. If someone falls for this then fair enough if people believe this is fine, but setting the price of a basic mat to appear low when in fact it is intended to get you to accidently click and buy and spend a few million credits is to my mind a deliberate opportunist act. Some good advice about setting the min/max values for trades and I will also now consider transferring bulk of my cash to an alt that I dont use to buy and sell so that I do not by accident spend 5m on 3 basic mats. I can see someone else doing it and it doesn't seem reasonable behaviour to me, but thats up to BW to decide I guess.
  13. Maybe scam is the wrong word, opportunist is probably more apt. I haven't fallen foul of this practice but can see a point where someone would accidently click on an item thinking it was the lowest price and suddenly find their entire bank balance had gone. Sorting the sort might make it clearer or providing some short term cancellation of a trade ie 30 seconds. I would notice if 5m came out of my balance rather than the 5k i thought. The problem only really arises when you are in a hurry and trying to buy up mats as cheap as possible - but its a pretty horrid mistake to happen if your entire savings go awol!
  14. I've seen lots of items being sold where the pricing format is intended to deceive the purchaser i.e nanosilk being sold for 1,800,007 per item. It's purely being sold like this to catch people out who click the unit price to list in low price order and do not double check that they are looking at a list in low price order. I know everyone should double check but a lot of purchases are done in haste and the guys selling nano silk was charging over 5m for 3 pieces and this is done, and the format is done, purely in a manner to deceive someone into accidently paying stupid money for an item. If someone does make a purchase in error, is there any comeback? Doesnt feel right to be scamming people in this way, particularly as there isnt anywhere to safely stash your cash - ie you could pay your entire cash stack in error!
  15. Scrap ranked all together. Create reward based system around normals, must be a bucket load of stats they have and could use. The only viable pvp content on a number of servers is normal wz. Anyone can play normals and people generally can get a few games in with at least some wins (compared to ranked/issues discussed with ranked). Harder to fix results of normals as having a viable pvp population creates some element of random opposition. If they did something around rewards/ranking in normal then they might be able to build wz teams on setup around those general rankings also as they should in theory have a bigger pot of players. Ranked on the red eclipse spiked for maybe 48hrs, don't bother queuing anymore as there isn't any info on whether anyone else is actually in same queue and that you stupidly have to wait in this limbo status indefinitely when you could at least get some normal wz pops. Kill ranked, focus on normals.
