  1. *poster complains* *still subs* If you don't like it, then leave. No one is forcing you stay. Personally, I really enjoy it. I only have the 8 classes, and yeah replayability can get annoying at times with the stream-lined stories, but I don't sub continuously. Maybe 4 months out of the year. Keeps it fresh.
  2. Where is the best place to buy some level 60 gear with the common data crystals? I know there is a level 60 mods guy, but they are only green tiered.
  3. Soooooooo you are all unsubbing because you can't play it for 7 days? Sure, Early Access is cool, but you still get to play it as a Sub next Tuesday...big deal.
  4. One thing that keeps bothering me when I see the trailers is I fear the Rebels are still the Rebels and the Jedi are still in Exile. If they are, it just doesn't mesh with the ending of Return of the Jedi.
  5. I agree with everyone else. Revan is not the mastermind behind this all. Even after his memories are restored in the novel, his sole purpose is to stop the Emperor so Bastila and his son, his son's children, and the Republic as a whole would be saved. And he even knew he could not last in a battle of wills with the Emperor, but he would fight for as long as he could to make sure his family and the Republic was safe.
  6. I can see this friendly banter is going to get us nowhere. You have your opinion, and I have mine, and let's just leave it at that =)
  7. We do not know all the ins and outs of what happened over the 300 years Revan was captured. We do know Revan influenced the Emperor since the Treaty of Coruscant occurred. However, we are not told the Emperor never did or couldn't influence Revan. He dominated Revan's mind once before when he first visited Dromund Kaas. Why could he do so easily then, and all of a sudden not be able to? Sorry, but that makes little sense Kinda hard to misinterpret that The following is taken from page 4 of Revan by Drew Karpyshyn: "Revan: Jedi; hero; traitor; conqueror; villian; savior" Bastila says on the following page: "You are not the same man you were. The Revan I know is a hero. A champion of the light." I am not just pulling these thoughts about Revan being a hero out of mid-air. Yes he was all of the above, but he was a hero as well. Before leaving, Bastila argues with him that he doesn't have to go to the Unknown Regions to look for what may be there. She says the problem may not even surface until they are old and gray. The following is found on page 78: "It was tempting to give in. It would be easy to pretend nothing was wrong and just live in blissful ignorance like trillions of other beings in the galaxy. There was only one problem with her argument. 'I am not doing this for the Republic,' he explained. 'I'm not doing it for you. I'm not even doing it for me. I'm doing it for our child. And our child's children. We might never live to see the horrors that are coming, but they will.' He tightened his arm around her. 'We have to protect the Republic for them. We have to risk our chance at happiness so they can have a life we might never know.'" I don't know about you...but that sounds fairly heroic
  8. I can be in denial And yes I have run the Foundry. I believe he could have been already under the influence of the Emperor then. Revan was a hero in the sense he saved the galaxy from Malak. He doesn't look at himself as a hero, but that is what he was labelled. I am not saying everything he has ever done is right, but the whole idea of killing the entire galaxy does not fit with the ideals of Revan.
  9. I am sure this question is plaguing a lot of us. We don't want to think the hero of the Republic from KOTOR could fall to such lengths, but is it possible he has? Revan was never fully accepted by the Jedi Order after the events of KOTOR, and he knows both sides of the force to the point that they are in balance inside of him. My theory: It is Revan, but it isn't at the same time. The reason Scourge turns against the Emperor in the "Revan" book is because he knows the Emperor wants to kill every single being in the Universe and use their life force to make him live forever. He even goes on to say that there are more galaxies out there that he can go to and steal their life energies as well. And when the Universe is completely dry of life, he will simply wait for life to start over again. The complete destruction of the galaxy sounds nothing like Revan, but it sounds everything like the Emperor. And the Emperor knows how to use "essence transfer" as he is able to do so with the Emperor's Voice. Perhaps he took things a little further and transferred his full essence into Revan's body. As well, the Emperor sent spies to Yavin IV to get rid of the tomb of Naga Sadow...So there is a connection here to some extent. My friend pointed out something as well. This is called "Shadow of Revan"....Is he a Shadow of his former self and he has fallen completely to the dark side? Or could it mean this being is not really Revan, but a shadow imitation of him.
  10. I pray you are right, my friend... Revan has always been my favorite. Loved him in KOTOR, loved him in the book, and even enjoyed him in TOR. But I agree that this cannot be the Revan we know and love. The Emperor has to be influencing him somehow. The reason Scourge turns against the Emperor in the book is because he knows the Emperor wants to kill every single being in the Universe and use their life force to make him live forever. He even goes on to say that there are more galaxies out there that he can go to and steal their life energies as well. And when the Universe is completely dry of life, he will simply wait for life to start over again. The more and more I think about it, the more I believe Revan is being deceived and twisted by the Emperor. It would allow for Revan's redemption to make sense.
  11. Yeah, I couldn't remember if they actually confirmed it....so I said hinted at it. Thank you for confirming =)
  12. I completely agree. On my knight, I keep getting mail about Satele feeling a disturbance in the force. She may have been referring to Revan, or the fact the Emperor is still alive. On my warrior, Thing 1 and Thing 2 (my nickname for Servant 1 and Servant 2) keep sending me mail hinting at the emperor still being alive. So there is much we don't know.
  13. I am going to go out on a limb here and assume that not many, if anyone, posting in this has even read the Revan novel. If you had then a lot of the comments and questions here would have been answered in some shape or form. Revan didn't "die" at the Foundry. That has never been the plan from Bioware. As for the OP's sentiments about Revan possibly resurrecting and it taking away from the credit of the story...remember the Emperor has been alive and well for 1000 years. The Force can do whatever the heck it wants The Jedi Council not listening to him is not a new thing. The book tells us how Revan wasn't accepted by the Jedi Council back after KOTOR. Even though he was redeemed, he was still Revan, the one who brought death to the Republic. This Jedi Council would probably share the same sentiments. As for Revan "leading the charge", as a Jedi yes. As a Sith, he was on his fleet when mass shadow generators went off on Malachor V. So we see the difference there. As for this circumstance, I don't see him hiding and letting his lackey's do all the work. He has been hiding in the shadows, biding his time, and waiting for the time to strike. Obviously Revan is not going to lead a strike against Tython and Korriban in person. He can't be in two places at once, and he doesn't need to be. He is playing it smart, and using his strategic mind that is apart of who he is. The war technically did not begin until he revealed himself. I believe we will see him leading the charge once again. I honestly think this is heading in a possible two directions: 1. This isn't really Revan. Someone is just using the Revanites to further their plans. 2. It is Revan, and he is doing what he believes is best to defeat the Empire and rebuild the Republic. I am excited to see what will happen. Revan is my favorite EU character. What I really want to see is Revan, Satele and Theron have some interaction since they are his descendants.
  14. I find it funny how the same guy (Lucas) who think Coruscant and Korriban are too similiar, has no issue having two planets named Tatooine and Dantooine in Episode 4...
  15. To me it adds to the mystery of it all...one I believe will be explained in time. Theron and Lana both say at the end of Part 1 they are going to be looking into all that had transpired. It is only logical that they met each other during that time. Maybe a book or a comic series will come out and explain it. Kinda hard to do so in detail in conversations. As well, Forged Alliance Storyline is leading to the next huge expansion (bigger than Makeb)...and (SPOILERS) the next flashpoint is going to deal with Rakata Prime. I am very interested to see where this is heading, and how it will be the next big storyline.
  16. My friend and I have been talking, and we would love to see a switch of events. I am sure we are not the only ones. Sure, we enjoy the BBA, but why have it every month? Gets boring and repetitive after a while. Why not switch it up and have the Gree event one month, BBA the next and so forth. If they wanted, they could bring back some of the old events and have a a four month cycle, or something similar. What do you think?
  17. Just wondering if anyone has any Sith characters who need to complete these heroics in the Jedi Covenant server? My friend and I are looking to do them, but can't find anyone on the fleet or planets to go. Thanks!
  18. I wish! But no I didn't. I saw it on FB a couple days ago
  19. A great to both franchises. Enjoy =) Not sure if this was the right place for this, but I hope you all love it!
  20. Thank you very much. I will keep this all in mind in making my decision =).
  21. I sort of understand what the op is saying. I find on the lower planets and the higher planets it is hard to get a group together to do some heroics. There are still some heroics I have never touched on Corellia because no one seems to want to do them, or they already have.
  22. Hey guys, I am looking for some adaptive armor for my female bounty hunter. Or at least some good, slim looking armor that can be found around level 15. I would love something that looks like Shae Vizla's from the trailers. Any ideas? Oh and before some guys try to pick me up because I used the term "female", I am a guy who just plays female toons at times to switch things up.
