  1. Euro, I got your message. I could potentially respec and switch gear and dps the HE fight and would be ok with doing so. I think my dps gear is full 180's or better and augmented. However my value decreases as a dps mainly due to the fact that I have no self cleanse and that the gear is slightly weaker. However if thats the route we have to go I'm good with it.
  2. Also....although I have always adamantly defended the records thread against a reset; with the upcoming patch of 3.0 and the many changes that goes along with that I have decided to archive the existing thread and start a new one from 3.0 forward. This is mainly due to the fundamental change to all classes from the discipline system. I think that change in particular is a system wide fundamental change, which although we could technically continue with the current thread, it just seems more fair to start fresh since its such a huge change to all classes in the game. The current plan is to archive the thread on 3.0's release so the old thread will still be available to view but no new records will be considered for that thread after release date. All records after that date will go on to the new and shiny 3.0 thread. The only records that will carry over are the lifetime records a. because they are lifetime records and b. there is no way to separate the statistics between pre and post 3.0. If anyone has any thoughts on this please feel free to post here.
  3. Correct. Still have the #2 record for overall damage. Rule is only one record per player (not toon) per category. Welcome back yooni. Same as above Cates. Just letting you know. This is correct. In an effort to be as fair/balanced as possible since all other records are for an entire match. All records have been updated. P.S. You can all thank Seraphyne for keeping after me to update the thread.
  4. Would love to get in on this if possible. Raid Days: Wed/Thu 1130 pm-230 am EST Dread Guard Mask: Yes Dreadful Amulet: No Dreadful Orb: No Dread Master Crest: No Title: No
  5. Yuuzhan will never die. He just sleeps..... for extremely long periods............at random. Sorry for the delay in updating the thread. IRL extremely busy last couple weeks. Will do my best to update this Monday. Thanks for your patience and support.....except those that want to kill me off prematurely.
  6. Next update will occur tomorrow evening, Fri 8/29. Future updates from this point forward will occur on Thu/Fri each week. Thanks.
  7. If the thread is archived it wouldn't happen until at least 3.0 that was never part of the discussion. However I see what you are trying to say. The problem is even by your definition what is defined as a major buff/nerf is still quite subjective. To use your example even with the merc heals buff very few of the existing records were established after the buff. Most of the records for merc heals in every category are STILL old records that were established pre-buff. Still what one person considers major or minor is going to be different than another persons perspective. If someone has the time and thinks that the records would be better served by being converted to a google doc than by all means go for it. You have my blessing. It works well for the dps thread but I think thats partly because its a little simpler and the data doesn't change as much as often but thats my opinion. Opening the editing to several ppl would help to alleviate the burden of one person doing all the work but as anyone that has worked on something using google docs or a similar application knows it also introduces its own share of problems. Everything has its pros and cons. Regardless I took this on for the community because a lot of ppl missed it when it was offline for a bit. I designed it this way for the simplicity, for my own purposes in updating and for the users. If you would like to see that changed over to a google doc then you are welcome to take that on but I don't think I'm going to have the time to be a part of that process so I would probably just shut this thread down. I would however try to support that in any way that I could. This is a good point. Anyone is welcome to create a separate thread if they so choose. Although this thread has sort of been the unofficial "official" records thread for a long time now I have no issues with someone creating something else. Depending on what that entails the threads could either run simultaneously or I could shut this one down.
  8. Even with 3.0 I haven't seen anything stating that would make a persons spec more easily identifiable across the board via screenshot. Without a change like that made I just don't have the time to sift through each ss looking for key abilities on each persons bar. Archiving the thread is a completely different issue and something that I am currently considering but have not decided either way on yet. A few members of the PvP community on JC have expressed that they would like the thread to be archived. Therefore I am thinking about it. However I believe that those few represent the vast minority of the PvP communtiy at large and imo (as I expressed before) most of those ppl but not all have that view primarily because their interests are mostly self serving. The thread has been a running list since its inception way back before November of 2012. Multiple class changes, buffs, nerfs, glitches, errors etc... have been changed during that time, none of which required an archiving of the list. Therefore I don't really feel that 3.0 or any other patch should change the way the list is. That would be a fundamental change in what we have done up to this point and also opens the door for anyone to argue that the list should be archived for every little change or patch, which ppl have done multiple times for a variety of different reasons before. That being said I am considering it.
  9. This is correct. Sorry Akiva. Love I need a screenshot please. Ty. They are ranked by total contribution Perky. This is actually a fantastic idea and I thought about attempting that originally. Unfortunately right now there is no way to easily identify specs across the board through a screenshot. If the ss is good and shows all of the ability bars technically you could just look for abilities that are specific to that spec. However because not all ss are created equally and everyone has a customized ui this would be an extremely boring and time consuming process neither of which am I interested in subjecting myself to. Lazy?...yes. Self-serving even?.....maybe, but can you really blame me? I just don't have the time for that sorry. If bioware makes changes and makes each spec easier to identify somehow than I will probably make that change until then that idea is shelved. Sorry. All records have been updated.
  10. Wow you guys have been busy. Lol. Will be updating the thread probably tomorrow. In regards to the petition of resetting records because "they are no longer valid": We have discussed this before and as always I won't be resetting ANYONE'S record. The game changes constantly and classes are tuned and rebalanced in patches however that doesn't make anyones record invalid. I make that decision for a variety of reasons but primarily for these: 1. If the record was established on Jedi Covenant it is valid regardless of WHEN it was established. The game has changed significantly since launch and due to class changes, glitches, errors (i.e. bolster bug) etc.. if I reset the records every time something changed then there would be no point in keeping records. 2. Arguing that a class change, in this case pre-nerf smash, makes a record invalid would essentially be the same thing as arguing that any NFL great's record should be reset and declared invalid due to the numerous rule changes, steroids, and changes in recruitment /training and in general how the game has changed over the years. 3. Imho I think that everyone falls on one side of this issue or the other. Normally the people that bring this up are people that would like to get their name on the list and on the other side the people that are on the list do not want to see their records that they accomplished wiped away. I try to be as fair and impartial as I can be as custodian of the records and for that reason model the records policies after other similar endeavors such as sports records and the like. That is one of the reasons why there are 5 spots for every category rather than just 1 so it allows more ppl to get on the list and for ppl to see the top 5 players in a given category and also to encourage competition among players. 4. I know this is slightly selfish and self serving but updating the thread regularly already takes a lot of time and effort and the time it would take to continually reset and update the thread every time something changed is time I simply do not have. I hope this answers any questions to this issue sufficiently. Thanks for posting.
  11. So to try and answer your question...yes there are some late night pve ppl on this server. My group runs 1130-230 am EST. (When you say pve I'm assuming you are talking about raids because solo content and fps are not something you need a guild for.) That being said the population is always at its lowest at night/early am because most ppl work reg hours. I work a similar shift to you so I understand the circumstances but unfortunately every server on every game is going to be affected the same way. the only real way for you to know is to play and see what the population is like for yourself. Also for future reference the vast majority of players don't use the forums at all let alone look at them regularly in any game. so posting something and expecting an answer within 5 hours is slightly unrealistic. Good luck though I hope you find a guild that suits you.
  12. Unfortunately I will not be able to update this week. Please continue to post as normal and I will update on Aug 2 or 3. Ty. All records have been updated.
  13. Unfortunately can't make it that week but would def be down anytime if you guys decide to do it again. Would really like to see this done imp side tho.
  14. Sorry for the delay in updating the thread. Last few weeks have been crazy busy, should be back to regularly updating. Caroth, as Cin pointed out this solo ranked rating is from Pot5 so unfortunately I can't accept it as a JC record because it was not established here. As far as your lifetime records if that toon is on JC I can accept it but I need a better screen shot that shows me the name of the toon and class. Ty. All records have been updated.
  15. K. Lol. Like.....really? 1 Paragraph = tl;dr now? How bout this #notintendedaudience. or for the uneducated or extremely lazy heres the tl;dr version: #0F*CKSGIVEN
  16. Love you are a great player and I would hate to dismiss anyone's personal record but this match...omg. First of all most of if not all of the players in this match are PM and friends and it looks like 2 premades with one with 3 healers. Second your hps was over 1000+ hps over the #1 record of any other healer on server regardless of class across wz's and arenas. Those two things alone, among other things, make it appear that this was a game where you guys just farmed numbers. While there really isn't anything wrong with that, for the purposes of this thread that's a no go. While this thread is really just for fun and I maintain it for the community because a lot of ppl enjoy having it here I do have some ground rules in order to have some semblance of equality and legitimacy. I sincerely apologize if that is an incorrect assumption but I really can't accept this record submission in good faith simply because it is so suspect. Sorry again. All records have been updated.
