  1. Of all the things I find contemptible about this game, Huttball isn't one of them. Balance and playability of the individual classes aside, this concept for a battle ground is solid. The only way to make it even better is to make the surroundings a neutral faction zone that featured a healthy dosage of unhealthy libations. And dancers. And a band. With cowbell. this will be my only supportive post of SWTOR today. hope it helps.
  2. What does it really matter what you choose as all the characters are identical? Isn't every trooper the leader of Havok squad? joke city. Send in the clones......
  3. This is absolutely true. You never have a very firm feel of where your character is in the game world, or of where he may be headed.
  4. I've played trooper and its not much of a story as it is a running gag. Or maybe it's just trying to play light side. The options given are ludicrous and are more akin to hypothetical psych test questions than something a designer would include for playability. In short its a joke folks. If you don't think so here's a common trooper choice. You can choose certain death for the NPC or you can give them all your credits and allow them to evade all responsibility. How is that a common choice? How does that just KEEP RECURRING? So I'm sure there's a story buried under all the idiocy. Good luck with that.
  5. Of course you are. We're all being punished. You can be a light side character of dubious mental strength or you can be a dark side character of dubious mental strength. These are caricatures not characters. Its a parody and not an enjoyable one. I made it to level 24 as a trooper and just abandoned it. It will now run slicing missions and no more. Why? Cant take the moronic interactions with my current companion. Some imperial traitor. Somehow it is supposed to be compelling game play to take orders from a mouthy self righteous subordinate, whilst my character plays the fool and the lapdog. Mad props to whoever got this past beta.
  6. Just don't do it. The game is set up to punish you if you do. So if you're new, and you are intending to play with a real friend, be sure to run different classes or you will be doing all the class quests twice.
  7. I'm not even sure what this means. Is there some sort of risk in any of the crew skills? There is a failure rate in slicing, so you can lose the credits for the mission but don't all the crew skill missions have a chance of failure? So they all share the same risk? I'm just not sure what you are getting at. If you scavenge do you actually have to go out there and root around in your backyard or something? So there's some effort and possibly "risk" that you may be seen? Is there a "non mission risk" in some other crew skill? Like if you take diplomacy does everyone just know that you're fundamentally held back even if you never actually do a mission? So clarify yourself. What is a zero effort crew skill? What crew skills entail risk and what are those risks? Quantify 'return'. Is slicing unique in offering unique rewards, or do other skills also offer unique rewards?
