Another idea I just came up with is they could tie it into the current Color Matching System. The way I see this working would be like this: You can only apply dyes to Chest Armor, but doing so would also affect any armor piece currently linked to that Chest Armor. It'd make it more user friendly, and tie in with the system they already have in place, so I think it might work. Anyone else have any opinions on this idea? :cool:

Well, his Thread Question was unreasonably vague. And Purple could refer to a quality of schematic instead of a color of Lightsaber Crystal--although he would be a total baka if he was referring to schematic quality.

Are you referring to Purple-Quality Schematics, or Purple Crystal Schematics?

Haven't tried that particular gear yet--The armor I'm using on Doc is stuff you can use at Level 40--My Sentinel is wearing smilar-level armor until I can get the Legacy Level 20 gear.

There is another option. I don't know if many people know this, but you can equip PvP Armor to your companions. For example, I'm a Jedi Sentinel, and my preferred Companion is Doc, because his healing abilities really extend my survivability. And since I don't really go for Companion Armor as Quest Rewards, what I did was I equipped him with Smuggler PvP gear. So, if you like the look of a PvP Helmet better than the standard Companion Helmets, you can always just do what I did.

I hold a different view on this to most people. My view is that your Crew Skills should not be limited to what works best for the class, but you should also take your character's personality, background, and Companion Characters into account. Granted, this approach probably works best if you're an RPer or Storyteller in some form, and come up with a unique backstory and personality for your character. But it does work--if your character is interested in medicine, take Bioanalysis and Biochem. A history buff, take Archaeology. Seeking fame and fortune? Take Treasure Hunting. Good with computers, or have a droid who is? Take Slicing. And the list goes on.

I knew I wouldn't be able to wear it for a while, but I wanted to make sure I had a full set ready to go ahead of time. However, it seems you can't buy it in the first place until you reach that Legacy Level, as well, and that's what was aggravating me. As for why I was going for Legacy Level 20 Armor instead of Legacy Level 10 Armor, well, I like the look of the Legacy Level 20 Sentinel Armor better than the Legacy Level 10 Sentinel Armor. I hope that explains my issue.

Well, I got one of those boxes, but my Artificer is a Level 46, and I can't open it until I reach Level 50. And, on top of that, I gathered enough cash to buy a piece of Legacy Armor, but it seems that I can't buy it until I reach the Legacy Level needed to wear it (I'm Legacy Level 8, and the armor in question needs Legacy Level 20). I know that vendor, and I know of three boxes from him. The green-rarity box costs less than the blue-rarity box, and that costs less than the purple-rarity box. So, again, which rarity level box do I need?

Do the rumors mention what rarity of Fleet Comm Box you need? Purple? Blue? Green?

Yes. That vendor should be returned to the game for a short period of time, so that those of us who want Purple PVE Crystals can get them. Either that, or they should allow us to get Purple PvE Crystal Schematics from a vendor.

I hear ya, and feel the same way. Bioware, if you're listening, please up the commonality of Purple Crystal Recipes, or perhaps give us back the pre-1.2 Vendor for a week. It would really help those of us who want Purple Crystals.

Disappeared with Update 1.2. I should have bought a couple of those crystals while I had the chance. Well, here's hoping that I can find the Artifice Crafting Schematic for the +Crit Purple Crystals.

Kyril (my Merc) is actually my sixth (and latest) character. My Main is a Sentinel with Artifice, Slicing, and Treasure Hunting. I also have a Sage with Archaeology, Bioanalysis, and Biochem, a Guardian with Synthweaving, Archaeology, and Underworld Trading, an Inquisitor with Artifice, Archaeology, and Treasure Hunting, and an Agent with Cybertech, Scavenging, and either Underworld Trading or Slicing (I can't recall which off the top of my head).

What vendor sells these Fleet Commendation Boxes, and where can I find this vendor?

Okay, I have a bit of a conundrum. I recently created a Bounty Hunter Character, and just made him a Mercenary. I went for Armstech for his Crafting skill, with Scavenging and Investigation as the gathering/mission skills. However, I'm wondering whether Armormech would work better for me. I should also mention I plan on pursuing a romance with Mako, and plan to use her exclusively in the field. Not sure if that affects things in any way, but I felt I should get it out there. I look forward to hearing what everyone thinks about this. :cool:

I don't know if this is unneccessary "fluff" or beneficial, but I'd like to be able to do this, too. Perhaps make the dyes something we can purchase and apply ourselves, like in Guild Wars. :cool:
