  1. Unfortunately this was discussed a long time ago...applications like PunkBuster are null, and void due to the fact that the "Hero Engine" creates a base, but substantial amount of lag to begin with. PunkBuster in other games (IE Counterstrike, etc) monitors the client/server relationship. a certain amount of lag is assumed due to the range of connection speeds 'round the world from ISP's but if that latency exceeds a certain level, the client will be kicked from the game/server/match. That's one of the great things about PunkBuster-no lag switches. Also, since PVP is not hosted client side in SWTOR....nor is it in most any game these days, the use of a lag switch would only effect the connection of the person using it. They will "ghost" and it will be hard to track them, and even kill them most likely, but a lagswitch can not effect any other player's connection on either team due to the fact that the match, or instance is hosted on a server that everyone is independently connected to. Lag switches were a plague back in the original counter strike days, and even older FPS' like Jedi Knight, Quake etc...but not since the advance to hosting games on servers and not on the client's connection. If they are ever able to make the Hero Engine cooperate with DX 11, something like PunkBuster could certainly be implemented to monitor for things like lag switches or a modified client, but not now, and most likely not for a long time considering how "heavy" the engine actually is. Moral of the story? If you are facing me and I use a lag switch, or "Net Limiter" as it is actually called, your connection to the server will not change, only mine, making it difficult to target, and actually keep dps on me since I will ghost all over.
  2. Getting knocked back after the door blows...several times I have found myself stuck inside of the blown apart doorway, and sorc pulls don't work, and neither does /stuck. not really an exploit of sorts, but definitely something that has happened to me recently, and months ago. Funny how I can't /stuck when I'm actually stuck, but it can be abused to insta-respawn while defending a point. hmmm.
  3. no seriously there really is only a few seconds of time (assuming you're killed) where marcus DOESN'T say get Starmarc off of me lol. It's pretty funny actually...sometimes he shortens it to "hes back" and I usually have to turn around and find where marcus is sprinting off to hahaha. Plus if you're beating on marcus, I'm not getting heals lmao and that's a damn problem;)
  4. I would hope not...I created that guild a week ago and if it stepped to the plate immediately being a contender, I think many an eyebrow would be raised lol. I was in Outlaws Den doing some things during the first coupld weeks of the Drooga's switch when some of you guys were talking about creating We Haz Cookies. That was how many months ago? None of the competitive guilds became what they are over night, nor did the players that reside within those guilds. Not once in this thread did I say **** everyone bros for the win, but I will defend the players that are in my guild, especially those that have never uttered a negative word to another player, IE sko. I always say gg, and I always give credit where credit is due.
  5. Since insanus is here, im sure he will confirm that it was a 200 up in favor of Disconnect BEFORE nezlok DC'd. the game was won long before the "we lost someone" qqing started. and again, just testament to a team, win or lose, giving their praise to the other side, and as usual, the other team not saying ****. it was a good game, which is why members of Disconnect said "good game." I remember clearly being 200 up before the DC, but im sure the other side will remember it differently as usual. EDIT and not that it matters, but I clearly remember someone in vent saying "Make sure you say GG because we all know Cookies won't"
  6. You certainly focus Marcusdarkstar and I as well I always have to drop everything in a WZ because marcus is in TS like "dude can you PLEASE get starmarc off me" lmao
  7. Oh and i think that the point of all of this was missed when Psi decided to talk **** about a week old guild that yes, did in fact, beat some better put together teams, and honestly as far as I have been keeping track, we are 14-8 as a guild thus far. Have we beaten Ascendency? No. FR? No, Deadweight? No, and not a single member from my guild in this forum has said anything of the sort, but when Psi starts running off with his little mouth and hijacking a thread posted by someone who doesn't even get to do rated's with their guild, i find it prudent to point out that the almighty 2 button sorc has indeed been beaten by what he considers "baddies."
  8. Really? BTW that was a 220-0 civil war loss. Let me grab the screens of you losing to Disconnect too. Should make your little epeen hurt a bit. This one is for Insanus. Get over yourself Psi. Trololol http://img541.imageshack.us/img541/6021/screenshot2012121219480.jpg EDIT: and I just realized the implication of your "screenshot of ME in this game." You're right, without you, that guild would have been nothing. We obviously won a rated match against 8 members of Cookies because YOU weren't on it. My apologies. Guess the still, and former members of that guild really have something to emulate if one of their teams is lacking the presence of the sole member it takes to win a match.
  9. weird, sort of when we beat your B team...or was it the C team? D team? You were on it....., said good game, and you couldn't say anything back? Oh i forgot, you mentioned that it was all alts and you all had your hands tied behind your back with each other's heads in your asses or something. Some whack, piss-poor excuse. Trash talking. That is what you do. Not once, in a rated match, win or lose against your guild, have I ever trash talked Post-match, in a win, or a loss (i can post some ss of disconnect VS cookies wins if you forgot) so get over yourself.
  10. trololol objectives. Sit down, water boy. FR needs some refreshments! no more D-Team posts from you! EDIT: and please speak up, no one can hear you from the bench.
  11. /yawn my clicking ability has nothing to do with bugs, glitches, or potential exploits/hacks in this game. Thanks for your lack of input, though.
  12. I would like you to quote anywhere in the thread where I accused someone of hacking. Thanks.
  13. I think Atalas put that in his "special time" vault...I don't go there
  14. I honestly can say that I have only SEEN speed hacks, so I wanted to get some input as to what I was looking at in-match, as well as afterward watching the stream. Shooting under the forcefield at the last door in voidstar is cheap, but it is not a hack. Carnage pred + force speed...fast, not a speed hack. I am certainly not a QQer when I get face-rolled in a match, but I definitely wanted some insight on that video. I though, and some of the people i was playing with also though it was pretty blatant. Thanks for your input, and I will definitely consider reporting it.
  15. I am not one to accuse another player of anything, but in a match I had about 15 minutes ago, I pulled the following clip from my Twitch.tv stream. Thoughts, or an explanation on this? http://www.twitch.tv/swtor_mattis/c/1865411 Initially I thought I just missed a smash which happens from time to time, but after panning the camera, the Vanguard I jumped to was mysteriously gone, and I was stunned. I have seen plenty of "ghosting" due to bad client-side connections, as well as standard server-side lag, but this one seemed a bit different. I figured this would be a great first post from my end too, so if I happened to have created this thread in the wrong forum, it can be moved, or deleted at the moderators' leisure. Love, Mattis
