  1. Would anyone else like to see storm moved to a baseline skill maybe remove the root but give it back in talents in the tank tree? In its place maybe give us a skill that increases shield chance by say 45-50% for 4-6 seconds on a 45s-1min CD. Thoughts ideas...

  4. Well there's your problem. But seriously, Spawned turrets are great for those emp missiles or a proton torp with extended range for that pesky rail gun drone. Honestly its way to soon to judge bombers we will need to see a few weeks of game play before we can begin to decide what tactics are best and whats overpowered or under-powered.
  5. Your doing ti wrong. Nah but really though. My advice is dont go head to head come in from the side or behind. Hold fire to your within 2k meters then power to weapons and fire in tandem with rockets. This will melt them pretty quickly. If they barrel roll away... Well you have one too. Overall gunships are in a decent spot. That being said i have huge issues with ion-cannon, and i think it's overpowered. That is a topic for another thread.

  7. The only power up that needs removed is the double damage. 2x regen is fine.

  10. What a shame if only there were a guy he could talk to or a button he could push in order to change his specialization. Honestly your being short sighted. Many commando/mercs have two sets of gear one for healing and one for dps. This allows them to que for a FP as both dps and heal and simply respec and swap gear accordingly. Nothing wrong with this.

  12. This... Honestly if they didn't have burst cannons, quads, and distortion fields cd was longer (imho 1 min is not to long for an invincibility button) then they would be fine. Scouts should be about using your superior speed and maneuverability to drop in behind a target click to him like glue while you take him down. They should loss a head to head pass, the idea of it should scare them.
  13. Because Havoc squad is modeled after the U.S. Army Special Forces. They are the silent professionals not camera whores. My vanguard proudly wears the sergeant title, because everyone knows that while officers visit the special forces the nco's stay and get s*** done till death, age, or injury takes them. You want a heroic title strap on the sergeant title... If you think you can handle it.
  14. So am i the only one who would love to see the speed of strafing given a massive increase? Just imagine how much more interesting space combat would be....

  16. The problem is what so many was to pierce or bypass shields they quickly become less and less competitive with evasion. The 5% damage reduction is a non factor because so many spam weapons pierce 100% of armor.

  18. To be fair i really love playing till i get hit by ion rail guns a few times. As only fly strike (unless a scout burst/bypass me then i kindly return the favor the rest of the match, to him and only him) such a thing is friggen lame and i usually stop playing. I don't mind dying to a skilled player. I do mind dying when i can't move or fight.
  19. Honestly the slug rail-gun doesn't really bother me. Its the F***ING ion rail-gun that ruins the game for me. If it just removed my shields then engine power or slowed me that is one thing, but to remove weapon power on top of that is frankly to far. Not to mention the AoE. At that point your dead you cant even fight back.

  21. Sounds right to me all you did was fly around and hunt. Which while useful and beneficial to the team is not the real goal of domination. I will give you they should increase the radius around satellites for defense.
  22. Honestly burst cannons belong on starguards more than flashfires. The biggest problem is so with much shield pen, bypass and so much 100% armor pen, shields mean so little that evasion becomes ridiculously overpowered very quickly.
  23. Charged plating will always be useless as long as 100% armor ignore remains on spam weapons. Missiles and torps its fine to have that anything else its absurd.
  24. Part of the problem is so many lasers have shield pierce which really cuts into those EHP numbers and im not even sure how to go about calculating what effect it would have. I do know that Shield pierce is going to reduce a strikes EHP a lot faster than a scout.
  25. And you lost me im unsure what this has to do with well anything we were discussing. A larger engine will provide more thrust. Thrust that will offset and exceed the added weight and mass of the engine. Also space shuttles don't travel past the moon. Second in space all motion is perpetual if a space ship starts to move an engine, any engine, will continue to accelerate the object only difference is how fast. This space combat in swtor however is based on atmosphere flight in which the removal of thrust means the loss of speed (straffing and sitting still are more like space flight). Therefore the more thrust you have the faster you can go because the trust is required to over come the friction of the air. Therefore a larger engine with more thrust will make you travel faster. First increase the rate that koiogran turn, power dive and snap turn change the direction of your ship. Second given that these skills all have a secondary function of moving your ship in some direction your probably right that the speed boost shouldn't be removed. However it should not propel you forward faster than your afterburners. Is it a transportation skill or an evasion skill? There should be clear differences between the two.
