  1. You win the whole world for this. And just chiming in to see glad that the thread has stayed mostly on topic, without huge forays into other games. It was a bit disheartening to see this place often turning into Dragon Age/Mass Effect discussion. In any case, I'm not discouraged by the lack of announcement at ComicCon. While I think SGRAs are pretty important as a storyline addition, I don't think they're actually a selling point to get people in. However, once people are in the game and see romances, they're probably bound to wonder where the SGRAs are. I know I was. I went into this game not even knowing about most of it, and the lack of SGRA inclusion continues to baffle me. But I am patient!
  2. I had that same thing happen, and I actually made a thread called "Theran thinks he's my boyfriend" some time ago. I think the general consensus was that he's just that delusional.
  3. Actually... I have a feeling the main gist of that post may have been to stop all the Mass Effect discussion. Not all of us are Mass Effect players, after all.
  4. There's still PVP flagging on PVE servers; believe me, I'm on one. Sadly, even a PVE server doesn't completely turn off PVP, so we have issues like this.
  5. This would be the solution I propose. I understand that they don't want people aiding PVPers without being in PVP themselves. It would be horribly unfair for a non-flagged healer to throw buffs and heals on a PVPer while they fought. However, sometimes I'll target a PVPer by accident, and all it takes is one misclick to accidentally heal or buff someone (especially with the Trooper/Bounty Hunter's "healing bullets"). It'd be much appreciated if we could just have some option to never do it at all, sort of using the same mechanics of how we can't heal or buff NPCs or Pets (the option gets grayed out, or we auto-target ourselves). It would be much better than having to find a Cantina and stop playing for five minutes. EDIT: I just had this issue happen, and I took 16 minutes and 34 seconds for the flag to go away.
  6. Just point of order here; one thing I liked about Dragon Age 2 was how you could romance someone that was rival to your point of view. Instead of having to be all buddy-agreeable, you two could be absolute opposites and still end up in the sack. My mother and stepfather are actually good real-life examples; they're opposite ends of the political spectrum and disagree on many things, yet somehow it all works.
  7. And I wanted to point something out here. A lot of people say this, as well as it's counter-argument (they said they were adding it after launch). Me, I went into this game completely blind. I try to avoid reading about things before I try them so that my opinion isn't coloured by the misperceptions or biases of others. In fact, I would have never played this game at all until a free trail was passed my way, had I not gotten into the beta. When I was playing the beta, all I knew was "Star Wars" and "everything is voice acted." I didn't know there were companion characters AT ALL until the story suddenly stuck Corso on me. That's when I realized why there was no pet class! So when I started to see Flirt options, I wondered if there were same-sex options (because I was never seeing any), and that lead me here. What I guess I'm trying to say is that it's not a safe assumption that everyone reads all the internet buzz before playing a game; some people just play it and THEN decide what they think should be changed with it.
  8. Sooo... what's the important stuff? Because really, to some of us, this is the only aspect of the game that needs any work. Story-driven people want the story worked on, people think the UI is the most important issue, some say there's performance issues, PVPers want PVP... stuff (I really don't understand the PVP complaints, so I can't comment on them). I don't PVP or do Operations. I've never had any performance issues. Though I won't go into any other forum and say that fixes and patches for those areas should be put off until SGRAs are in place. We're not here to talk about prioritization, but to discuss this one single thing.
  9. This I agree with 100%. It's why I haven't done any companion dialogue with her, yet; I'm hoping she's a same-sex relationship option for my female Consular. She's too adorable not to be!
  10. Umm... the Ship Droid minigame isn't real. Today is April 1st.
  11. I agree! Part of the best news I've heard all day!
  12. This was posted in the same-sex romance thread, but I have a feeling that it will apply here, as well:
  13. I actually had to deal with unwanted advances from Theran on my Consular, already. It was pretty easy to just shut him down. And why, exactly, should all flirting be removed?
  14. Indeed! There's a bit of a fallacy that those of us here are only concerned with SGRA. For the record, I'm actually more concerned with the addition of more cosmetic options (companion helmet toggles, hood toggles, more pets, hue to chest, ship customization, weapon equip preview, changing of character appearance options post-creation) but SGRA was the only one that requires me getting more information for. I have Nadia, Vette, Mako and Elara with permanent mission icons above their heads on my ship because I don't know if it's safe to proceed with talking to them, yet. This is my reason for only posting about this issue, rather than the others I care about; it's actually changing my gameplay because I don't want to have to reroll my character if things are done a certain way. NOTE: Legacy was another thing keeping me from playing a certain way, since I wasn't sure if "new races" could be applied to existing characters. Since it's confirmed that you CANNOT change race after creation, I now know for sure not to create more alts, just yet. I also hope they change their mind on this, because I really want to make more alts, but don't want to have to reroll if they release playable races like Voss, Cathar, Togruta, Nautolan or Zeltron.
  15. I don't know who Jaesa is or what class she's a companion for, but all the "spoilers" I've been accidentally seeing seem to indicate it's a companion who's Light or Dark sidedness is something you have control over. I hope they don't make her gender preference based upon which path she's on. I can't quite put my finger on it (maybe because it's about 6 AM), but that feels wrong. That's a shame; I adore Nadia and hope she's a Consular female romance option! Same with Elara, really. Maybe more so with Elara, now that I've actually met her in-game.
  16. Again, this would also mean you'd have to hide options that result in torture of innocents or murder and such. I hate the idea of hurting someone like that, so I take the OTHER choices! It's a lovely system in place.
  17. That's exactly my point, Tsu. If you can ignore the murder/torture options (which I assume would also be something you would dislike personally), why not the same-sex options?
  18. I think the actual issue is that BioWare is doing just that, with this game, in the weekly Q&A threads, just not on this particular topic.
  19. I was hoping for this, too, as I progressed in my Consular story. Alas, all I ever heard was Theran. I'd love to hear others opinions on the battles... particularly C2 making "C3-P0"-style worrying remarks. I know he annoys some people, but I think he's amusing.
  20. That's actually what I was thinking, this time, Kioma. It's not just us getting hosed, anymore. I wonder what could be happening to involve so many topics getting less information?
  21. Actually, I would love to see pets in the game expanded on, in general. Giving one as a "companion to the companion" would be a good addition for ALL romances. Yes, I saw the reference to Leliana and her nug earlier in the thread. I LOVED that whole arc, and Leliana was the only character in that whole game I could romance, no matter what gender my Warden was. When Morrigan was asking me what I saw in her, I wanted to throttle the witch! What's NOT to love about Leliana? She's an adorable redhead assassin-bard that loves animals. And the accent... gracious me... But anyway! I think, actually, giving a particular romance gift would be a better way to start ANY companion romance than looking for a "Flirt" option in their dialogue; that way there's no possible way you could even accidentally initiate one.
  22. Okay, not going to reply to any specific post because I'm sure it'll probably be deleted for being offensive before I can even finish typing this line. That's good, because it really WAS offensive! But anyway... Something I've seen a few SGRA detractors throw out as an excuse to ban the content is the "guy playing a lesbian to get his kicks" argument. As if most of us were basement-dwelling loners who have to get jollies by seeing two girls together in a brief cut-scene, because clearly you can't find things any racier than that on the internet! Even if that were the case and every single person fighting for SGRAs was just a guy wanting to see some Mako-on-Vette action... ... so what? Again, you're not forced to see this content unless you take the obviously labeled options that lead to it. Furthermore (and again, we're living in hyperbole world where the game is played by nothing but lesbian-fetish men), this is still the addition of content! When BioWare adds PVP content, I don't fanatically oppose it or try to limit it so I can't see it. I don't argue that "PVP content? That's only added for a bunch of guys trying to make up for some inadequacies in their real lives!" Even though I do find PVP personally offensive, I don't feel the need to explain why I hate PVP and use my personal beliefs for any reason to limit in-game content. Added content means more happy players. More happy players mean more money for the game. More money for the game means more resources to improve the parts YOU like. I'd really like to believe that most of the player base is rational, and won't get upset at just seeing the possibility of something they don't like existing, of course.
  23. Please tell me, then, Galius; how is what you're asking for different than my example of disabling seeing PVP terminals and such, or sparklecat's example of turning off the ability to see minority romances?
