who knows why, but you do get 2 more pretty much back to back after you're done with Act 1. I don't count Quesh as a planet, more like a pit stop.
Also you will have another companion pop up before you're done with Act 1.
-
Act 3 is good, but I think 2 was better,
had more emotional "i'm going to kick everybody's *** for mind-controlling me
Agent's story is the best one imo, next to Knight story (though it's obviously the one BW chose as the primary story)

Even the godly Fatman is light atm.
The world is ending.

I hate Kaliyo...but the girl can tank when geared properly, so I use her to take on the big baddies while I heal her. Otherwise when I'm just normal questing and using a dps spec, I'd choose temple over anything else though. Melee and Ranged dps compatriots oh yea.

just started act 3, so far a 9.

I have to will myself to get past levels 18-32 on any of my characters...so damn tedious. In a similar vein, I was wondering if anybody could tell me what levels are more enjoyable than others... I'm going through the Taris / Quesh part of the chain, and absolutely hating every second of it... I've shelved pretty much all my toons at, or around about this level. It just becomes so repetitive, dull and lifeless that it's hopeless to level almost.Maybe just the level range; not a lowbie, but still nowhere near level cap I wonder... Just so effing boring. If future planets mirror this level of intense drudgery, I'm giving this game the flick.
Also, there are never any guild adverts in fleet or wherever else... There is absolutely zero community in this game, it is one of the most depressing experiences game-wise I've had.

Actually I play almost exclusively pug. It's not hard hit the top ranks. the mara situation is it's own beast. I just picked up a mara character I've had sitting since 1.1 for a while and it's ridiculously easy to dps with it. And he's only lvl 20. Again, that's a mara issue, not Op. There are more bugs with the game than I care to count. Fix those and we can start seeing balance issues.Top 3 if you are in a premade sure, try premade vs premade or pug vs pug, entirely different story and if you are getting actually AIMED for, you'll be in the BOTTOM 3 pretty much guaranteed, happens to me all the time, if I'm in a group year sure I can shine, but any other class in the same situation out shines me and my dps (example mara , if I hit 300k he'll hit 660k odd) we are not even close so people like you, should stop smoking crack and come back to reality.Oh yeah also if what you were saying were true and we were not an issue (like at launch) then there wouldn't of been hordes of people quitting their ops (or just switching to pure healing) and GM's basically banning OPS from coming to raids (again, multiple threads on this if you come back to reality and take a search and read) if DPS was not an issue then none of this would be happening, HUGE difference between L2P and class balance.
Oh wait, that's why it's hard to get a raid going with a dps Op, the Op is fine. It's the other class(es) that need to be brought back down to earth. Now if you will stop smoking crack and look at the big picture and look at other classes, instead of playing a single class, you're argument might hold a little water.

more cunning is better as an op in general. No matter what spec. Except maybe Lethality, because you'll be at a distance applying dots more than anything else, so a little more health because of no stealth(and I just rhymed, oh yea). Also, Armormech while you level up is a good thing trust me, it saves a ton of money. Don't bother getting the purple, or even blue schematics until you're about lvl 27. Gear becomes outdated a little less quickly.

have you checked their respective forums?
plenty there to wade through.

+1 to this whole thread really
-
I love playing an op. Especially with another, then it's easy mode.
easily top 3ish in damage and almost always top 2 in healing. unless I absolutely suck in a game sometimes.
l2p op class.

Gotta love Armormech in this case. For once look like what was advertised.

yes you can, emailing works for your legacy characters, regardless of faction.
I have an Arms smuggler and an armormech Agent, they be pen pals.
[EDIT] When say, you email an Armormech head piece to another faction, it automatically switches to that faction's "colors". like Agent's Combat Headgear at lvl 29 emailed is not the same in looks if emailed to a Smuggler. Same stats though.

Oh really? I have been following this game for yonks and I have just learnt this lol what a nubcake >.< I looked online and couldnt see any recipe's in the Synth list either that may be good for heavy armour, perhaps I have gone blind too
you can think of the differences in Synthweaving and Armormech like this,
Strength and Willpower stats>>>>>Synthweaving
Aim and Cunning Stats>>>>>>Armormech.
Pretty much
-
you get sprint at lvl 1 now if that's what your talking about.
other than that, no. nothing has changed.
-
anything that even remotely sounds like what James Bond would say. A blue...James Bond...O_o
-
Nature of the class really =/.
Tough to beat a class that specializes in completely neutralizing ranged classes. My two cents, knockback, flashbang, aimed shot, leg shot, followed by run away until you can find some teammates.
-
^^ I think that's why it's mainly taking this long to get such a simple seeming design to happen.
clipping and glitches galore I foresee if they rush it.
-
lolgeth.
oh yea.

I oftentimes find that after I kill someone who had a healer on them that the healer becomes "agressive" to me and holds me in combat, even though he doesn't hit me. Sometimes I see them casting heals in on someone else, perhaps this "can" keep us in combat...
That seems to be the case since they changed the fact that healers can now get kills while healing now.
-
That's what they said about this game. This is one of the many many reasons that GW2 is going to crush this game. -
I'd go straight for Kolto Probe, which you should get ~ lvl 20-23. After that it's just what kind of spec you want to be, healer, conceal, or lethal.
I'd recommend getting the Backstab and Shiv crit/dmg boost talents though no matter what. Extra dmg is never a bad thing

Smuggler on Tatooine. During the class story where you have a 4 way chat with Diago, the Jedi, and the Sith.
after some minor talking and insulting from all sides, If you don't choose any LS option till after a couple of lines.
Sith: *Waves hand in Mind Trick motion toward PC* You will draw your weapon. You will kill the Jedi
Smuggler: Are you out of your mind? *then turns to look at Jedi*
Jedi: *Waves hand in Mind Trick motion toward PC* You will kill the Sith
Smuggler: Will both of you stop waving your hands like that? You look foolish.
Thoughts on Engineering for PvP and solo play
in Gunslinger / Sniper

the 3 spec's have different play styles. Which makes me love having both a sniper and a GS. GS is SS, sniper is engineering, though I just started to level it up a bit.
Depends on your play style and what you want to do in PvP. Let out the single target burst, who won't live past 5 seconds if they stay in the open? stick with Marksmen. Want to defend a node/door with very good efficiency, or discourage the zerg'ing, roll with engineering. and of course Lethality is for a classic burn down.
Engineering is just fine to use imo, I love it just as much as Marksmen, though Lethality as a sniper doesn't seem as useful to me as an Op, I like my distance to the target to much.
