  1. This is my current Arsenal build http://www.nps.gov/stri/naturescience/index.htm
  2. "If the best defense is a good offense, the Mercenary’s got the most intimidating defense in the galaxy. Heavily-modded blasters and deadly heatseeking missiles make the Mercenary a mobile heavy weapons platform. There’s no problem extra firepower can’t solve, and no one who knows what he’s doing gets between a Mercenary and his target." Anyone seen anything like the above description in the game lately? Maybe we can sue for false advertising....
  3. Having a 40% crit rate in the character panel does not mean you will crit 40% of the time. It means that every time you cast an ability that can crit, you have a 40% chance for that cast to be a crit. Eg; You may cast 10 times and not crit once then the next 5 casts will be crits. Or vice versa. Eg; You may cast 10 times and crit on all of them and then the next 5 casts wont crit.
  4. Lets suppose damage meters are available right now. How would you use them to actually make decisions? Assuming their main purpose is for EV lets go through the boss fights and see how effective they actually are. Annihilation Droid - Okay I can see a benefit for having meters in this fight but it is totally doable without them so that kind of voids their use. Gharj - Again doable without meters. Pillars - I don't see damage meters making any difference in this encounter what so ever. Council - No need for meters here at all as you can see who finishes their duel early and who does not. Soa - This is were it gets tricky. Meters would be very helpful here BUT they would have to take into account game mechanics. It is very likely that your best healer and DPS will either get thrown around the room or mind trapped more than your worst healer and DPS so the meters will actually favor your mediocre and bad players. Damage meters are not going to end your raiding woes and the only real place they are needed is in Soa and the mechanics of the fight such as dodging/soaking orbs and positioning for DPS phase are what really needs to be overcome, not the overall Damage or healing output. I'm all for combat log, custom UI and macros but meters aren't going to change much.
  5. I was getting this bug the other night except much worse, I couldn't see myself, team mates, boss, mind traps, lightning balls, or platforms at all just name frames that's it. Every now and then some things would re appear and then vanish again. Tried changing graphic/camera options and re-logging to an alt to fix it nothing worked. As soon as I got into the instance random things start disappearing. Also it wasn't just happening in SOA's room as the bridge near the pylons would disappear when running back. At first I just lol'd and thought hmm "challenge accepted". However not being able to see where mind traps are as DPS is not very beneficial to my team.
  6. Where exactly has Bioware stated that the way to kill Malgus is to knock him of the edge? This is just the way that Players have figured out to do it and then told other people and so on and now people think its the desired mechanic and that this is how it's done. We killed him before he even went into unlimited power mode last night in Hard mode. No knock back, his dead body still on the platform. And to the guy that said he told one of there team mates not to kill him at 20k hp.. Seriously just kill him and if you don't like the way the fight is then maybe it just isn't the FP for you.
  7. Many people are doing quests, crafting and exploring right now. I think when everyone hits 50 or maybe 40+ there will be much quicker WZ queues. I did PvP for 4 hours straight yesterday and the longest queue time was about 10 minutes which is easy to deal with. I just did crafting and chatted away in guild chat in between games. I'm Imperial on a full server btw.
  8. I think there is going to be neutral gear venders when the game is launched on Dec 20th. At least that is what I have heard during beta. Don't know if this is official but I hope they do something for neutral path because not everyone is jedi/sith and the light/dark side is mainly about them in the SW universe.
