  1. Title. Gloating. Basically the same annoying **** you can do with the Founder title.
  2. While I'm all for the attempt to make things balanced and blahblahblah... Today I logged in and discovered that the Consumption ability now consumes health, even when it's proc'd by Innervate. I'd like to think of myself as "not a moron" when it comes to healing in PvP (hell let's even include PvE) environments as a Sorcerer, but to brutalize long-term sustainability like that is just painful to the point of no return. While other classes such as Juggers, Maras, Mercs etc... are able to survive in longer fights than me (even with the pre-nerf proc), I now can't keep up with my team in any consistent and beneficial manner. I either run away from a fight to end my fight-mode and Seethe, or I hit Consumption and hope I don't cost an ally his life while I'm trying to recover enough Force to keep him alive (or, by Consuming and ignoring my lost health I then become an easy target that gets focus-burst and can still no longer heal my ally away from death). This is when focusing on one target - in a PvP I'm more often than not having to shield and HoT other team members on the sidelines (which I can no longer do efficiently). Sure, the nerf to Force Bending hurts, but at least let us keep the Consumption proc bonus that let's us use Dark Heal in place of Dark Infusion. As far as I'm concerned, the combo is Resurgence -> Dark Infusion. Hence the proc that gave it reduced Force Cost. If I'm spamming 2 Dark Heals (equal to 1 Dark Infusion) that takes more time and way more Force Power then what's the point in having the proc give crit chance if we can't do it more than a few times before needing to recover? I've yet to test this new feature thoroughly in PvE, but from what I remember I functioned in a similar fashion in that environment as well. I can't switch from healing to damage to healing without suffering extreme Force Power depletion, and I now have no chance of recovering until the fights end. Just my 2 cents.
  3. Well, maybe... Just MAYBE, if you use a Relics Alacrity buff you may be able to shoot off a single DI... But then you're back to spamming Dark Heal like a newb all over again.
  4. Make losses reward you based off performance, not off the game result - that way you have incentive to play well even with a crap game you know you'll lose. Got 100 in a few, just gotta play it right.
  5. This. This is what ticks me off, especially as a "healer" (I use that word ironically after this nerf-patch). There are games that have been lost where I've healed my *** off, gotten the most kills, helped gain objectives etc... but I still get crappy rewards just because 1 or 2 members of my team happen to be a little slow on the uptake. The wins are ok, even though some guys get carried - but maybe shift it a little to a performance-based reward system so that players capturing objective, healing, getting kills, etc... all count toward the end reward.
  6. Just bad luck I guess, over 50% of my warzones have been that new map and I've played all afternoon.
  7. Can't remember the answer to title, but the per match is - not if you participate. I got 100 comms in a couple matches we won when I got my 8+ medals. So as long as you're doing your part you'll be fine.
  8. Through healing? Not as well as before. It's now a case of having to heal for intermittent periods of time and fill the gaps in with DPSing whatever moves to try and rack up enough points to earn other types of medals. Through that strategy I can get maybe 10-11 medals in a good match.
  9. 1) Full champion, currently about to transition to BM 2) No 3) Champion, Recruit looks **** and my old Champ gear is better.
  10. What? You got butthurt because you couldn't DPS through a heal or what? After having spent the entire afternoon PvPing I can say the 0.9 delay on DI (not 1.8, I'm sure the double-1.3 cast was a bug) is hurting bad enough that I even had to bring out the Dark Heal so I could shoot off some quick heals to keep someone up long enough to DI them. While doing that it drains Force Power like a whore and oh look, Consumption got nerfed to the point where I barely have a chance to use it before someone notices my health depleting and takes advantage of the situation (oh, and by the way, we're squishy as hell, so the moment anyone focuses us we're screwed to **** because the DPS was out of our heal capacity against Snipers/Ops/Maras even BEFORE the nerf - how the hell are we supposed to survive now? And piss off with the "premade, not pug, hurr hurr" argument, because even then I still get trampled). Force Bending nerf, yeah fair enough, whatever, I can still hit 400k healing in a match if I try super-duper hard. But to nerf our sustainaibility in long-term fights while other classes ,using Rage for example, are able to keep going regardless is just outright ridiculous. Had a fight with a Jedi Sentinel was doing outrageous DPS, fighting 3+ of my team, and was healing himself through combat. Self-sustainability beyond that of any healer no matter what you did... Pre-nerf. I won't quit my healer, as I'm determined to be above average and come out on top - making me a popular choice for groups and raids later on, but I'm not happy about having both of those big nerfs being thrown at me. So from me it's a yuck fou, and challenge accepted!

    WTB Healer!

To be honest, if you're having trouble as a healer then it's not always just your fault - it's also partially on your team. I found when going in with premades that my team is more often than not paying attention to their healer (me) and making sure that I'm safe and in a position to take full advantage of a free-heal-fest. Sure in PUGs and premades alike I get focus-fired and marked, but that's because I'm a healer. You can't expect everyone in a random to back you up, and odds are there's a pre on the other side marking you. On top of that I've never once had anyone complain about healing in any match I've played, and if I do get feedback I always get positive comments and lots of thanks - alongside MvP votes with it. Also, this guide is useful: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=61363
  12. Have a bit of an issue with my gaming keyboard, in that the images/artwork displayed is slightly sketchy with lines across is sometimes. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? I heard of a few people having it but don't know how it was resolved. Thanks in advance for help =)
  13. I had this once - I couldn't get the chain again through NPCs. If you can, try getting someone with the quest you abandoned to group and SHARE it with you - this can work on some.
  14. A moderately geared healer can get that main heal spell fired off in 1.3, double-cast, with a 4k crit while force bending is active. Not to mention Recklessness also adds 60% crit chance - making it a near sure thing to crit on both casts of the main spell. Insta-proc heals for ~600 non crit, plus another 600ish over time. Then the next 2.6 seconds give roughly 8k HP back. It's fun as hell to irritate other classes as they pound on me while I heal through the damage. Also @OP: pay attention to your surroundings? There may have been another healer giving aid at the time. I've only ever seen HP jump up that fast when there's at least one other person healing (making 2 people healing the 1 target), or some other environmental factor (map heals etc...).

    Your best heals?

Jeez some of these scores are nuts. Anyone seen a 1m+ before? Interested to know if it's possible.
  16. Paint it! That'll be 5 million credits please.
  17. In endgame PvP you'll find there are much more CC abilities to keep you rooted and whatnot. Even so, occasionally I rage at the screen when I get focused and my team ignores it (I'm a healer), but apart from those rare moments I enjoy almost every game. Sure some players have different skills and advantages, but so do you... I out-heal almost anyone that tries to 1/2v1 me keeping them off the objective and focused on me until they get bored. Haters gonna hate. PvP is fun.

    Your best heals?

Just had 2 of the BEST healing games ever on my sorcerer after a re-re-spec. Originally started as healer, then shifted to check out the Lightning tree (apparently not so good), then I switched back to healer. Bearing in mind I'm only in half Champion, half Centurion gear, I think I didn't do too badly... My tops heals are: 1) 603k 2) 515K Proof: http://imgur.com/a/fNaCl I'm interested to see what other top scores people have got while in a PvP (healing, protection, damage, anything!) - so c'mon, post yours and show off! =)
  19. To be honest I don't see where things are going badly for you. I was given a piece of advice before starting, and that's to always choose Commendations as quest rewards while leveling. This tactic has meant I'm able to purchase blue/purple mods, orange up-to-date gear, and also means I'm not spending my credits on these things. Granted I did sway a few times when a piece of armour gave an epic increase in stats for a companion every now and then, but mostly I chose the Commendations as a reward - this means I'm more able to spam the crap out of my fighting and complete all my quests and bonus quests - and even the Bonus Series that are available. Not to mention my Treasure Hunting and Archeology Crew Skills give me a load of credits even when I just NPC the green/blue stuff coming back from Lockboxes. Half the stuff I get now I can stick in the GTN (Galactic Trade Network) for a small profit - so blue/orange/purple gear that I'm not donating to guild mates I sell. All inventory spaces unlocked, Warehouse nearly there, maxed myself to 50 and bought all my skills... And this is while repairing gear after every 2-3 hours (costs me roughly 2-3k per hour when I sit and play properly). To sum up: - Choose Commendations as rewards, purchase your items/upgrades with those and not with credits. - Complete bonus quests, for extra farm - NPC the loot - I'd suggest NPCing anything that isn't blue (that you plan to use) or higher (to sell in the GTN or use yourself) - Do a few Bonus Series, you'll see you get a higher percentage of decent drops on these quests, and you get better rewards - Use your Crew Skills - unlike most MMOs, they actually give you a good income and high value return for your investment
  20. Yes, let's develop a game with the combat system being focused around peripherals that are less commonly used than... Say... A keyboard and mouse - which are actually shipped WITH THE PLATFORM THE GAME IS FOR. How could you buy the game before noticing it didn't have the nice green Xbox case? Derp. FYI - SW:TOR is currently on the PC, I haven't seen it on PS3 or Xbox anywhere (in shops, so don't bother quoting news articles saying "it's planning kekeke"), so why would BW default to using a funky controller instead of the keyboard?
  21. Just a bump on this - I can't restart this one either after the same problems. Abandon and you can't re-take it. Lol...
  22. And what if you're suddenly in a situation you WEREN'T planning for, and have to switch mid-combo? Your reply is fine, assuming every single player in existence has memorized a every single fight plan for every conceivable scenario - and let's face it, only the hardcore players know how to adapt to survive.
