Hello there Chris. When I first saw this thread before the wipe, I didn't even know what it was about so I passed over it. Now that I know what it is, I kind of like the idea to be honest. Well, before I go and introduce myself I'd just like to share a lesson and some of my experiences that I learned myself and over time while playing my first MMO. Not everyone is all that nice (some people can be down right mentally insane), but there's quite a few out there who are very nice such as the ones found in this thread. But in-game once you find your particular crowd via a guild or friends met on the fly it gets a whole lot better. A lot of people will claim that what makes a good MMO is the gameplay, but I'll give them some credit on that, they're half-right. But what makes it lasting is the people you meet and give you that sense of belonging. Now it wont last forever though, even some of the best guilds I belonged to had their fallings apart. Don't get discouraged if they do, there's always other guilds to join. It might take a few before you find one to settle in with that feels right for you and when you do you'll make plenty of more friends. Also don't get too carried away though and become attached to people. I know I have before, just don't. It only ended in pain and tears for me in the past and even for the person of the other party involved. I've learned to keep my distance emotionally. Just treat them like you would your classmates/colleagues and it'll be okay. Also if you have questions about you chosen character class, feel free to ask others about it. The more you know the easier and better your gaming experience will become, for both you and others as well. Other than that, back to business shall we. I also enjoy walking, listening to 80s and dance music, even some talk radio and sketching out characters when I'm not playing online games.

Seeing as how I pre-ordered in late November, I have about a week most likely before I can play so I got nothing better to do with my time other than drawing and listening to music/talk radio until they let me in. Then when they do let me in I'll probably continue to draw on the side, using it as an escape from all the little annoyances that MMOs bring. Who knows, I'll probably get quite a few inspirations (either bad or either good) for more sketches from playing too.

Great stuff indeed. I especially liked the one with the inquisitor and the gizka. But then again I'm a sucker for pink on dark colours too so maybe I'm a tad biased on liking it.

A new face with some new stuff to share! I've been drawing for years, usually that which I am interested the most in at the time and thus with that comes fan art. Recently I had bought a new drawing tablet for my computer and with that the ability to share and do more with my sketches then I was able to do previously before. Most of my work will be posted in this thread as it becomes finished. But as of now all I currently have is one finished piece of TOR fan art. Once I get more experienced using a computer over a sketchpad and more pieces of work done, then I'll start putting more up. So without much else left to say, let's get started! The green liquid dripping from the blaster is hot, liquid kolto right after being used to heal someone in combat. I had enlarged it and sharpened it from the original size which was just too small. Added a few more layers to it since last time and finished the smoke effects. Shading and lighting and additional details are all that's left pretty much now. [uPDATE]: This is the final version of this drawing. Fixed some of the colour, added additional details, redrew the face and added additional line work. Enjoy. I started drawing this character out one day as a small sketch to test out my new tablet. But after my friend said how she was too skinny for the name I gave her, I went back to redraw her and got the final result shown above. Enjoy!
