Your CPU is fine- Edit- is that a Xeon- is taht 2006ish model? Your ram is fine. That 8800GTX though is a few years old. However, SWTOR is not exactly graphically taxing. What resolution are you gaming at? reduce it by a setting and see if that works as a quick fix

I agree it was pretty, but it felt too big for walking- no speeders and for the capital of the republic it felt very sparsely populated.

I am enjoying some planets more than others. Perhaps we could share what we like so that maybe someone will go HEY! We should do more of that! What planet did you like best? Alderaan Why did you like it? It was open; variety of enemies and it was the first time I felt like a war was even going on. Enemies in battles jump packed in, not just spawning. Liked the staged attacks and battles. None of the resources were bugged and there was plenty to harvest. What could be improved? More movement fro NPC's and more chaotic battles. Turrets need to be involved and vehicles. NPC's can attack a position, die, or fall back then start again. Bring about the end of the stationary NPC - actions = immersion.

What router do you use? It might be that it has messed up or needs access. Have u tried disabling windows firewall and any anti-virus firewall such as bleeding Norton.

Maybe just lose the fade to black, i find it disjoints the experience, like I suddenly look around my room and realize I am playing a game.

Is it me or is the forced overly long rez scene reminiscent of the silly being raised in Too Human. Why fade to black, it feels like the game just crashed not sometime later. The Beta bug showed u don't need the cut to black as you were rezzed then cut to black then rezzed again. This and the increasingly long rez timers are the only 2 bug bears I have had so far.
