  1. Sadly I think he is not romance-able I wish he was!
  2. They don't even talk about the Chiss, so I don't think this article is really true. I added myself the Chiss to the list and also the source of the "X-Wing serie of books" by Aaron Allston, where they clearly say that Twi'leks and Humans cannot interbreed at all. Imagine if Twi'leks and humans could have Hybrids? there would be Hybrids everywhere in the galaxy. Monsters with half tentacules on the head, etc... it's just not credible at all. The serie Clone Wars 3D did a LOT of nonsense things that contradicts even the movies. They even said that Mandalorians were pacifists and had a queen... -_-
  3. Ok! thanks! When I did Heroic missions I always ended up to loot stuff which was not fit for my character anyway :/ Heroic2+ can be ok, but it's really hard to find enough people for the Heroic 4...
  4. Oh yes, Arkanians are cool. Especially when you read the comics of KOTOR I'm very happy they included the Chiss. It's my favorite specie in Star wars.
  5. I like Jorgan. I hated him at first but then when he becomes your subordinate it's a lot different. He's so serious that it's fun to make him blush sometimes and discover his feelings Vector is on my next planet! can't wait! at first he sounds like these "calmed" magicians of Dragon age (I don't know how you call them in english... the ones who sound sleepy with no feeling).
  6. Ok, thanks for your advice! I just realized that because I did skip all the ones in Balmorra and Nar Shadda, I had trouble to kill enemies during my solo quests afterwards. So I wondered if it was really harder to play if I didn't do the Heroic missions... but I see I'm not the only one!
  7. That's your tastes. It's not my fault if according to polls and opinions of fans of the Expanded Universe, the Thrawn trilogy is the "must-read" and is so popular, and was a best-seller. But you're free not to like it, of course.
  8. Not at all. A clone did marry a twi'lek woman who already had children, that's all. It was not his children. The encyclopedias and books (also in the X-Wings serie where Nawara the twi'lek marries Rysathi the human, and cannot have children and have to adopt) say everywhere that twi'lek CANNOT breed with humans. The only species who could breed with humans are: Chiss, Zeltron, Miraluka, and that's all I think. The most human-looking ones.
  9. >>LizardSF: haha, I was thinking about that, too. I'm sure that some Jedi must have taken advantage of that "non-attachment" thing.
  10. My question is: Is it possible to just play and follow the story with normal quests, without doing the "Heroic" missions? On the first planets I was doing all the Heroic missions, then on the following planets, there are more and more! and everytime it's harder to find a group, or the mission is too long, etc... so now I skip most of the Heroic missions. But is SWTOR meant to be played like this? because I level up slower than the people who do all the Heroic quests, and then when I arrive on a new planet, I'm for example lvl 24 on a planet supposed to be "24-28", and I have sometimes trouble to finish normal quests or beat this or this elite ennemy... even in my storyline quest. So are we obliged to do the Heroics? And I don't want to do farming and kill mob after mob just to level up...
  11. I agree, the vyborgs are just ugly. It just looks flat and weird on the face. I'd like to play as a Nautolan or Devaronian they are already as NPCs in the game so maybe one day we will be able to play with these species.
  12. I have a female Imperial agent so YES, I'm totally for the romance with a Chiss I hope he'll be looking a bit like Thrawn. I'm fond of Thrawn. There is 2x more risk for him to be attracted by someone else because he would be attracted by both males and females. Also, when a guy is just attracted to women, you know you can "compete" with them. But if he's more attracted to a man, you cannot really compare yourself to him (if he likes his manly side or muscled body for example!) so you cannot even try to compete with that. It's not possible for a woman.
  13. It seems you don't know anything about the Star Wars expended universe. Bioware tried to choose races that were human-looking because it was easier for them to make the skins for the bodies, armors, the way the character runs and moves, etc. The Chiss are very important in the Star Wars expended universe: the best SW books ever are the Thrawn Trilogy, where the villain is Thrawn, a Chiss. Humanoid race with blue skin and red eyes, able to see in the dark, usually they are very intelligent and cultured. The Rattataki is the race of Assaj Ventress, don't you know her? we see her everywhere in the SW cartoon and 3D serie. The Miraluka ("blind humans" as you call them) are already in the first game KOTOR. You can see the others in the movies as well. I understand that it's harder for Bioware to create non-humanoid looking characters, and by the way wookies cannot really wear foot gear or armors, so it would be hard to play that race.
  14. >Klestrik: I guess you can say something to him that he doesn't like and it could end the romance. Or maybe if you flirt with a NPC?
  15. >>Nynuwe: Where did you see a Chiss companion for the other classes? I searched in the companion list and didn't find any Chiss, unfortunately. I'd love to see a romance with a male Chiss, too >>JewelEdleah : But it's not even the point, personnally I would not feel comfortable if me and my husband for example would be attracted by the same sex. That's all. It's not homophobic or anything, I'm just straight, and only attracted by straight men.
  16. Like the others I would definitly say "The Thrawn Trilogy" (Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command). Because you can read them just after seeing the old movie trilogy, and you don't need to have read other books before to understand the story. They are the first books that were written after the old trilogy. And Thrawn is AWESOME ! best villain ever in Star Wars for me you can also read Outbound flight, too, you'll see how the humans met the Chiss and how Palpatine first discovered the existence of Thrawn.
  17. >Gably: the problem is that even if you want to see you companion as hetero, they still show gay dialogue options in their dialogue even if you didn't ask for it. Zevran and Leliana from Dragon age 1 were like this! The problem is that to give the player the choice of having a same-sex romance with them, the gay dialogue option will always show up somewhere. It's not about homophobia at all, it's just that when you want to RolePlay, and want to romance a character or marry him etc, it's troubling to see him (or her) tell you he also fantasize on men as well or stuff like this ^^" If you're hetero girl for example, imagine yourself dating a guy you think is hetero and who says he also loves to watch men's buts? Well I couldn't feel comfortable or date him anymore. He's free to like what he wants, but it would ruin the date for me.
  18. Did any of you know the Chagrian companion of the Jedi Knight? I know he's not romancable, but I dig Chagrians. My Jedi is just lvl 2 so I can delete it and create a new one if I want. I wonder if I would have greater companions as a Knight or a Consular. For the Consular you have Iresso as a romance (male) and he seems a bit better than that horrible "Doc" the Jedi Knights have. The Consular also have Zenith as a companion, but the Knights have "Sargent Rusk", the Chagrian. He looks awesome but is he really an interesting companion?
  19. I'm not for the "every companon should be bisexual" thing. Ok it means everyone could get the companion he/she likes , being a male or a female, but just like in Dragon age 2, it would be strange. I know Star Wars is not especially realistic in general, but come on, if you want to do some RP, seeing that every companion is bisexual is not credible at all. Everyone in real life is not bi. In Dragon Age 1, they had the best solution I think: 2 characters were hetero (Alistair and Morrigan) and the 2 others were bi (Leliana and Zevran). Like this, it's still credible, and we also have choice for the same-sex romance. Anyway they said that the same-sex romance characters will be totally new characters. And for interspecies romances, I'm totally for it! I still don't understand why male player can have romance with alien females (twi'leks, etc), while female players can only have humans (except Jorgan). We want Twi'leks (Zenith!) We want Chagrians! We want Chiss!
  20. And it's more realistic like that! Look at Anakin, he was tempted by love, and still was a Jedi at that time! A Jedi should resist to that kind of temptation, but some of them just can't. It's one of the challenges of being a Jedi
  21. >>Vasdenjas: the character you "created" seems interesting, I'd hope they put that kind of male romance option in the future... Seriously, how do they expect that a girl might want to romance male characters as lame as let's say Doc (Jedi consular story)?? did they think "anyway only guys are playing to SWTOR so we won't bother making good romances for girls" A good romance on the Republic side, for girls? Well my Soldier is a male, but I like Jorgan (the Catar). He's not really handsome and not "really" the romantic type, but I've seen videos of his romance and sometimes he's kinda cute when he doesn't know how to show his feelings.
  22. Oh that's a good thing I wish some people had used it earlier :/
  23. Ok so I missed that. But it's strange because I said yes to all the propositions he has done... But it shouldn't be so tricky to flirt with someone >_<
  24. Palpatine and the Empire in general have the reputation to consider aliens like animals and slaves. But Palpatine liked he ones who could serve him and who could be useful to him. Maul was a tool for him and was powerful, so he didn't care if he was an alien. And Thrawn, well, Palpatine is intelligent enough to understand that it's better to keep that genius with him than against him. But he didn't like to "show" him and Thrawn was working in the Unknown regions far from the others. Both were happy with that.
  25. It's even more frustrating, no? once you get your romance, you can flirt with a lot of guys but you CAN'T say yes to them because it would ruin your romance. Raaaah! I just hope that Bioware will notice all these topics about "we need equality between female and male romances/flirts" and that they will add more flirts for women in the future. And I mean, not only women/women -_-
