  1. So I bought the Trickster with one character, then logged into another and opened my collections page, then paid 400 odd cartel coins to unlock it. The issue is, I can't seem to claim it. Hovering over the button now, it says that I've added this item to my collection from another character, and that I can purchase the ability for all characters on my account to use this item... but I just did that. The button to add it to my inventory is greyed out and says "you do not have permission to reclaim this item". This character I'm trying to give the mount to already has a few speeders as well as speeder pilotting II, or whatever the skill is called, so being underleveled is definitely not the issue. So what gives? It isn't listed with my other mounts, and I sure as heck am not paying to do it again... what can I do?
  2. I do believe you're missing the point of the thread, sir. Your explanation, while true and valid, is not very useful in these kinds of discussions. See, while "because George Lucas made it that way" is technically the actual answer to this (and essentially every other) question about SW canon, it does nothing to satisfy to person who asked it. For example: Why do Zabraks have facial tattoos? a) Another of the traits that made Zabrak instantly recognizable were their facial tattoos, which were made up of thin lines received during their rite of passage. These could symbolize many things, including but not limited to family lineage, place of birth, or even a design that reflected their individual personalities. b) George Lucas thought it looked cool for this villain in that one really bad movie. Both are correct, but only one is any fun or helps the discussion along in any way
  3. a) This is not how binary star formations are made. b) This is not how stars are made.
  4. OP, I think you're jumping to some pretty out there conclusions based on Hater's post: How does any of that scream "you're getting entire new races"? If anything, it seems to imply something far more underwhelming. You think there are suddenly going to be entire extra races to customize? Even with the limited features we have for customization already, that's a HUGE amount of work (not to mention if they decide to voice them differently). And that's not counting all the gear they'd have to re-tailor to fit all these weirdly shaped bodies. Sorry OP, but I don't think you're getting new races with the legacy system. Your idea that "it must be something worthwhile, given that we're leveling and gaining XP in the system" is refuted by the existence of achievements in WoW. Just because they make us grind for it, doesn't mean it's anything worthwhile
  5. Two problems which solve each other. 1. So if you wear certain helms when you have chest pieces with hoods, the hoods are disabled, presumably due to some clipping issues. This is silly, as it's a huge part of the star wars look (especially for sith) to have a helm/hood combo. 2. While there is a "hide/show headgear" option (thank you devs), there is no "hide/show hood" option. As some people love hoods and some people hate having them up and covering their character, there needs to be a hood toggle. Given the existence of problem 1, this problem also existing makes absolutely no sense. Solution: Simply give us a hood toggle that is effective for all chest pieces with hoods at all times. Since our hoods are forced to be hidden at times, it cannot be said that there are tech issues with implementing this idea. Give us a hood toggle and people who don't mind helmet clipping with hoods can have them up, people who hate the clipping can have them down, and people with no helmets but pretty faces can show or hide said face at their pleasure. I love you devs, and you've made a crazy good game here, but this is a head-scratcher
  6. Thank you! I googled the heck out of that, and there was nothing but pre-EGA speculation Much appreciated!
  7. The description of this perk for those who upgrade their standard editions is ambiguous at best, so I was just wondering if anyone had the slightest idea of what this item actually does in game? Thanks for any help!
  8. First of all, I am not in, nor do I expect to be until very late as I redeemed on Nov 30. This is alright with me, as I'm one of those who only ever expected a day or two of early access. That said, by keeping everyone in complete darkness, Bioware has done their part to fill these forums with whining posts of no value and equal numbers of recriminating "it's just a game, loser" and "should've preordered earlier, qq" posts which are just as clogging and valueless. Instead of saying nothing, why not a simple "you will NOT get in before this date, and maybe not then" post, divided by code redemption date? This way they're not promising anything, and if things go better than they expect and they get people in before their listed date, you'll see this forum full of cookies and kittens, instead of awash ankle deep in bile and vitriol as it so often is now. This would also let people schedule their lives a bit better, as we all know people take time off work for launches like these, and are currently unable to do so since they've no information (wish I could afford that too ) This could also stave off page after page of "are you in yet?" threads, and replace them with actual game discussion. Yes, if people still didn't get in by their "not before" date, you would have roving packs of baboons rampant on these forums, but they would at least be smaller packs, and we would at least have a short reprieve from the not-so-good environment we've got going now. Lastly, kudos to Bioware. Launches are crazy stressful and it's inevitable that some people will be pissed, but you guys have handled this beautifully, and for the record I think the wave system is completely necessary as staggering game entry can only lead to better quality launch for everyone. That said, keeping everyone glued to their inboxes was not the best way to implement it. Seriously though, I'm as annoyed with people freaking out about this as all of you are, but let's cool it with the "cry more, noob" posts dissing people who didn't preorder early enough. They're not constructive, and whiners are always going to whine, so how about we don't go down to that level?
