  1. but... the volatile lightsaber pulse effect looks much better when 2handed guardian gripped. It's really quite, understated in the juggernaut 'rested' pose.
  2. I know you mentioned pve at the top, but at the end you were talking a bit pvp. I'd put the point in accuracy for our white attacks more than anything else. I don't know about you but I don't have much more than whatever is 'basic' for accuracy (atm I'm sitting in full Campaign gear, so not BiS, but still pretty good by my reckoning). Points 1 and 2 are both good, like you I find 3 and 4 to be of dubious value, saber ward is 100% successful in the first 2 seconds and my retaliation is practically always up anyway. Is the reduced cool down of 1.5 seconds really going to make a difference to anything? My gut feeling is no. I don't see much value in an extra 2% chance to crit with the force though. It's a minor gain at the best of circumstances imo. Accuracy I think is really quite useful in almost all situations. I think I've read somewhere that accuracy helps reduce the risk of the boss or mob to parry or deflect our attacks.
  3. I always figure that at a certain point Strength would have to be superior to Power simply because Might would gain the benefit of Mark of Power and Unnatural Might, whereas Power would only really be affected by the warrior buff.
  4. I would also really like a 2 hand stance (but don't want a republic char, I know... fussy). I got a cartel lightsaber with a pulsing weapon effect, it looks boss with that ideal 2 hand grip, but it's rather understated otherwise.
  5. You don't 'lose' damage with soresu, you just don't gain a bonus of +x%, Damage on a dummy would be worse than 'real world' simply because your rage generation is worse than what it would be because you're not taking damage which Soresu (for the moment) rewards you rage for.
  6. If by Romanceable Khem Val you mean Romanceable Zash then sign me up. I want to find out some way to give her her body back. I should imagine she'd be quite... thankful.... har har... har har harrrrr.
  7. Just a question for the powers that be, but given all the negative feedback in regards to the recent APAC announcement or even ambivalence (and relatively few indications of actual enthusiasm), how feasible would it be to provide cross server support for things like warzones or flashpoints etc, etc? I am one of the APAC community but I can understand if a part of the reason for your decision is fiscal. However, there are many issues that lead to the current state in Australia and the Pacific that's a bit beyond the scope of this thread (and I'm hardly an expert), so I was wondering if not cross server support would help fix the solution and not unnecessarily antagonize the player base? Cheers.
  8. To be brutally honest, I can not emphasize just how strongly I disagree with the OP. For one, the Imperial Agent is an Imperial agent. For the sake of class/factional balance the Imperial agent would have to stay where is. As the OP suggests, tt might be interesting if it's class story in a future expansion actually meant some cloak and dagger shenanigans in the SIS, but for an 'actual factional swap? No way.
  9. While /signed, I don't really think that RoTHC is a real full blooded expansion. What is a real full blooded expansion? I have no idea, but while I expect meaty content with it, I doubt meaty content would fit in such a cheap expansion cost given the amount of expense they surely have gone through getting voiced as it is. Also, the time factor.
  10. Because the midichlorian thing was the brainchild of The Man himself. It would be like if you were a Cerberus agent and tried to argue against the doctrine of The Man, Mr. Martin Sheen aka The Illusive Man. It just isn't going to happen.
  11. This is all very good, but the Empire winning was despite player agency. It was all in yesteryear before our characters came to the fore. I would hope that in Rothc, meaningful strides occur pro-Empire for the sake of narrative. It's all very well if Empire players initially take Corellia, but to paraphrase my Wrath when informed that Republic has taken it back, 'da***?'
  12. I do have a question though; is Sith fratricide really all that prevalent through the run of the mill? The Dark Council may have overall command, but do they actually exercise it? The ones who did specifically intrude (and I think it was Darth Jadus who was the primary one) were executed or imprisoned, but other than these cases, it seems rather isolationist. Even if Wrath or Nox was secretly plotting against their master (...), for most of the storyline they seemed eager to tow the party line; aka, that of victory. As long as the master retains the respect of their apprentice, the chain is effectively formalized. Even in the case of a break, it seems rare that it would involve the wholesale slaughter of their assets (the Empire's assets) with the exception of Darth Jadus and Thanaton's. The losses of Darth Baras' as another example is, if memory serves, fairly light, because Darth Baras' assets are primarily intelligence assets. Darth Thanaton may have called for the complete destruction of Darth Zash's assets following her death, but due to the responses of at the end of the SI storyline, it seemed unlikely to have happened, and Thanaton seemed to have expelled the majority of his resources combating the threat of Nox.
  13. Why would the Emperor make the next Wrath 'immortal' if the last one rebelled against him? Seems a bit... problematic to want to just 'go through with it.' If the Emperor gave Wrath an excellent dental plan however... I thought Baras was a lot more difficult than Thanaton or whatever his name is, force push and then force leap and then his attack or dropped me the first 3 or 4 times he did it or something and made me cry like a little ***** the first time he did it to me, the other 2 or 3 times just made me frustrated because I knew he was going to do it and he still schooled me. I actually needed stims to fight him.
  14. First of all, hyperbole doesn't prove your point. I'm on this forum too and yet I wont unsub. However, I do agree with you on the lag issue. But there is no other solution other than to say pretty much: "Don't worry about it Bioware!" which kinda makes it sound like we're whinging bastards in the first place. Truth to be told, their decision to merge with the US is one that I don't want to happen, I'd much rather EA actually do some advertising in the Asian market to generate some interest that way! I got sick in tired of trying to play wow back when I was getting 400ping or something, I don't want to go through the same process yet again if at all possible. I'd rather no change whatsoever.
  15. I think the problem with DS choices is that the writers think that dark side is being simply a bully (although frequently they're amusing or bad ***). They are out to get power for themselves but they seem to kick over everyone on their way, they don't tend to try and think in the longterm view.
  16. In my opinion, against single targets we're golden, unless someone massively outgears me, I should have no problem maintaining threat, or don't have in my experience. Aoe tanking is a massive pain in the *** though, I feel like I depend upon Smash with the 4 stacks of sunder and sweeping strike and even then it's quite difficult. Pitty most of the game seems to be mobs though. I don't know why you wouldn't take Crushing Blow though, it's one of our highest damage abilities, is a rage dump, and has a secondary effect on 5 sundered targets which is a nice aoe threat ability.
  17. The problem I thought with the darkside choices is that more often than not they're choices to be a bully with no real thought behind them. I went mainly darkside but tried to make as many 'rational' decisions as possible. In the end, I was almost full darkside but I think I was only level 4 out of 5 (or whatever). Star wars seems to be full on the story's of darkside going light but not much of it the other way around (other than the prequel trilogy I suppose). My problem with saying stuff like: 'embraces the darkside but never actually lets it consume him' is because people who can do that in the mythos are pretty damn rare, I think Revan and Joilee are the only ones lol
