  1. Do we have any LGBT Guilds starting up on The Harbinger now that we've had some character transfers go through? I'd seen so many on JJT and was hoping I'd get the chance to move there but it looks like it's more likely to be the other way around. Just want some like minded people to hang and game with! It's getting lonely out in the cold all alone!
  2. ^ I couldn't tell if that quote was serious or not, but either way it made me uncomfortable.
  3. Awww we got love for our Ace brothers and sisters here too!
  4. That depends on who is saying it and how. Much as gay men will sometimes refer to themselves as **** or queens or flamers some gay women refer to themselves as dykes. You see it in many sub-cultures and minorities, the reclaiming of words that were used in a derogatory fashion. I like the term dyke because to me it feels a little bit butch and a little bit playful and a little bit in your face, whereas lesbian feels too clinical to me.
  5. Nah you identify as however you want to identify. That's why a lot of people also prefer to label themselves as 'queer' rather than gay or bi or lesbian. Basically it's whatever you feel fits you, or whatever you are most comfortable with. Personally my preferred label is 'dyke' with lesbian as my second. Technically there isn't really a difference in the definition but more the feel of the word.
  6. Mostly it's just a style choice but a lot of people use it because they feel there is more than just two genders.
  7. It's mostly just a way of saying you find people all along the gender fluidity line attractive whether they be male, female, mtf, ftm, butch, femme, male identified female or female identified male. I specify attraction because I assume a difference between pansexual and panromantic.
  8. Dyke checking in! Stranded on The Harbinger with no love and wishing that I'd chosen JJT! Got any LGBTQ Guilds around looking for a casual player? It's awful lonely out in the cold. As for why we might like LGBTQ focused guilds? Personally I get really tired of having to constantly explain to people that 'gay' is not an acceptable replacement for 'lame' and it's really nice to have people around who truly understand your experience of the world. And even if there isn't the hate having someone say "Oh you're a lesbian? That's so cool!" can get tiring after awhile. I may be cool but it's not cause I'm gay. Fitheach on The Harbinger and happy for an invite.
