  1. And some characters are presumably actual traitors: Dark Jedi who are only not Sith because no one's made them an offer. Light Sith who would really like to join a band of force-users in which homicide isn't a primary tool of advancement. Troopers who wonder if certain characters in their class story had a point after all. (Even interfaction travel would make sense for appropriate classes: Bounty Hunters, Smugglers, Agents on covert missions. But that would presumably be hard to balance for gameplay.) I wonder what the effect would be if interfaction trade were permitted, but selling materiel to the Empire side gave dark side points and to the Republic gave light. (Though maybe it should be the reverse: "I drained those santimonious philosophers of ten times what that was worth! A few more transactions like this and we won't *have* to invade.")
  2. Huh-- now I have to see if it's possible for an Agent to stealth past him.
  3. Generally agree with a lot of the comments here: it's a relaxing change of pace and fun for what it is, and I don't really demand a more free-form space combat simulator. But I'd like to see more variety in missions.
  4. Republic: Raskar, disappointed idealist Smuggler (he prefers "free trader"). He fought in the last war, and learned there what Republic ideals were worth. From now on, credits only. (Known to hang with a Trooper named Thalassa he met in a war zone he got grounded in, who reminds him a bit of his younger self. She'll learn-- though half of him wishes she didn't have to.) Empire: Flandry, pessimistic but dedicated Operative. Believes the conquests of the last war are, long term, unsustainable. But while inevitable, their loss means death and suffering on a horrific scale. (And the end of his own luxurious perquisites.) So he's committed to shoring up the Empire as long as possible-- ideally, for his lifetime. Any retail betrayal or brutality is justified to stop entire worlds from being set on fire. Again. (Something he considers hampered by the existence of a ruling class that views gratuitous abuse of power to be an end in itself. Not that he goes around advertising that last to Sith lords. :-) ) (posted in both threads, just in case. :-) )
