  1. The problem with this is that on high population servers you really dont need a LFD tool, but thats because there is so many people that there really isn't a social atmosphere anyway. And on low population servers where they actually need an LFD tool sure there is a social atmosphere but alot of the times that just means cool kids table. some people get to participate, other don't. im lucky enough to be part of the cool kids table and can pretty much log on whenever i want and get groups, but you have to understand what its like for the people not part of the cool kids table on the low pop servers, just sitting there all day lfg, not very fun i'd imagine.
  2. Just pointing this out there but once people know what the best dps specs/rotations/priorities are it wont be too hard to spend 2 minutes in a dungeon/raid watching the abilities someone else is doing or how they are playing to tell if they are know what they are doing or not. Saying you dont want dps meters because you dont want people to tell you you are bad is not going to help. I agree that the level of elitism that can come with recount type addons can be too much, but then the people that dont want those type of addons because it keeps them out of doing high level content need to realize that you dont belong in the high level content. If 8 people performing the same as you are can't down encounters then you shouldn't be there. Basically if you don't want recount and you want to do easy content and not have people yell at you for sucking, i sympathize with you, but if you want to do content meant for people maximizing their class then i have no sympathy for you.
  3. 1. To all the people saying macros are a crutch or macros are for noobs. If macros are a crutch rebinding keys is a crutch, heck key bindings at all is a crutch. you should have to open you spell book and pick your spells out of that and click cast them from there. 2. To all the people who say macros will make the game unfair for them becuase they dont want to use them. As it has already been stated many many times there are already 3rd party programs and hardware options that allow players to use macros, so it stands for more reason that enabling macros as a base feature of the game, that everyone has access to, would do more to make it fair that not allowing them would. 3. BW has already said things like addon support, macro support and a combat log are coming so arguing about this stuff has little point. 4. We have an emergency alert in detention block AA-23. 5. to the jawa troll in here, +1 internets to you my friend, simply because i truly didnt see what you were until like page 7, very well played my friend, well played.
  4. 1. The major draw point of MMOs for most players is getting better gear for your toons. When you have he best possible gear the game dulls quickly for most ppl and they quit until new content/tiers come out. So having two different sets of gear to go after that are both needed to be the best in different areas makes the game last longer for the majority of the players. 2. If you could get the best possible gear for PVPing out of PVE everyone here would be complaining about how its so unfair the people in the good PVE guilds with no lives come in and destroy them with their superior gear. If you try to solve this by making the best possible PVP gear easily obtainable you run into problem 1. It's this this circle why there has to be two different sets of gear, one better for PVE and one better for PVP. An "expertise" stat is just the easy way to make one set of gear clearly better for PVP.
