  1. This.... Its simple and allows users to customize their appearance, which is what a lot of people who play MMO's like to do! I have been with a few groups where people unfortunately rather roll in crap low gear because they prefer the appearance. Also IMO, when selecting a player there should be an actual button to inspect gear just below the purple group button. My 2c

I think that more depends of what style of healing you want to do. Some are better at PvE type scenarios etc, others are better at PvP. Some to Hot others Burst heal. I personally do not know a definitive 'best healer' others might, I am not sure.
  3. Which server is better is a matter of preference. Play the other for a while, see how the community and active times are and then you should know what you need to do. If you are not enjoying the server you are on, it never hurts to try another.
  4. Yeah, the guild system still has a ways to come... Alliance, options would be a welcome feature, and to that note war options also I can see why guilds like TOG would want the limit increase or at least options to merge multiple guilds into one alliance. The biggest issue here is that guild membership is character based rather than account based and thus is not efficient meaning 1 individual may have to become a member of one guild up to 6 or so times depending on alts etc.. having guild memberships based on account would ease management for anyone who runs a guild especially the bigger ones like mentioned above as it would account for one member as one member, not one character as one member, and doing this would also mitigate the ability of people looking to use/abuse communities like these as they would not easily be able to hop between multiple guilds at once.. The only separation of this really should be factional.. so if you join a guild on one imperial character, all your imperial characters would be associated with that guild, but your republic characters would not, and could join another republic based guild. All in all, I agree an expansion does need to be done, either that or a more efficient method of guild management needs to be incorporated.
  5. They have sent out the emails for APAC users to be able to switch servers.. Problem is for a good many people it currently is not working now, so once they iron out the bugs with us APAC users, I am sure it will be made available to everyone else, but I dare say expect a fee.

Operative would be the advanced class you would be after. The Cover/Crouch system is more vital to Snipers as most of their skills orientate around being in cover. The Operative class is more mobile but you still can use the cover system if you want, unlike the sniper where as mentioned most of his skills do not require you to be in cover to activate the skills.
  7. Simple solution... REVERT ALLLLL THE CHANGES! Problemo solved? The moral of this story? Printed guides for MMORPG'S have a shelf life of a couple patches. But honestly, you cannot come onto an MMORPG forum proclaiming your 'concern' over the limited shelf life of your printed guide and also claim to not be new at MMORPG's and expect not to have every troll and his dog not board the flame wagon. You learnt your lesson.. Google > Printed guides
  8. Yeah... the new look lacks defining areas, as mentioned above it is hard to immediately read though with anything you do adjust but that's is bad design. When someone views an information site they should immediately be able to see one area/section from the next without having to draw imaginary lines in their heads. All in all it looks and feels cheap and nasty. Something you would expect from a design grad student not from a multi million dollar online game.
  9. Go try World of Warcraft.. from what I have heard you will find the updates here a lot more appeasing.
  10. CTRL-U should remove all of the interface. Best of luck..
  11. I do not understand why people have such a whine over this sort of thing.. Honestly, its quite funny how full on some people are like its the last time they will play ever, and BW are interrupting this time... Watch out the maintenance server ops, I mean trolls are out to piss everyone off by fixing problems and ensuring that things are operating correctly. Look, Australian player here.. Servers go down around 7pm on Tuesday nights for me.. You could very well say this is Prime Time for my region and yeah, it basically means no SWTOR for me/us on those nights.. But, No worries!... I got some ground breaking solutions for everyone who is effected by the maintenance trolls.. Play something else. Watch a movie. Go out. Read. Go to bed early. <insert other non SWTOR related activities here> I hope this is not too much for those people to handle. Take care! I smell 1.2 not far off.. could very well be that also!
  12. Do you enjoy doing it? The answer to this is with you.. Quests are there to be done, some are compulsory, others are not and can be abandond. What you do is up to you, and only you. What others think is not equal to how you enjoy playing the game.. You could be a completionist, while someone on here is not into story stuff at all and thinks all quests are a waste of time and wishes for instant 50's. It comes down to personal opinion. Myself I do most quests, as I enjoy the content.
  13. From what I have read and observed, grouping with different level people can affect the XP from individual kills. Someone actually did a write up on the penalties here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=74836 have not really seen anything official though..
  14. A video card with at least 3x output signal connections, or additional video cards to meet your requirement. The relative video card drivers. Some time to read over the options and then select how you want it to work. Personally I use SWTOR in Full Screen (windowed) Granted it is plays on one screen, but that is all I need and the game does not directly support more then one display screen like other games like World in Conflict or a flight sim where the game(s) could actually directly utilize multiple screens to independently display things like maps/controls on the extra screen(s). It is not that hard once you have the hardware connected and installed. It is just a matter of going over the various options to find what works best for you Good luck!
