  1. False. Make a new character and test the numbers
  2. What with the hostility? Jesus, the op has made completely valid points and done so in a very concise way. When a game stops challenging the player, it ceases to be a game. I understand that is an incredibly vague statement and I understand there are in fact activities that do challenge players in this game. However this is an integral part of the game and one that BW is pushing for new players to see, and like it or not, the companions are indeed over-tuned. There is absolutely zero threat or engagement for the player when encountering anything that isn't a world boss where a companion Is available, that is a problem.
  3. You realize pve progression is directly tied to the gear it rewards. The pvp stat exists exclusively to seperate the two from of end game gear. Tiered pve progression requires stat walls that are overcome via gear, participation has to be rewarded properly or the incentives become botched for either end game activity
  4. The best compromise they can make is changing expertise, granting every character 1800 expertise as a base line stat and having end game pvp gear provide the remaining value to reach 2018 just like how bolster functions in WZs
  5. No one is saying fun should never not be the focal point. But people are being sensational when they site other games that have "suffered the consequences" for a bad decision. This is not going to break the game, this is not going to cause a mass exodus of players and all things considered this is going to add more activities worth doing than otherwise. Literally the only arguments that are being made here are "I don't want to deal with mob aggro" "My levels are mine and should not be taken away from me" "my idea of fun in swtor is one shotting greys" "it's immersion breaking" If you value those above, no one can take them from you, it is entirely subjective to the individual, but you can't possibly think those reasons hold any actual water man. I'm willing to bet that a good majority of players are not even giving a ****, not coming on the forums complaining, and when kotfe goes live, will be completely and utterly indifferent about the whole thing. And you are right BW does know how important it is to try and cater to the desires of as many players as possible, within reason.... this is also the forum community that had a vocal bunch demanding the ability to respect your base class....... No one is going to see eye to eye on this but there are realistically more fair compromises for those that are against the sync option, that they can still enjoy the game, as opposed to not having the sync system, effectively hamstringing BW in the long run. And let's be completely honest here, those that want the system to be optional are the same players that are likley going to ignore it completely anyways.
  6. No it really wont. If you think the idea is good, end game will not change your mind in any way
  7. Ones fun factor is entirely subjective. The point however is that somewhere down the line players should stop and think for a second, what is the point of an acheivment when the the game is not challenging the player. Let's ignore the fact that lvl 65 will still steam roll over the mobs regardless, at what point have players come to expect there version of fun should come at the expense of the direction the game devs want to take? look back at my previous comment regarding the absolute importance of consistency and how allowing players the option to chose to enable this feature will only serve to convolute the entire process. You can still have your fun, it is not going anywhere, only now you will be slightly inconvenienced while players that actually want to quest and complete stuff of various level ranges can now do so together with mutual benefits. This system is not creating an arbitrary difficulty as some have eluded to, it is in fact keeping most of the games various locations relevant and allowing BW that much more freedom moving forward.
  8. This game absolutely does not require a gaming mouse, unless you are newer to mmos of this kind, massivle multi button mice were not the norm when many players managed 26 hot keys back around the BC Era of wow. It's second nature to many players. At most you have 2 full bars of unique abilties that all serve a purpose, and roughly half of another bar for self buffs, big CDs, cc break, and consumables. 1-5 qertfgvcxzb Shift + 1-5 qertfgvcxzb and maybe mouse side button 1 & 2 that is all you will ever need and it is a perfect amount. The only issue I've run into is on jugg not having an available hot key for stance dance + gaurd. There are very few redundant skills in the game.
  9. And do you feel the forced sync will now prohibit or otherwise put a stint in that fun you were having?
  10. Then you clearly haven't read anything I've posted
  11. ? 2 and a half filled action bars is bloat to someone that felt they would benefit from using a naga.....
  12. Your logic and overall mentality on the matter is so twisted and absurd I do not even know how to respond
  13. This is star wars, not real life.
