  1. No, its not. Capable players are able to do the things I listed with little rated experience. Incapable players are unable to do the things I listed regardless of how many rated games they play. They dont understand the mechanics of the game or their class (or the other classes. or how classes work against and with each other, etc.). Spending hours everyday playing a game, you eventually develop a sense in your head of the physics and mechanics. It is that way with all games.

Some people act and see what happens. These people are unable to compete at high levels in whatever said game is. You need to be able to act, know what is going to happen, and already be "acting" again.

Anyone unable to make a hard switch and be prepared for continuous hard switches with their cds, positioning, mental awareness, and just simple knowledge of the game and its mechanics, will not be able to win in rateds (at least not on this server).

Its just a matter of being a good player. Youre a good player (or at least good enough to get the job done as a ranged dps on a competent rated team, despite my dislike and opinions of the class you play) but unlike regs, a few good players cant carry a few bad players in rateds. If everyone in crits was at your skill level though, you would have a competent team that could begin to learn and give the top teams a run for their money. But you need individual skilled players to start a skilled team. Not casuals looking to be carried or just randomly casting abilities (as that is the only way they know how to play the game)..

I think about half the pain train team are pretty good players too. But they wont win any games on this server because of the other half. Regardless of how many or how much they queue for rateds. Sabotage might have a good player or two, but they might as well be into the darkness with the 8 they queue with. And the 8 they queue with will never win at a high level regardless of how well they learn to work together (unless they learn as individuals how to be a dominating player).

Into the darkness gets farmed by everyone because they run with mostly bad players on the team. Just queueing for regs or putting in the time and work to become a good player would be more helpful to that team than queueing for rateds. They are not ready to work on teamwork as they arent good enough individual players yet (and most of them are probably either incapable/untalented or unwilling to become a good enough individual player to ever be good enough for a competent rated team)

Day 1 All Star teams are much much better than teams filled with mediocre players whove been playing together for years. To have a good team, you need good individual players. All of them. Their is no room for mediocre.

It is why SB/mvp kickball teams are as good (if not better at times) than full mvp or full sb teams. Team chemistry is not as important as just having 8 good players who can act and react to the situations in the game. Teams with players that are worse than the players on the other team are going to lose. Almost every game if not all of them. Regardless of how much they play together.

Queueing for rateds with a team that has bad players on it (or even just decent players) doesnt improve the chance of winning in the future as much as people think it does.

If the original <Mawstars> team came back to the game they would beat any guild on the server (besides mvp, sb, dp, syn) in rated game one. Day one of having gear. First queue. Because they are/were simply more skilled players than all of the other guilds. (and 1 month in would beat ALL of the guilds on the server. as the rated learning curve does still exist and team chemistry is still a factor)

you sir are a god among men. i learn more from you than i do in my oxford philosophy class

  2. hey im mvp is the dominant pvp guild, not only on the bastion, but worldwide, due to the fact that their healers are much better than every other guilds healers in the world.

    i approve this message

seriously though i agree with the quan. healing is stressful and getting lazy with heals or being late on heals has game changing consequences.

P.S. I dont get why the almighty quan felt the need to make this post though

  3. All I've heard of mvp is that they got beat by casuals on PTS.

I realize PTS is not the superbowl of SWTOR PVP, but even my old ranked team of randoms has beat casuals before. Admittedly, far less often than we lost.

TLDR; losing to a good team doesn't make you good, important, or well known.

i think mvp beat casual on the pts too.... sooooooo does beating a good team mean anything?

  4. Yeah thats no rumor its fact and they did it while I am MVP outgeared them. But im fairly certain that the top 5 teams from POT5 could beat the best team from the bastion

we beat eachother on the pts... and the bastion has many other teams that give us competition. sounds like pot5 just has casual. too bad

  5. Perpendicular best pt

  6. From what i've seen and heard it seems like most every other server is having rated q pop problems. Bastion definitely does not have that problem at all so there's no way any Bastion rated guilds are gonna transfer somewhere else. Ya'll should just come here so we can have even more of a circle jerk rated scene
  7. Mr. Scold Humperdinkle how are you doing this fine day or evening...your statement i can't really buy, here's the reason i feel different..

basically according to your statement all the pubs and imps that come on fourms and brag i have a 3k-4k rwz ratings..we are the best top 20 swtor in the world etc..what makes you guys the best PVP'ers is because yall know how to fight in a group and not hold your own alone if a challenge present itself to you..

i use me for this example..i play a deception sin..we all can agree basically in that spec our openers can be brutal once we spike you because we have alot of options from there to burst you down..so the imbalance im guessing is because sins use stealth and some classes dont so they will have a tactical advantage in terms..

ok if i open up on a sage for example..if he running tk spec once i follow up with maul..usually his bubble will pop stunning me giving him time to force sprint away..now understand my class is most effective within 4-10 meters where a sage have 35 meters to work around..

if he running full balance if i spike him and follow up with maul if i get a crit for 9k (which is very rare) he still have options to get away..mainly eat the spike take the maul..use a stun force sprint away from me..follow up with force slow and spam tk throw which slows you on every tick..

i have a few options to get to him..i can force shroud which only last 3 seconds.if i do start to close in he can cast force slow spam tk throw..if he want hit me with sever force which will freeze me for 2 seconds he should do this when his force sprint is up..rinse and repeat..

i can go on but you get the general idea..if i open up on a slinger they have a kb that put a root on me then they can burn me down from range..a jugg can force push me off of him..mara can stealth out force choke me and he have defensive cd's or mezz me..commandos even have options to get away from me..

i gave a few examples i'm sure they are others..so where is the imbalance at toward a sin when every class can actually avoid..the imbalance comes from human error meaning a class is only imbalanced by the person who is playing it..alot of people dont think about this when a sin opens up on them alot goes into panic mode and forget the basics..

is this from the classes being imbalanced..it's the human factor of being caught by surprise not knowing what to do in the situation..so calling the classes imbalanced towards each other is kind of false..what makes a class imbalanced is the person behind the toon..you can have the best gear and play the best fotm but if you dont know how to play the class you gonna fail..

basically this is how i feel claases are not imbalanced toward 1 vs 1 battles..cause every class pretty much have a counter to other classes..it is the person playing the class to know this cause the toon cant play itself..it been like this with every other mmo around..it will always be around the human factor which determines it all..

think i went to long on this post so im done..now Mr.Scold i throw the ball in your court enlighten me..

Wayyyyyyu tldr. Why would you spend so much time writing something no one cares about.
