  1. POTENTIAL SPOILERS IN REPLY BELOW: Yeah I agree with that to a point. My only concern would be the amount of work needed to create a whole new faction and then have that faction be able to compete with the Republic and Empire. Also how that faction would fit in storywise. We have the alliance but it only controls one planet so it would be pretty hard to compete with the current sides. Also every time a new faction comes into the game it gets crushed pretty quick with the exception of zakkul which took awhile. I do agree that new classes would have to take place after the games current events to make any sense. But the only "faction" that has had any long time success is the Mandalorians. So maybe it could be in relation to them? Maybe: Mandalorian Pathfinder. As a Mandalorian Pathfinder your job is to recover lost Mandalorian technology, bring Mandalorians who have lost their way back into the fold and to discover ways the Mandalorians can rise again. Along the way you discover clues that points to a lost Mandalorian faction who have remained in the shadows for over 300 years staying true and loyal to the one they believe will return and bring about the salvation of the Mandalorian people. They are known as the Mandalorian clan Ordo. Mandalorian Warrior. As a Mandalorian Warrior you have been born and raised to follow the Mandalorian creed. Your entire clan was wiped out just after your birth and so you are clanless. When you come of age you will have to prove yourself and establish your own clan. Along your journey you will be sent into the thickest battles to gain glory and honour. Fail and you will fall into nothingness. Succeed and you could challenge Mandalore herself for the title and chance to rule all Mandalorians. Either way I think we for sure need some new classes in the game.
  2. I'm not sure what effect new classes would have on combat styles? You could have a new class with any combat style that follows the story like we have currently. Example, you can't have jedi combat style as a trooper and visa versa. This game has been out for 10 years and we still have the same basic classes in the game. Other games add in new classes over time but this one seems to be going stale in that regard. New classes would bring a fresh taste to the game.
  3. I know this has probs been said many times but the game needs new classes to play. It's been more than 10 years now and we still have the same classes in the game. Other MMOs add in more over time and its contributed to their survival. Take... eugghhhh "WoW" 🤮 for example. That game has been running since SWG was a thing. I've played this game to death an have about 40 characters where I have played in different ways, male an female, good an bad etc. and there really needs to be more. For example: Republic Officer - After the events of (spoiler free) Legacy of the Sith, crime is ripe in the Republic. The Jedi have been pre-occupied with fighting against the empire so have had little time to deal with internal conflicts and criminal activity. That falls to you. You are a newly recruited Republic Officer tasked to put a stop to the recent rise in organised crime across the capital world of Coruscant (starter planet). Little do you know you are about to uncover a conspiracy which will lead you to the far reaches of the galaxy (excuse for exploration). Companions could be like someone displaced by the war, a doctor trying to heal those in need, a merchant trying to profit from the conflict, maybe an ex jedi who left the order, a Republic soldier and maybe like a beast rider from iziz Imperial Reclamation Service - Many Sith artefacts have been scattered after the conflict with the eternal empire and you have been tasked to track them down, reclaim them and re-secure them in the vault below Kass city. To begin with you need a complete list of what was looted during the invasion so you need to visit the different sites across Dromund Kass where the artefacts were stored (starter planet). This will also allow you to investigate who may have taken them and give clues to where they may be now. This will take you across the galaxy as you try to reclaim what was lost and along the way discover something about yourself. Companions could be a Sith assigned to watch you work and give you orders/direction along the way, an Imperial tracker/analyser droid, an engineer who is capable of fixing or building almost anything, an ex Jedi who has been corrupted by a stolen holocron and gets training from the Sith along your journey and a Sith trooper from Revans era who was frozen in carbonite for the last 300 years. I mean these are just two examples but there are so many possibilities that could breath new life into this game. I know it would be a lot of work but more classes would breath another 10 years of life into the game and attract more players. You could even time jump and play as the child of the original classes and almost have a "phase 2" for the game that begins after all the events of the current content. The possibilities are literally endless. I um... Have a lot of fan writing that I have done for stories and characters around this game if anyone is interested.
  4. Connection just died for anyone else? got a 6k ping then a disconnect
  5. Then go play guild wars instead of spouting lies not based on fact. https://vulkk.com/2020/07/21/swtor-roadmap-for-second-half-of-2020-revealed/ "SWTOR Update 6.2 – Echoes of Revenge Originally planned for this Summer, the next story content update to SWTOR is now pushed way back to the “Holidays” of 2020. The Echoes of Revenge is actually being developed on track and is nearly done. As Charles Boyd explained on the stream, the team needs this extra time to polish things and make sure the content is up to our expectations. While he was saying these stock phrases, I remembered that he was saying them when I asked him when Kira and Scourge’s return will happen. This was in an interview I did with him more than two years ago. The initial delay for 6.2 was because it was literally impossible to record the voice-over as all recording studios were closed down for the better part of the Spring season. At the time of this publication the voices recording is wrapping up. The good news is that 6.2 will be “two story updates in one”. The devs did not clarify that further, unfortunately."
  6. "Warzone and Matchmaking Changes - Numerous improvements have been made to increase the frequency of Warzone matches and ensure that all matches are more fun and engaging." I had high hopes... But the opposite has happened. They are not fun anymore. They are PAIN - PURE UNENDING DYING PAINFUL PAIN... Sure we get into game a little bit faster but the odds are SO STACKED now... No matter what I do or how I play I will always be on a loosing team where every member is at the bottom of the scoreboard. Warzones now seem to be dominated by stealthers who seem to have 20 different ways to stun you. Resolve? What's resolve anymore? The lesser wait time are great but this whole mixed faction thing? I hate it. HAAAATE IT!!! Could the classes not be limited? E.g. only 1/2 assassins/sages allowed each game for each side? Last warzone match I had had 4 stealthers on the other team. A mix of REP and IMP. Taking a turret was IMPOSSIBLE. To begin with you have the stun from stealth just stopping you from doing anything, THEN his buddy comes along becomes visible and takes the turret from under your nose while the first guy is keeping you stunned... My resolve? Is that still a thing? Because it weren't bloody working... We need the warzones to be structured again. Almost like an ops group but instead of 2 healers 4 dps 2 tanks it should look for professions e.g. 2 sentinels 2 sages 2 vanguards etc. Have a limit on the stealthers… or at least cap that ANNOYING stun... OR even just fix resolve...
  7. This has probs been said before but... I want to be able to see my characters progress down their own story line. Not have this all in one where you play the story on one character and it's exactly the same on another. I have 24 characters and I have played each story to death. The last we got was on Rishi and after that it was this whole eternal empire thing where we all did the same things... again... and again... oh and again. it doesn't matter if your a Jedi or a bounty hunter, a smuggler or a Sith. It all ends up the same. Not good. Multiplayer content, on my server at least, can't be played because there is not enough people. There was 13 people on the imperial fleet tonight and 4 of them was spamming "1mil creds for $5.99"... I can't afford to move my 24 characters to be able to play with other people and to be honest I shouldn't have to. I have paid for this game since launch and it is getting to the point where I can't play it anymore because I need other people to do certain missions. Also what I think would be awesome is new classes. Something to breath new life into this game. Maybe Imperial trooper, SiS agent, Royal/Senate guard, Imperial/Republic fleet commander or maybe even a neutral class like a Grey Jedi or Hutt cartel crime lord. Something to give old players a reason to keep playing and/or come back to the game and more content for new players to churn through. SWG was a bloody brilliant game but it died because SOE did not listen to fans and just did what they wanted. Please please PLEASE do not go down that route. Listen to what people are asking for, commit to it and continue this game. Do NOT let it die. I think the first thing is to fix the population and do a server merge. At least then we can all play this new content that you are comming out with over this year. This game used to be awesome. It can be again...
