  1. I've been focusing on the red ones. They won't infect me.
  2. I'm on Taris trying to do Catalyst and NON of the red raks will infect me. I've tried everything to get infected, like letting them hit me (and kill me), and setting my companion on passive. Either I'm doing something horribly wrong or the mission is bugged.
  3. Okay, I've tried letting them hit me, setting my companion to passive, and literally allowing myself to die. They will not infect me. Is there a certian one I'm supposed to kill or something? Right now I feel like I'm just grinding for XP.
  4. I'm on Taris and my Consolar is stuck on Catalyst. I've killed a TON of those red raks by the heroic area and none of them have infected me. It's getting boring. How am I supposed t finish this mission? Is it bugged?
  5. geez, that's a lot of money. I'll have to really think about it. Is there a graphics card that will work but is more affordable?
  6. Alright, I just googled it...couldn't find any external RAM. And I don't have a ton of money to pay someone to upgrade everything for me. Is there an alternative, so am I just stuck?
  7. Alright, I'll get some more RAM, too. I actually know a guy who uses an external video card for his laptop and it runs his games fine. Problem is I don't know what model it it, or even if it is still available. So 8 Gigs (which sounds like overkill to me) sounds like my best bet...good-ee. I'm getting tired of spending money on this system.
  8. Oh, and I have 4 gigs of RAM and my processor is a quad. Seems to me like I have enough RAM. The biggest issue I see is the rendering. TOR is extremely graphics heavy. I generally don't have issues running STO, unless the instance I'm in is extremely populated.
  9. I have an Express card slot, and my dedicated card is an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250. It *does* run the game, but I have it on the lowest possible settings and there's still a lot of lag. I don't have $700 for a new desktop system, by the way. So an external really is my best bet.
  10. So what external do I need? It's hard to tell which does what.
