I'm sure this has been suggested before, but i really feel this would be great if it was implemented, seeing how jedi/sith have a more reliance on the light/dark side points. So i've had my knight for quite a while, I leveled him with the dark side options because I just felt like a Jedi thats fallen from grace just sounds awesome. I customized his outfit to kinda look jedi, but its more on the dark side look. I got him a nice Red color crystal and what not. But...most of his moveset is still of course light side attributed. Bladestorm has a bell like sound to it, its also blue, etc. There are other moves that look a little more light sidish. This isn't a gamebreaker, but it would be kinda cool in my opinion.

I'm leveling a guardian at the moment, and went with focus. So far its a great spec because the leveling phase is just mobs. I dont see focus spec'd guardians in 50+ flashpoints and ops. So im guessing when i hit that point i switch over to vigilance. yay or nay?

So, cartel packs are now not even worth the gamble.
RICKTHELEGEND replied to Greenify's topic in General Discussion
Question. How much money is invested in order to hit legend status? (lets remove the strategy of buying off the GTN) Because from time to time when i have a little something extra from my job I sometimes buy myself a pack. Usually it comes with a rep item. But i have not even gotten close to hitting friend status (im on the second tier from the bottom i believe). How in the world people can invest so much on a gambling for pixels basically if pretty baffling to me. -
its really odd to me as well. My friend is a guardian tank, and i play the heals sage. I swear i ALWAYS get at least one drop out of the 2 that are for the consular. My friend on the other hand doesnt get anything most of the time, unless they are for dps guardians. I'm saying its bad luck and all, but its kinda ridiculous with the amount we have played, and he has nothing. I'm full 69 everything at this point. Him, just here and there from the comms we get.

Remove the Valor Requirement on Crafted Battlemaster Pieces
RICKTHELEGEND replied to Cypherz's topic in General Discussion
I agree with this. it doesn't ANY time to get the specific PvE. Besides, battlemaster has been put into retirement and what not. The new requirement for the 55 pvp gear is just 55. so whats the point of keeping the minimum wear grade? -

This only made me angrier... take me back when everything was at least not as chaotic as it is now... Edit: not only have you made me angrier, but I have now developed depression, anxiety, breakouts on my skin, stomach ulcers, and IBS. Thank you OP. 2nd Edit: I truly do love this video ever since it came out. It was one of the reasons that made me enjoy the game a lot more back then, -
i laughed a little too hard at this...

Seems ppl care about playing dressup more than content...
RICKTHELEGEND replied to Philastra's topic in General Discussion
i like how people complain how there isn't enough content. seriously, we have plenty of flashpoints and Ops. Stop rushing through everything just so you can say to yourself that you did it all. Enjoy the game, go outside every once and a while, get a job, and then you won't complain about content, because you spend hours on hours on your chair playing through everything in one sitting. I was hating on the new dye system for a bit, but i realize it isn't TOO bad like everyone thought it was going to be. Sure the dye's i want are over 2 million on the GTN. Sure i hate the whole lottery system. But there are some decent looking dyes that are fairly friced on the gtn. So i'm fine with it all. -
1000 dollars spent i didn't get me black/black dye

does your mother know what you are doing with her credit card? -
I main a heals sage, and my friend mains a tank guardian. We mostly play these characters when hes on. But i have a dps alt that i enjoy alot, it's unfortunate that the queue takes almost or more than and hour to pop.

Now im just going to throw my opinion in here. I have been a major fan of this game since i subscribed back during official release. I was absolutely content with every patch. I like the expansion, it was worth the small price, and offered nice content. I PvE a lot, and i love grinding the gear, and even though some of it maybe ugly, i just strip the mods and make a look to my liking. When they introduced the dye modules, i was extremely excited. I like customizing, its just pinnacle of enjoying the character you made. I made my vanguard, bought the trench coat item (that usually belongs to smugglers) off the cartel market, added with my bowcaster, to pull off this look that i found to just fun. I gave him this look with the thought of the fallout new vegas armor that the NCR has (http://content.bethsoft.com/bsw_cms_asset/21985_2_1.jpg). The black hole helmet for the trooper just made it closer to what i dreamed of. Now they introduce the dye modules. Oh this is just going to make things better! Just need to get black dye and voila! I my NCR trooper if basically complete to being as close as it can. I was willing to spend the necessary funds that i have accumulated JUST for black dye. I assumed paints would be on the cartel market. But behold! i look at what dyes are offered on the market and realize that there are none. And that they simply make you gamble and pray that you obtain the option you desire. I then rushed to my marauder who was artifice savy. And found that the paints there, don't meet the standard. This is the only patch that i really feel disappointed about. To think that something as simple as color changing, can be used as a cash grab. its just makes me feel as a loyal customer through the ups and downs, that they are literally sc****** by, and are just trying to squeeze as much money out of us til they go belly up. I support this game still, but this just took a big hit to my passion for this game.
-
same here. everything was fine for me until this. Expansion was fine to me, content was fine. But something as simple as aesthetics and colors, being in the cash shop is just a pathetic excuse to squeeze money. I really was looking forward to this. even if it meant spending a couple bucks on some dyes that i wanted, instead of it being a gambling game. Just plain stupid.

Ugly colors for crafters, if you want nice colors...
RICKTHELEGEND replied to Grayseven's topic in General Discussion
I was hoping for a simple black and white set (I know basic as hell), but apparently it seems to be only on the market out of one of those crates that only give you 2 dyes. Needless to say, im disappointed. And usually I never really have much gripe with this game. -
well sucks that you feel that way. I really like hearing the folks who demand content as if they can pull it out of thin air. Unless you want a bugged out mission that seemed like it was delivered to us with stains of bantha poo-doo all over its title, you just got to be patient. Something a lot of people that post on the forums demanding content be placed out, seem to lack. This current patch coming out tomorrow is a focus on aesthetics, something that was called out from the beginning. As for the whole expansion thing. i will use that excuse of the cost you say isn't viable. unless you're feeling guilty about using your moms credit card or something, the price is hardly even difficult to fork over cash. The content is still quite a lot if you don't rush through it. i'm still trying to gear up a couple of the 55's i have here. These "rehashed" flashpoints actually feel new to me, mostly due to the difficulty. To be honest the market has never bothered me one bit. I see something i like, well fine i'll spend cartel coins. It's not like they are asking for your entire salary for a single set. I bought the eradicators armor, and i have just been loving it. Again patience came into effect instead of squandering all my coins the instant something is placed on the market. People just like to spend on the newest thing the instant it comes out before giving any rational thought into it. Then they come on here to complain how they feel ripped off.
-
Oh sweet, so i wasn't going mad there. I like the long hair i saw in that video. I always thought that was missing in creation. Hopefully the prices are within reason. Then i'd certainly fork over a few bucks for that.

I saw the newest trailer for game update 2.1, and the bounty hunter appeared to have a new hairstyle? Did anyone else notice that? or am I just a blind-deaf-comatose-lobotomy patient ? http://www.swtor.com/info/media/trailers/dye-modules-preview-video?intcmp=sor_bwa-mkt-t-us-hp-048

Add a new class with its own races?
RICKTHELEGEND replied to CarnagexMGDx's topic in General Discussion
Just saying this may sound op, but im sure their are things to balance my idea out. haha I think a republic "general" (open to any name that means authority) and an imperial moff (open to any name that means authority) that uses a blaster pistol and a vibro sword. Give them a play style that focuses on some buffs that are offensive, defensive, and maybe alacrity or movement speed. The way to use the buffs for the team is by placing a banner that grants the buffs withing a certain AoE range. The blaster pistol probably wont do too much in the style, only poke from range or add effects. The melee can mostly be their damage output. Have some kind of tech abilities like grenades and traps. Their focus can be like a tree that focus on group buffs or something of that matter. A tree thats more on melee. And maybe a tree thats more about tech items (grenades, traps, stuns/slows, etc) Something on the lines that make you feel like you are a leader and support an army or squad. It would feel like mon calarmari would be the main race of leadership on the republic side. Imperials would mostly be human for obvious reasons.
