  1. This happens with slicing as well. Again missing the point. Materials to craft items/failure rate is not equal to LOSING A GATHERING SKILL AND NO LONGER ABLE TO PURCHASE ITEMS. Its not about making millions of credits, but making enough to be able to purchase the Blue crafting items we cannot gather.
  2. And i understand that as well because I'm currently leveling investigation on an alt. And I have had a bit too many failures for my happiness level. But the materials I gain from that overall far out-way my losses due to me being able to craft materials from it. Blue crafts and Epics alike. Something you do Not have the ability to do as a slicer without buying materials from the GTN or hoping a guild-mate will front you the materials. I wasn't asking for sympathy, just explaining it.
  3. How so? I cant craft certain items without materials I gain from certain professions. For example... As an armortech, if i take up slicing that means I cant gain the materials from underworld trading, but enough of the necessary materials from scavenging to level it up. However to craft blues I need the materials from underworld trading that I CANT get since i took up slicing. Which i would need to purchase from the GTN. Perhaps look at the logistics before raging without any real constructive response.
  4. Ill sign off on this as well. I noticed as well that a lot of nodes are no longer available anymore. To be fair (and as a slicer since beta) it was definitely a bit too easy to just rack up credits with slicing, but the nerf went too far. Its not worth it anymore, due to missions costing as much as the gain, to the disappearance to many many nodes (and not from being used, but areas that completely are now devoid of nodes). Slicing is now a useless skill, and what those that DON'T have it don't understand is that it was necessary in order to be able to purchase items from the GTN, thus helping the economy. Taking up slicing meant you had to forfeit a skill in the hopes that you can make enough money to buy things from others, which is no longer the case. Now its simply a money sink, with very little benefit. I understand balance, but this isn't balance so much as making slicing worthless.
