  1. Any word on when the last three quests open?

     

    The one on Dromund is already up. Came up approximately 3 AM EST. As for the two on NS,its anyone's guess. My personal one would be roughly 8 AM when dailies reset, but it could very well be before then, or hell, even tomorrow.

  2. Out of all the things currently wrong with this game, this is what I want least. Tell everyone to jump when ready, when everyone is jumping, you're good to go.

     

    Also I believe this is a "suggestion box" thread. Not a "box to post threads in to make Bioware work faster on things they already said they were working on" thread.

  3. I was out doing my dailies. As a tank I can do all the 2 man dailies, they just take awhile to do. So I got to thinking, and game up with a new legacy perk.

     

    Emergency Distress Beacon:

     

    Basically, it would call all your companions to you to aid you for, say 5 mins or so. It wouldn't be able to be used in pvp of course. And the cooldown would be rather long. Say 12 hours, even maybe 24 hours or so.

     

    This would never happen.

     

    Over and over and over again Bioware has stated that they are fans for inter-player server cooperation. By doing this you would be able to solo quests which you have to go out and find other players to get in order to complete a quest, thereby eliminating the need to group with other players.

     

    In much the same way you won't see cross server LFG, you probably won't ever see anything like this implemented.

  4. Sorry if this has been said already, but I'm not going through 1k+ replies

     

    The easiest way to do this is make it to where if you want your data broadcasted, check a second box in addition to the one you already have to press for enabling the logging.

     

    In this way, it puts your data on whoever else has that box checked, and vice versa. We already basically have to do this by every individual person uploading combat logs. In this way it makes it easier and not everyone has to be on a parser or upload their logs if they don't want to. I don't really need an in game DPS meter, I'm fine with parsing outside of the game. But having everyone upload their own logs or be on the same parser is just annoying.

  5. I'm thinking they are going to make it 8 for everyone, and then make additional slots available in the shop.

     

    Think about it. Whats to stop me from making a F2P account, subbing for a month, then unsubbing just to get my extra slots? They can't very well delete the characters or make them unplayable while you aren't subbed, that just wouldn't make any sense.

     

    No, I foresee them giving everyone 8, and additional being a certain amount of Cartel coins in the shop.

  6. We can send mail to our opposing faction alts, why can't the names pop up in our "to list?? Guild and friends pop up, why can't legacy?

     

    Was just thinking about this earlier today. Several of my friends are leveling up republic characters in anticipation of the HK droid coming out soon. It seems like Bioware wants us to explore both factions and all the stories, yet this seems to be a roadblock.

     

    My guild has a opposite faction guild in which we use for alts, and unfortunately without either logging over or checking our voice channel, we can't really tell who is where.

  7. Try a PvE server or making some friends/allies. Working as intended.

     

    I commend that group tbh.

     

    No other AOE does this. It's only the guardian and jug force slow. If its working as intended, why does it only put you into combat instead of applying the force slow as well?

     

    No, try again troll. It's a bug, and one that needs fixed.

     

    Also the entire point of dailies is a quick 45 minute quest grind that people could do on their lunch break if they desired. As I said, if they were to just kill people once and then let them pass, that would be one thing. But using an exploit to be a jerk is something else entirely.

  8. For the past several days many guilds have been camping outside of the green daily quest areas not allowing people to enter.

     

    This is all fine. I don't mind being killed 4 on 1 occasionally. Hell it's why I play on a PvP server. But when the same people sit there for two hours and camp the same spot, it gets old.

     

    The medical probe revive needs to keep you out of combat the entire duration. Right now a guardian or jug can easily use their AOE force slow on the spot you died, and have it affect the player. thereby not allowing the person to enter the area or get away. The entire point in having a stealth when you revive is that stuff like this can't happen.

     

    Get rid of it.

SWTOR does a pretty good job of separating the two sides as far as questing goes, but at the same time putting the two against each other during things like world events (or at least they did for the last one). I can tell you that even when my server (Helm of Graush) actually had a fair amount of people in it, ganking was relatively low. I think I was killed 5 or 6 times on the way to 50, and usually it was by someone only a few levels higher than me, rather than a 50 killing me.

     

    When the Tatooine world event came out, that was really really fun as far as PvP goes. The first day there were massive battles in many of the daily areas. It did kind of die down towards the end, but it was still a lot of fun. The last day Empire decided to camp the guy that you turn the DNA samples into, and basically keep republic from turning anything in.

     

    So as far as my opinion goes, Bioware has done a pretty good job of PvE servers Vs. PvP. Its set up to where you can usually quest in relative peace, but at the same time, there are a few instances where you will run across the other side while leveling.

  10. Fact; Free transfers are limited. They will be charging for server transfers. Go ahead and unsub now.

     

    Fact: You're basing this on WoW.

     

    Tera has roughly the same amount of subscribers as SWTOR right now, and half the servers. Guess what? Server transfers are free during first couple of months with the game.

  11. Lets face it, the majority of us are playing on servers that are dead. One of the reasons I can see for Bioware not merging servers is because inactive people suddenly become active during new patches or events. I myself noticed over 200 people on Tatooine during the first day of the Rakghoul Plague event. Nevertheless, this should not keep Bioware from merging servers. Even with cross realm Warzones coming (if they ever do), playing on a dead server where world PvP is dead, isn't any fun.

     

    I believe that the majority of the servers should be merged, while a few low pop servers are kept up. Once this occurs transfers should be free for the first several months, so that if their merged servers experience a queue, or they don't want to deal with the population, they can move to one of the lower population servers.

     

    This unfortunately will result in having almost ghost-town servers, but at the same time it's not that much further off from where we are now.

     

    Thoughts? Trolls? Comments? I'll take them all.

  12. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the only way you can get these currently is through world bosses? The other way to get legacy gear is to of course buy it. I'm not sure about you guys, but I don't really feel like dropping a mil in credits for all of my alts, and even more for the weapons.

     

    I'm pretty sure that most 50s have a stack of columi and/or tionese coms in their inventory that are sitting there doing nothing. I personally think it would be a great idea to be able to trade these commendations in for inheritance gear. This would also promote people actually running hard modes again, as its actually really hard post launch to even get your weekly done (at least on my server).

     

    As it stands now I actually see a very limited number of people with anything other than the belt and bracers.

  13. So I know there are already a lot of threads complaining about this, but I'd like something official from Bioware saying that those of us who have all 8 but not the 9th, will get the 9th, even if the event ends.

     

    Apparently only one person in the operation actually gets the 9/9 codex, or if its not just one, a very limited amount. Certainly not most of the operation group.

     

    I'm one of those people who has to complete codex entries, especially for events. If I don't get mine because of some bug I'm going to be really upset.

     

    How about someone from Bioware confirming that those who have 8/9, will at some point in the future receive 9/9?

     

    Edit: I also did all three AFTER the patch that supposedly "fixed" this. BTW: It didn't.

  14. Put in a bug report. It has the word virgin in it which some one may find offensive. Honestly the filter is pointless when it filters common words that the majority of people do not find offensive. It used to even filter out Saturday because it had the letters turd in it. Sadly it still filters out turd.

     

    Wow. If this was Hello Kitty Online I could understand. But that seriously made me lol.

  15. Can someone please explain to me why Virginia is edited out by the profanity filter? I just recently reinstalled a fresh copy of swtor, and before I could turn it off I noticed that Virginia is actually edited out.

     

    I guess bioware doesn't like Virginia anymore than the rest of us.

  16. If you do use static barrier again before your previous one falls, it will stop showing the graphic of the barrier around your character after the first one would have ended.

     

    But the graphic is the only thing not there, the new barrier will still absorb damage. I've never seen it just not absorb any damage before.

     

    Mine does the same thing, it doesn't absorb damage. It's not just the graphic that goes off, it's the buff itself as well, meaning it's not on your character at all.

     

    So if you re-cast the barrier in that 10 seconds that you still have the barrier, it basically becomes worthless.

     

    As such, if your barrier isn't ended by taking damage, you technically have a 30 second wait time before you can cast the bubble. I see this as a HUGE bug, especially on Assasin/shadow who relies on these shields for tanking.
