  1. Nope, and honestly.... I missed it. I'm not too pissed off by it. I didn't do something that I should have. Same should happen with the color crystal. Don't worry though. Give it a year or two and that title will be back. Bioware doesn't believe in one time things apparently
  2. As long as they keep the items unique. Seeing the black-green crystal again has annoyed me enough.
  3. You know, I understand why people wanted the black-green crystal. It's a really cool crystal, everyone wants it right? At the same time, the original event happened during a time when Bioware was dead and internally restructuring. (Yes the firing of staff was announced a few months later, but come on, the real reason we had no content that summer was because no one was developing anything). That being said those of us who were around supporting the game during that time were doing so by remaining subscribers. We were there for the event. Yes many people missed the event and didn't get the crystal? You know what? So what. You should have stuck with the game through the thick and thin. You joined once you didn't have to pay money or started playing after it became more popular? So what. MMOs do it all the time. Most MMOs do it by removing older items every expansion. I thought I got that crystal color because we were supporting this game through a time when it was going through a rough patch. I guess I was wrong. Time and time again this company has not supported veteran players or players who have supported this company since beta. We got a title that no one cares about. We got the digital collectors edition which was re-released for five dollars... Come on. Support the players who have been here for you. 500 cartel coins a month as a subscriber is a joke. I'm sure a great number of people who were pre-order babbies or were around after but never got to do the event are going to complain. You don't really have a right to. You should have been there. But please, flame on underneath me. It'll fall on deaf ears as far as I and most of the people who actually did the event are concerned. (Kind of like the player base when we tell Bioware something we want.) I've known for months that this event was coming back. We all did. But it was presented when the crystals came out originally that this was a unique event that would support the players who were supporting the game. Another Bioware lie. Basically if you want to show that you supported this game, the only way to do so is by showing off your ugly pre-order yellow and black crystal. Pathetic. If Bioware wants to be the next WoW, they need to start supporting players and keeping their player base from month to month, because as it is, you're losing people right and left. One time items? Don't exist for Bioware. All in all, this is a really pathetic move on Biowares part.
  4. I'm seeing the same three people crying about not having access to the event items that are no longer available. Calling me a spoiled child when you're whining about not getting items that are no longer available, is quite frankly, ironic and hilarious. Since that's what this thread turned into, you guys can argue amongst yourself. I originally started this thread to bring back an amazing event. Since that is no longer the focus of this thread, you guys have fun!
  5. If you think those were world bosses, you didn't play tatooine event.
  6. Now who's being a kid? You sound like a vindictive teenager. That's ok. Some people just don't have the collectors bug. It's sad that this thread turned into that considering I just wanted to have an awesome event back
  7. I didn't agree that I'm acting spoiled. I agreed that from your perspective that I might be seen that way. That's fine, your entitled to your own perspective. But some of us like the unique items that we have acquired.
  8. It's not about support. If I made it sound like that then I apologize. It's a once only item. There have been events that have had items that I haven't gotten. The Nar Shadaa event last August for example, I don't have the pet. It's about being unique. As I said, that's one of the great things about this game. If you find a look that is unique to your own, then great. It's yours. You have an armor set and color crystal that is unique to you. If the entire server starts getting black core and green color crystals then those of us who were there for the event and got the crystals, now feel like they got nothing for that time period. I can see I'm being out numbered here. Obviously most people don't have the black and green crystals. That's fine. But in every MMO there are unique items which are no longer attainable. Many items in WoW for Transmogify for example are no longer there. Being a supporter of the game and getting unique items is what makes MMOs awesome. Going in from the ground up and acquiring items that will never be seen again is part of playing an MMO.
  9. So let me get this straight. Bioware has rewarded us with a number of cartel coins, titles, and once only items for subscribers and veteran players since day one, but you don't think that they are rewarding us? Get a grip. Giving unique items to old school players has always been a focus of Biowares, hence why they said that once an item is removed from the game, it's gone forever. Maybe you should look back and read dev posts before making yourself look like an idiot. Either way, were getting off topic. This isn't about items. I just want a great event to come back. Tatooine or otherwise.
  10. Actually, yes. I didn't have the money to pay for some of the packs with unique items when they were out and before they were taken out of the game. But I didn't have to PAY for my items with the rakghoul event. I EARNED it.
  11. I've been playing this game since beta. Those of us who have been playing have gotten nothing. We got a worthless founders title for playing in the first few months. We got a bunch of worthless cosmetic items no one cares about for buying the collectors edition. We got lame color crystals that we can show off in only color because honestly, yellow and black looks absolutely terrible and no one even shows those off even if they do have them. So yes. If having something from a once in a life time event that I don't wish to have repeated makes me spoiled.... Then I guess I am. That crystal was one of the first few good crystals that this game had to offer. Before the purple crystal, we had green and black. That color is unique and should be forever preserved. I loved the event, but this event was at a time when most people were quitting this game. Those color crystals are the only thing that show our dedication to this game, and the only digital item I'm able to cherish from a time when most people had given up on this game. You pre-ordered this game two years ago? Good for you. You got a color crystal. We have the green and black crystal because we played for two weeks when this game was dead. So yes. I'm spoiled. I'm spoiled because I supported Bioware through the thick and thin, and I want something to show for it.
  12. No. I'm a huge fan of this event, but I like having my unique color crystal and rakghoul that you can no longer get. If they bring back the same rewards and event, I'll quit. If they bring out the same color crystal in a paytobuycolorcrystalpack, I'll quick. That's one of the really nice things about Bioware, they don't bring stuff back when it's out of the game. If you got something unique, it's yours forever.
  13. Which, I being the hopeful SOB that I am, interpreted that as a returning event similar to the Tatooine event. Even if the specific event doesn't return. I hope Bioware sees why this was such a successful event compared to all the others they have had. Most events, including the Tatooine event, have been released in phases. However some have not.... And some (Like that horrible Nar Shadaa event we had last August) were just plain awful. What made the Tatooine event fun, was that we were all fighting in the same general area for the event, similar to how the Gree event is now. However... There were no major world bosses in the Gree event, and it was sorta kind of not really done in phases. Lets recap. Tatooine event was awesome because it was: 1. Done in phases 2. Done in the same areas for both Republic and Empire 3. Had unique world event bosses 4. Had once in a lifetime rewards (even though we didn't know it at the time). 5. Had a major impact on PvP servers (based in part on #2). I for one remember HUGE world PvP battles back in the day (30-80 people on both sides fighting). This was also when the servers were declining, but even so a vast majority of the players at the time turned up for this event to take part in not only the event, but also the amazing world PvP that this event inspired. This was right after Bioware decided to get rid of Ilum PvP, and this, for the most of us, made this event largely successful. Nothing has honestly been seen since for world PvP. Every few days on my server both the Republic and Empire will form an Ops group to annihilate each others base on Oricon, but it's nowhere near the world PvP scale this event ensued. So in part, I don't care if they bring back the Tatooine event, more just that they bring back the elements that made the event awesome. Thanks, Ezenthor
  14. Lets face it, those of us who played when the Tatooine event was live over a year ago absolutely loved it (especially those on PvP servers). To date, it's definitely my favorite event. I really would LOVE to see it back in the game again. However.... With different rewards. Bioware has already said that once event rewards and packs are gone from the game, they are gone forever. I love this idea. It makes things unique (such as my black core and lime green crystal from the Tatooine event). So my hope is that the Tatooine event will eventually come back around (maybe for SWTOR 2 year anniversary?), but as I said, with different rewards. Thoughts? Ezenthor
  15. Yeah I agree. Bioware change something for the better? The odds are astronomical. Still, I figured I would maybe suggest it and bring it to their attention just in case they actually read forums
  16. The shields go back up pretty quick. I've never seen it done with less than 4. Not that I'm saying it's not possible, but even if it is most people apparently don't know how to do it, and the original need to change the quest is still there.
  17. So I don't know about most servers, but even on peak times my server has maybe 10 people on section X. Most of the time it's less than 5. This makes it very difficult to do the heroic 4 man. Not because it's difficult, but because you actually have to have 4 people to finish at the end, and even though there's 5-10 people in the zone, most of the time people just don't want to do it anymore. With the current gear it's possible to at the very least 2 man the heroic 4 man, but due to the lack of players that are in section X, I can't ever finish it because of the stupid way this is designed at the end. Yes this was awesome when it originally came out, but now it's quite honestly just a pain. You give us a weekly that requires us to do all of the daily quests including the heroic, but due to the low population servers and the fact that there are many new daily hubs, it's hardly ever viable to finish. You can leave it at it's current difficulty level, that's not really the issue. Just please make it possible to finish the end part without having 4 players. Thanks, Ezenthor
  18. I don't mind the cutscenes, they do get old though. I have been playing since beta. The only time I find them annoying is when they are there when I get thrown into a game that's about to start in 10 seconds. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's not supposed to happen? Yet it does, and I sometimes miss the gate on Voidstar. So yes, an option to remove them would be nice.
  19. Greetings, In a game like "World of Warcraft" people who queue and then leave over and over again don't really matter that much. This is because there is a much larger pool to choose people from. However in a game such as SWTOR the pool is MUCH smaller and unfortunately people decide to be mean and queue as a tank in the early AM, wait until it pops, wait until it gets to 10 seconds, quit, and do it all over again. This has happened more than once to me in the early hours on Prophecy of the Five. My suggestion is to impose a penalty for people who do this. Those who reject or miss a queue more than twice in a half hour period should be locked out for 15+ minutes so they are unable to repeatedly cause distress to everyone else. Thank you, Ezenthor
  20. Greetings, Many times now I have been unable to use my abilities properly as when used, the intended effect does not happen. For example, I will put an interrupt on a mob while he is casting, and my interrupt will go on cooldown, but the ability was not interrupted. These are silver mobs who should not have an ability to block this or have abilities which cannot be interrupted. Furthermore, the next time the cooldown is up for the interrupt, I am able to interrupt the exact same ability. Stuns also have been doing this as well. I will use "Hilt Strike" on a mob, and the ability will go on cooldown, but the mob is not stunned. Again these are silver mobs without boss immunity. So far this is limited to stuns and interrupts and not damage abilities. This only occurs on NPCs from what I can tell. Although I haven't done much PvP as of late. It seems to be limited to stuns and interrupts. Damage abilities work as intended. Attempts to reproduce the issue have been successful, it happens on multiple mobs on multiple planets Maybe I'm imagining things, but I don't think so. As a tank I am constantly interrupting or stunning mobs so they don't get an ability off. This "bug" happens roughly 20 percent of the time I interrupt or stun mobs. Ezenthor Edit: Also because I'm sure it will come up. I am not "missing" the interrupt due to lag. I am hitting the interrupt very early on, and soon after I hit the interrupt damage still goes out on the mob. If I was lagging there would be no damage. I also consistently run at 40 or so latency. The stun would also still go off if lag was occurring.
  21. /signed. 3 other MMOs have it, and they were developed after this game was. Not to mention the "main" game that has this. It's kind of like not having a ready check for over a year....
  22. So whenever my Marauder uses the /thank emote, the voice dialogue that accompanies is it is "my apologies". Just wanted to bring this to your attention. Sorry if it's been mentioned before, but the search feature for the forums is really limited.
  23. Right, but unfortunately it's limited to items that are acquired through cartel packs right now. I have items from Rakghoul event on one server that you can't get anymore that I would love to have on my new server. So that's more what I was getting at. Thanks for your answer though
  24. Just some general thoughts I as a long term player would like answered. I am sure the community is more knowledged on the subject than myself 1. Legacy levels/xp will transfer yes? I'm assuming there is a formula that will be similar to the formula they used to consolidate last summer. 2. What about perks? I have a pureblood 50 sith on my old server. If I transfer my 51 sith sorc human will I unlock pureblood classes on the server my old character is transferred to? Even though he is not a sith pureblood and I am not transfering that sith pureblood, although he is part of the legacy, will it transfer? Also slightly unrelated. I have heard that collections is actually going to include items other than cartel market in the future. If I have rare pets from events on my old character that I transfer to my new server, will I be able transfer these items and color crystal to my new server via my old character from another server? Thanks in advance for anyone who knows these things! Ezenthor
  25. With the sheer amount of dailies available now it would be a really nice feature to untrack say, a category or certain world for quests. That way say I'm at Section X, I could untrack every other quest except for the zone I am in, or at the very least untrack "categories" instead of clicking off every quest manually. Not really something that is necessary, but it's a creature comfort. I personally like tracking the quests even though I know most of them by heart now, and since the tracker is only able to track so many... Sorry if this seems lazy, just throwing it out there
