  1. Hi,

I was really enjoying the Theoretika mission on my quest to get HK-51. Went through it, killed the boss, then saw that I had only one or two crew logs, so I decided to hang out and find the rest.

That worked out until I fell down a hole and died. I could only respawn at the med center, and the med center is outside the instance. And you can't reenter, even if you haven't finished the bonus quest.

I was a bit put out. Maybe put the spawn point inside the instance? Like it was when I mysteriously died while killing the boss? (I died from 0 dmg from "Kill Target.") By the way, there's a bug in the boss fight that murders you randomly.

  2. What you call "boring" I call "convenient." I was missing that lack of diversity on my Sith Warrior, where the only companion that could take my hand-me-downs was Broonmark - who is a tank and thus useless to my Jugg. Quinn and Vette could share, at least, but Jaesa and Pierce just have to be different.

If it makes you feel better, no non-Force-using class gets Force-using companions, as far as I understand it.

Anyway, I think our entourage kind of makes sense. You have your support woman, who hacks and heals. Then a target you turned into a useful asset, a Mandalorian who helps you mesh into your new peer group that much better (and who also cooks for you to be romantic), a resourseful little follower to feed your ego and, uh, Skadge. Actually, I'm still not sure why I have Skadge on my ship.

  3. I found that jumping first and then hitting forward works better, if you have no running room. At least for me.

This is the very thing that made me stop tearing my hair out at this game. Hit space THEN W, just a split second from one another. Also, as mentioned, angled jumping is good.

Seriously, it's ridiculous how much farther you can jump with space-then-w. Way more effective and controllable than running jumps.

  4. If you pay attention to the movies and TV series, accents are generally a result of which planet the character comes from. Correllians have neutral American accents, Corruscanti have proper english accents, and Alderaanians apparently have horribly faked British accents (unless it's removed by extensive torture at the hands of there father*)

If you notice many of the Imperial troopers and some of the officers you encounter throughout leveling also do not have British accents, this probably represents that idea that the Sith recruit both force-sensitive apprentices and common soldiery from many different systems.

Hey, that actually makes a lot of sense. It also makes a little sense that the accents are more segregated in the Old Republic era, since there are literally Republic planets and Empire planets at the moment. It's still a biit too segregated to be perfectly logical just a generation after the war that established the two powers as separate, though.

  5. Target of Focus Target would solve this, I think. Heal forwarding is more controversial, I think, but having the tank selected but the boss focused so you can see who he's murdering - that would be nice.

Or, for DPSing, having the tank focused while killing things would mean I could always switch to the correct mob once my current one is dead without extra clicks.

EDIT: Wait, MyDarkSunshine, there's target of focus target already?? Where do I enable that?

  6. The sad thing is that this game has some lovely music. I particularly love landing on Alderaan and hearing the opening of "Alderaan the Throne," until like five minutes later, when I'm riding a speeder in total silence. They either need to loop sections of the tracks after the initial playthrough or commission some low-key, ambient music to play in the background. Something smoky and sleazy for when you're wandering the alleys of Nar Shaddaa, lots of wind chimes and light flute for Hoth, etc.
  7. Just replace your chest piece but keep the other 4 pieces Rakata until you get to campaign.

My augmented War Hero hands actually work better for my current itemization than the Rakata ones, so I'd lose the four-piece set bonus. That is my plan for my Jugg, though... or was until I realized how terrible the rest of Columi looks with her Red Reaper chest. D:

  8. You make it sound like using MoxParser is some type of punishment. Personally I would use it as what it is, a tool. I know my DPS suffers behind Watchmen and Knights in the DPS department on longer fights, but I have use MoxParser and augments to bridge that gap. I have practiced my rotation over and over so that I pull my weight in Ops. Still not a world beater, but I usually produce the 2 or 3 most DPS for the group and with my understand (from my main being a healer) of what order to kill, not taking unnecessary damage, CCs and stealth I'm pretty sure I am considered a access in the Ops (that or they just don't want to tick me off because my main is a decent healer). I've been told many times I needed to up my DPS or my rotation was wrong, but I was told in a non-belittling way and better yet I was told how to improve it. MoxParser is a tool, your group should expect it to be used as such to improve the group as well as the individuals. Knowing who needs the most help only helps the group get that person up to speed faster.

Now if that person is just lazy and not willing to work on the problem, then MoxParser will show you who you need to replaced to improve the group too.

I had absolutely no intention of being mean to anyone, but that is a point worth bringing up, thank you. The idea is to figure out what is going wrong and why, so that the game can be more fun for everyone. If I was falling on my face playing, it wouldn't just be bad for my group - it would be bad for me when I inevitably pulled down whatEVER group I joined, kind of making the entire game suck for me in the process.

  9. Gonna be 100 percent honest here.

You're overgeared, and hitting rage timers and not dying to mechanics, I'd be having a hard long look at your dps ( derp per second).

I'm going to assume you're not being a confrontational ******** and insinuating that I specifically am the problem. Then I'll reiterate that we're about to pull out MoxParser to see who's lagging behind, because yes, someone obviously has some derp going. I can completely agree with that. I call out weird gearing if I see it (our new tank is a good example - crit and surge implants, really?), and our healers WILL yell at you if you injure yourself stupidly, but I can't nanny people's rotations during raids. By process of elimination, rotation or talent tree point allocation has to be where the problem is.

It's just, it also seemed rougher than normal, on top of new-member weirdness. I can generally balance out a sub-par DPS toon with my mercenary, but it was not cutting it yesterday.

  10. Normally play as a healer. So I have done KP hard mode many times, with many different groups. If DPS is low and you are hitting enrage, check the groups augments. I'm betting at least some DPS is not fully augmented. Been on many 1 hour or less HM KP runs, but never been on one where the DPS was not fully augmented since 1.3. Even if they can't make/afford the purple augments, the blues will make a world of difference. However, since they removed the stacking debuffs, augments are a must for smooth run on anything above HM EV.

Personally I highly recommend augments for healers and tanks too, but for DPS they make a huge difference.

I'm mostly augmented now, but argh, that annoys the crap out of me. I kind of hate the augment system. It used to be an extra thing that you didn't really NEED to worry about. Now it's a mini-tier and an essential money sink - make or buy the kits and augments, plus another kit for every new piece of gear, plus pay to remove the augment from the old slot... Rinse and repeat with PVE and PVP gear or die.

  11. I honestly think both abilites are fine as they are. Savage kick is a little extra aoe and gives me, as a tank, just a little more hate when fighting groups. Pommel Strike is fine; it's just like Shoulder Slam on my merc. Great for wiping out PVE normals quickly. No use throwing a hissy fit and wanting to throw the baby out with the bath water because you didn't read the tooltip properly.
  12. Our guild was having a bizarrely difficult time with KP HM this past weekend. There were a few new people, and our dps was weirdly low, but it was more than that. I feel like they tweaked it.

Going to have to get some parsers going, make sure everyone's pulling their weight. Which I feel a little crappy for doing, but if we wipe at Foreman Crusher... I mean, come on. :-\ That has literally never happened to me before this past weekend.

  13. Seems to be a lot of HYPE and EXPECTATIONs here. We all know what that will lead to.......

Just wait and see; expecting stuff will lead to dissapointment and that will lead to six months of, "i quit threads" and "add this to the store".

Er, this isn't a speculation thread. It's an "I Want" thread. We're just here for fun. Join us, why don't you? C'mon, maybe Bioware'll get some good ideas off of us.

As far as us being given cartel coins, i pay 15 dollars a month, if the store is up in 3 months that's 45 dollars, how many cartel coins are we getting? Will it be 45 dollars worth of coins?

That wouldn't even make any sense. Our subs get us unlimited amounts of stuff that f2p'ers will have to pay per pop for.

Everyone else: I love some of the suggestions I'm seeing, though some of them should be free content updates, not pay services! Things like Pazaak and a /sit that lets us sit on chairs.

My Jugg has a whole couch in her ship that she literally sits THROUGH instead of on. It's super sad.

I'd totally pay Cartel Coins for Legacy unlocks, because I am very much over Dailies. Also, I WISH commendations could go into a Legacy bank!

  14. A bank? We already have one on our ship and our personal one.

I want a BOOST in EXPERIENCE POINTS. How many people are bored to death of side quests. I know I am. I would pay for an extra boost in experience that goes past legacy 8 percent, to 20 or more. I don't want to have to do a single side quest again.

I done mostly all the classes. I should be rewarded by focusing just on class quest. I'm tired of spending countless hours grinding doing the same missions. I know all the outcomes. I want a boost in EXP when I'm leveling in WARzones

I understand this urge, as does just about anyone who has more than about two toons on one faction, but I think there'd be too much shouting about Pay2Win. :-\ I do find it helps to RP dramatically different personalities for each character. Though for some reason, all of my Force users are really smug...

  15. It wont even be close to what you need to buy something. At first yes, because of all the back coins they will give. After that you will get 150 a month. Base item will probably be 400 or something. Believe me, you will either pay partial cash or save for multiple months for 1 thing.

Not... really seeing a problem with that, if the thing is high-quality. Just because something exists doesn't mean I need immediate access to it. I'd rather have a larger breadth of cool stuff available than I can practically use and afford at once rather than have auto-access to some crappier stuff.

Like, if my workplace has a free store-brand cookie at lunchtime every day, whoo. If I can instead get a slice of cheesecake once a week, Whoo!

Again, this only applies if the items are good, stuff like I mentioned in my original post and like some other (non-Debbie-Downer) commenters have mentioned. Like, I don't need every vanity set available pronto; that's silly. But I'm unwilling to wait and budget for basic game content.

  16. What would you love to pay Cartel Coins for? I'm not talking, "Yeah, I guess I'll burn my stipend on that hat, why not?"

I'm talking, "Shut up and take my Monopoly money!"

    Mine:

    -Character transfers.

-A Legacy Bank, including money. No more scavenging and mailing and all that relogging. Bam, all characters can craft out of the same bank and try on all that bound-to-legacy adaptive gear in one place.

-A window of several minutes to change as many gear mods as I can. This is the next best thing to an appearance tab.

-Dual-spec. To be worth it, it would also have to remember all your UI settings from one spec to the next.

-Real vanity mounts. Taun tauns, Dewbacks, etc. Silly stuff that's fun but not all that useful. :D
