  1. Yeah, story wise it obviously wouldn't make much sense, but my question was more from the technical side. That is to say, can I make the Dark Side choices to turn Jaesa dark as a light side warrior. Still conflicted about what I want to do because I do like Vette's sarcastic nature, but I'm not hot for head tentacles.
  2. I was wondering if anyone has done this to maintain her as a romance option but still play light side. I know it would probably require breaking character for dark choices with her, just a question of feasibility.
  3. I'm among the group that let Chance die. When he used the keyword, my response was "But I would have come anyway!" When my character just went right ahead with the acknowledgement, that's when I decided that he was going to die. I wouldn't have been as mad if he hadn't JUST told me he'd never use it, maybe the kid would have lived. Saber and Wheels I let go, they did matter, no need to unnecessary bloodshed. I told Kothe to surrender. His suicide by defense battery made me mad -- He was an honorable man, didn't want him to die. Now all I want is to kill Hunter. I hate that f***. I just arrived on Voss and he's all I'm thinking about.
  4. Stealthing, sneak up and open with a hidden strike, knocking the mob to the floor, followed by an eviscerate. More mobs behind me so I toss a frag, followed by a carbine burst if they're grouped up. Oh, now I'm getting focused, roll to cover and drop an explosive probe and a snipe until Vector gets one or two down. That one's low, pop him with Overload Shot, throw another frag at the strong, run up, Shiv, Debilitate, and drop two lacerates on him. The class feels very mobile, has so many options for ranged or melee, and is just awesome. Yes, your strongest attacks are melee attacks, that's intentional, you're a close quarters killer. But you have TONS of ranged options too. Short ranged shots (Overload and Carbine), long range AoE (Frag Grenade), and you can always drop to cover for some Sniping if you need to be at range (and if you're getting focused, cover helps reduce damage too). Yes, you shoot your gun, but Operative is clearly about knifing b$$ches in the back. Just admit it, you didn't read the description well enough first.
  5. Sounds like you meant to roll a Sniper. Operatives are intended to be more "rogue"-ish. The description even says that Operatives are close quarters specialists. "Whether emerging from stealth to ambush and eliminate enemies in close-range combat or using advanced medical technologies to keep colleagues in the fight, the Operative is able to identify the needs of any situation and react accordingly." Personally I love the Operative, both Concealment and Lethality DPS specs are fun to play. The only real valid complaint that you couldn't have known better about was how despite a majority of our attacks being based off our knife, there is no actual knife graphic -- our primary weapon is never seen in game except for a fixed static model that never changes from level 3 to 50. Kind of annoying. Other than that, if you don't like your Operative, roll another IA and go sniper. If you want to play a ranged class, that would be an excellent choice.
  6. As I had it explained to me, at least in the US military, many female officers will clearly state that they prefer and DEMAND that they be addressed as "Sir". "Ma'am" is viewed as being informal or de-elevated in terms of standing by most. I am unsure if there is an official protocol for usage of "Sir" vs. "Ma'am" as codified in any of the US military branches (I'm sure there is for at least one), though it is even demonstrated in pop-culture that many women will prefer and insist on the use of the term "Sir" (as an example, reference Castle and the new police chief). That said, as mentioned previously, as per the codex, the Star Wars universe is codified that ranking females be addressed as "Sir". This not only seems natural but simplifies a large amount of coding, voice recording, and scripting. The use of "he" though is definitely a bug.
