  1. This does look bad, but how about some context? I noticed you almost completely omitted the situation that lead to this warning. 'Camping Aurek base'? As in spawn camping? that would get a legitimate warning I am sure. What were you doing exactly to warrant a reaction like this from a GM at all let alone on a pvp server?
  2. So americans get inconvenienced on one patch and get compensation for it. Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying that compensation for this messed up patch shouldn't happen. But really? Any update on oceanic accounts and all the primetime downtime then?
  3. Too late for me to care now. I got my best friend to start playing when the australian release was official, but due to a clause that any character created after the end of march could not transfer, he had to start on the aussie realm. He got to 25ish before quitting from solo boredom 2 days ago. The situation cascaded from there, it seems that if I want to play with friends on this game now I will have to make new ones online, or play something else. Add to this the part where I was only level 48 when 'valuable' customers were given free game time and I am currently very unimpressed with the game management at this point. Teach me to try making an aussie server alt to help keep my buddy interested. At least they waited till 9pm to start maint on our friday night... better then 5pm at least right? sigh...
  4. First up, purple is not magenta, those ones show up as pink, and you either have to jump through hoops to make it or buy one for (usually) 6 figures off the market. Purple was available for 250k to rep and 125k for imp till patch 1.2, its probably too little too late to tell you that you should have gotten one then, but you options now are this. 1: GTN. There will be some for sale sooner or later, if you have money you are prepared to spend this is the easiest. 2: Artifice. I can't personally confirm this, but apparently the schematics (and many others aside) should be available through treasure hunting crits. I have been able to find precious little information on this myself so if anyone can give details here it would help. That's all I know on the subject at this time, good luck.
  5. The thing you are ignoring is what I wrote. What part of a drop down menu to swap between versions strikes you as a region lock? The inconvenience of reloading the launcher to change to a different one?
  6. You mean to remind us that the EULA won't require them to fix the problems we have? Gee, maybe we should go to the forums to make our grievances known and try to get the issue raised with them that way. After all, its in their best interest to improve the service so fewer people leave the game right? Thanks for the reminder dude.
  7. Add a drop down menu to the launcher. US, EU, AU. Launcher patches at appropriate times for the appropriate selection. Changing it prompts it to download up to date files for your new location selection. Or switch to them if they were previously downloaded. That took me 1 minute to think of. I'm sure that if they actually tried, Bioware could easily come up with something better.
  8. And this was a terrible idea. You had 3 months of delays while implementing 'the best possible service' for the oceanic community and not only did you forget to code the transfers, you also didn't even think to set up the servers so proper timezone updates worked? Very sloppy work. It's a good thing the work on the game itself was not this shortsighted and poorly executed or you would have barely anyone left. Ty for at least replying our concerns here. Even if the answer was not the one we were hoping for. It would be nice to hear some reasoning other then "We decided to do it this way, wont say why, and have no current plans to change anything"
  9. I preordered guild wars 2 today, it even looks like I will get a collectors edition like I missed out on due to the inept release here. Other danger games are diablo 3 and believe it or not, phantasy star online 2. Although that one wont be out for a while. Yes, if I want my sci-fi hit I may leave this game for pso. They even have laser swords. You Bioware (although I suspect the Evil Ampire might have a greasy mitt in this fiasco) have until one of those 3 games is released to pull your act together before you lose me and likely many other aussies for good. All said, the game itself is great fun, niggles aside (ever think what that speeder removal would look like to those new aussie players?), its been a blast. Do believe me when I say I would not have put up with this much otherwise.
