  1. Wow..I sure hope they change this...or, I mean what is the point of the legacy? If you have to buy it for each character you want to apply it to.
  2. Uhh..right..actually the whole situation and mess that is this free transfer business is actually unacceptable. What can they do if not enough people are playing the game though?
  3. It does make sense. I haven't said I support Bioware's decision. If you read the rest of what you quoted you will know that even though I support the free transfer to tofn for our rp-pvp server I do not and can not support bioware's handling of the situation. 2 weeks for a solution to the problem that many non-dev's pointed out straight away is completely unacceptable. However, I will never agree with you that because it's got an RP tag on the front means we are an RP server. It is not. RP-PvP, RP, PvE, and PvP are all different server types and should've been handled differently. However, seeing as there was ONLY 1 RP-PvP server type for English, it makes a lot of sense to offer the free transfer to the PvP server. It has been mentioned before and it will probably continue to be said, but bioware has done NOTHING to help the RP scene from the beginning and even said that all RP type servers will have no RP enforcements. Be that naming, chatting, etc. Hence, most people were already aware from day 1 that Lord Calypho was never truly an RP-PvP server. More than anything it was just a PvP server.
  4. You have to be kidding me. When Bioware says this is a "unique case" it doesn't mean unique in the way you're thinking. They just said that because they weren't ready to go forward with any action yet. It's really NOT that unique at all. There was only 1 RP-PvP server for English so it would make sense in the free transfer period to have the rp-pvp server move to the pvp server. I will however give you the benefit of the doubt here because even though now they say this is the choice that makes sense and I've been saying this from the start anyway. They sure have taken a really long time to come out and say this. Much longer than warrants even my standpoint on this. The fact they took so long kind of did hint we we would have multiple options, at least 2.
  5. It is a logical option but it is not an option that makes sense in the situation. Remember that there were free transfers from EVERY server. If we get 2 choices and everyone else only got 1 then there would be another thread of angry customers demanding fair treatment.
  6. Uhh...did you not read EVERYTHING they said about the RP-PvP servers at launch? THERE WAS NO DIFFERENCE! They said they won't be moderating the servers. Or the names or anything like that. So yes, there really WAS no difference between the RP-PvP server and the PVP ones, EXCEPT for the people who went to them.
  7. Except as Bioware will say and has said, it is unique, meaning it doesn't not particularly MEAN this. I don't disagree with you totally. However, too many RPer's see it as ONLY RP server with PvP. It is classified only as RP-PvP. To say it is an RP server is wrong as there ARE just RP servers...the RP-PvE servers you all refer to are actually only, and have ever only, listed as 'RP'. To say that people came to Lord Calypho for RP is one thing but to say that's why people went there. Far from it. If Lord Calypho was only an RP server, I would have never considered it. I won't speak for anyone else on that but I do get the feeling by how little people actually WERE RPing on our server that they weren't to bothered with it. I think the fact that it's an RP-PvP server is what attracted an older audience to the server, hence a really amazing community. ToFN made more sense for the free transfer than any of the other servers.
  8. Nobody on Lord Calypho chose an RP server. You chose to see it that way. It is NOT an RP server. Please stop classifying it as such.
  9. Right well you just addressed the problems our server has. Queue times on the server...pvp queue times are pretty much gone...as in you CAN'T get into warzones anymore...maybe 2 in an hour...that's just pathetic. Less roleplaying. Well as you said the "few" RP guilds and they are pretty small guilds at that. As far as activity goes. This is the main problem, we don't have enough people on LC. Please stop this "we chose an RP server" nonsense as well. You didn't choose an RP server. You chose an RP-PVP server being fully aware what the difference is and what it all would entail. At the release of game did we all think we'd be in this exact situation? Of course not. Our server was amazing for quite a while actually. So as it stands to reason, we SHOULD be going to tomb of freedon nadd.
  10. Why would we assume something so stupid like that? IT IS AN MMORPG. It's safer to assume somebody is always RPing, no matter what server they're on.
  11. Hopefully it leaves them on tomb of freedon nadd and they STILL roleplay there. There is no reason not to. There are even more people that are likely to jump in on it.
  12. The longer this thread gets the more and more I start seeing that Bioware is in fact not a real company. Just a gold farming organization probably. The only thing is they hired people who can form sentences correctly in English or they just use dictionary.com or something for the proper spelling of words. Seriously though, how many times can they say "We are working on this unique situation, please be patient" and think that this is somehow feasible to their customers. We want to know WHAT work is being done. We want to know if there is a reason to be patient. The lack of communication warrants a lack of patience. It's just how it goes. Not to mention respect from a community that has given Bioware much already. If you are still playing the game that's saying something. After D3 came out many people left this game and haven't come back yet. We really aren't even asking for much but as long as we continue to just get PR spin from CS agents then the more our patience will be worn thin if we've got any left. I don't honestly think I've ever seen a thread for an mmo with so many posters stating they've unsubbed for this ONE specific reason. Bioware's response? Nothing. For shame Bioware, for shame.
  13. There goes Groncho. This is actually really sad. Not because I will miss Groncho or anything but this is/has been happening. Before talk of the transfers even. People leave because cs is a joke. It came down to that. Now on the fleet people that don't even bother coming to the forums say the same thing. "Bioware doesn't care about our dead server, I'm unsubbing, laters". Now those who have been actively voicing their opinions/concerns on the forums are leaving. Those who HAVE indeed been really patient. More patient than Bioware will EVER acknowledge. I say this because they will only continue to tell us to be patient. Our patience will never be seen by the company, a company that deserves to never see numbers associated with '$' symbols anymore. I can't really be bothered to go find it in this post but the quote from the German CS saying that this is a subjective problem, meaning OUR problem. Am I the only one who was outraged by this? Now I'm not exactly saying this CS agent is terrible but seriously Bioware? Are you just letting them say any old rubbish now? How exactly is it a subjective problem? It is a problem that existed before the transfer process was underway. You know this and a pretty large number of players on the RP-PvP servers knew it. A problem with YOUR game is YOUR problem. We are paying for this game, or in other words WE ARE PAYING FOR YOUR PROBLEMATIC SYSTEM. Please do not EVER, EVER allow your CS agents to try to flip this onto the customers. We have NOTHING to do with game development or anything other than logging into the game and playing it. Or as is the case now, NOT logging into the game because our characters are on a server where we can't DO anything anymore.
  14. There aren't anymore servers left to merge to lord calypho. And just look at this thread and the one that got filled before this one, no one in their right mind would willingly play on a bioware rp-pvp server again. This situation is apparently just too "unique" to figure out a solution. Putting all the RP-pvp players in one will not fix anything anyway. As soon as paid character transfers become available most people on those servers will just leave it, making another dead server. Honestly the best thing to do is just remove rp-pvp, I know it's not the best but the current problem was not a problem at launch and we had a very healthy server. Now though, I'd much rather play on just a pvp server than an rp one since the rp-pvp server is dead.
