  1. I had this problem just now where the holoterminal wouldn't activate, did all the things like reset local phase etc and nothing worked, so went to dromund kaas then back to belsavis and the cut scene just played automatically. passed the problem now thankfully.
  2. Rather than log a separate bug, i am just confirming that i'm experiencing this issue with the cyber mercenary mission today in september 2016. Will this ever be addressed do you think? EDIT: After clearing the entire heroic of groups of mobs and BEFORE to start opening the Kolto Tanks to expose 6 cyber mercenaries, the total of cyber mercenaries is 22/30 on the bonus counter, so this means that even if you then go on to pop th 6 kolto tanks for the primary objective 'Destroy Kolto Tanks 0/6, this would only mean you get 28 Cybermercenaries, leaving the count for the bonus always going to be 2 short at 28/30. Checked outside of the heroic instance before starting and there is definitely NO cyber mercenaries there.. so that's that one out. Checked outside again just in case before going for the final boss.. and still definitely no mobs. There is far too many of the tech masters so the quick fix i think would be reduce the cyber mercenary count either by 2, or increase the number of Kolto tanks needed for the primary objective by 2. Either those options or swap out the extra pack of techmasters and do a mixed pack instead. easy fix for someone who knows what they are doing. Seeing a lot of things just ignored though, which is a shame. Bug stands reported correctly by original poster.
  3. The simple answer is just have an incentive that if you subscribe for 6 months or more. Mind you i would also make it so that is a subscriber only item, so becomes a dormant entity if you unsub immediately after getting it. I've been subscribed since day 1 of coming back to the game, never played this game ever unsubbed/F2P and never want to either. I am glad that they look after the subscribers and the HK55 missions were an easy acquirement for someone who just subs each and every month like myself.
  4. Ran this so many times on both solo and heroic, and not one drop.. with every single mob killed just in case.. all maps exposed. Joke of a drop rate if it exists at all. Reward for time spent has to be there, come on Bioware, you've already got us doing dailies, weeklies and lots of other activities.. its not even like these bracers have any super status.. they are pretty much invisible to look at, and are without stats.. it makes no sense to make them super rare. Fix this, and fix it now please.

As someone who has to put up with spam for credit selling companies each and every day, then i would like to have the choice at my disposal whether i want to see this spam when a feature could easily be added to allow me to filter it out of chat altogether. This includes mailbox, whispers and the like. When spam bots have got so organised now that they are now casting out level 60's (purchased) to spam in fleet, it is pretty obvious that they are actually being allowed to remain.. as i see no evidence to the contrary. We see no reassurance that our reports of spam are dealt with either. If folk truly did add a wrong word to their spam filter, then so long as BW make it easy enough to correct the list by offering an easy remove filter option then i see no reason why this should hinder anyone. Soccer moms or not, i would run with what the majority would make special use of, not what the minority manage to mess up simply through not following a very short guide or tooltip. You could even add an enforced warning when adding a filter to remind them that 'the following word when presented in chat/whisper/mail will now deny that entire message being displayed' should suffice for most.. and if that does not.. then they simply should not tinker with what they will never understand.

I worry more that if we take a liking to using a particular companion, that BW will just write them out, 'just like that' in some future chapter, so if we spend a fortune levelling them, they can then just be taken away. This is why i've superlevelled treek wherever i can. Most people i've spoken to since KOTFE launched about companions all agree that we would love to see a special mission to go find and re-unite with the romanced character from pre-KOTFE and feel that this has been drastically overlooked by Bioware in general. To have all the story arc effort put in prior to KOTFE and then just slung aside like they don't matter is just plain wrong. Oh sure you can get them back on that vendor in ODESSEN, but really? what a cheap solution that truly is. I've purposely not used that option in the small hope that Bioware might come to their senses one day and put a mission in place to meet them again for real. Heck i'd go rescue them from the spice mines of kessel if they'd just put the mission in!!!

For too long now, or at least as long as i can remember, we have been plagued in General, Mail and whispers from credit selling organizations who seem to never get banned in the way we would hope as subscribing players. It would be nice if we saw some evidence of the spammers being dealt with, but when was the last time you ever had a response to a report spam? What i am asking for I feel is very simple. If BW can not effectively control the spam at their end and allow them to constantly recreate, then please allow US the players to control things client side in order to limit or completely stop the spam from being seen by us. This could easily be achieved with a spam filter that looks for certain words within any chat about to be displayed or in mail we receive and suppress the action from occuring so that credit spammers who constantly use the same spam although perhaps on yet another level 60 bought character could then be blocked by anyone who chooses to do so. So yeah, a spam filter please, and give some power back to the players. Heck make it a subscriber perk too if you want.
  8. Just want to add to the list of folk posting on this thread as i'm also naturally having the same problem due to the patch being pushed out too early. I had no choice about the upgrade, it just applied. So now i cannot play tonight and who knows about tomorrow? after all it says august 11th for the odessen patch. So by my calcs, that should mean today and tomorrow that we can't play? or is the 11th of august date wrong on the launcher? Now.. i subscribe, along with others, ... are we going to be compensated for the unprompted and enforced downtime due to what looks like a complete mix-up that is not caused by we.. the players?
  9. tbh, from personal experience in the game across many characters now i've seen so many people doing that trick where they will happy watch as you pull the mobs and beat them down, and will do nothing to help at all, and then have the cheek to steal the mission objective with no effort. I also tried calling the person out each time in /general and was very disappointed in the swtor community on my server to find people condoning this style of game play. Some saying 'its in the game mechanics' <<< what the? Others saying things along the lines of 'just wait 5 seconds?' The thing is.. some of the mission objectives take much longer to respawn, and why should it be the gamer doing all the work who then has to wait while the freeloader gets the objective?? I wouldn't even mind a jot if they grouped with me so we could both get the objective??? Never seems to happen and it all really dampens the sense of community in swtor. Not the experience that sits with with people who may have just given the game a chance.. good community play should be encouraged, but being an out and out idiot while playing is just really poor form.
  10. Resurrecting this thread, because we are now in november and still this is happening, it is so annoying.. its companion spam.. at least give an option to silence the companion? (if it already exists, where is the option)

Devs, instead put a companion strength slider in options, and let the player decide.. at the end of the day, you reach level 65 anyway.. and by then you are grouping up and no companions present so no problem remains.. but the journey getting to 65?? let folk set their own companion nerf to suit how much challenge they want.. its as simple as that. CHOICE.
  12. What a different scanario we would have had if the last patch had been... 'reduced healing capacity by 25% for companions.' I really think this would have been far more workable than what was enforced by 4.0.2 You could do that 25% reduction no problem. Whoever in BW decided 75% (or whatever they decided on) should be taken outside and introduced to a rancor. People do like to play solo, not always by choice, but by simple experience that even when they make an attempt to be social with folk in the immediate vicinity, they are simply met with.. silence... no response, no interaction. .. nothing.. you can buff people with your buff hoping for a return of 'their buff''.. but nothing happens.. its as though you did nothing....... sometimes people just are not social at all.. and that is where the rot is.
  13. i found a great use for the companion.. sent him to craft while i just got on and played solo with no extra dps, tankage or healing at my side. I got superb results from my companion, and was able make a few nice things. Where i would LIKE my companion though is at my side doing 75% at least as well as they did before 4.0.2, not 75% less.

My personal view is that the healing change has been too harsh, playing on the republic side was levelling nicely from 1, got my first companion, then just before getting to craft my first lightsaber met a large creature with a Star difficulty and my companion started to heal a bit.. but then it was as though the heals just completely stopped. I died, then because of my level noticed i was able to upspec by pressing K to sage, and was able to heal myself to survive the fight.. i was still really learning at this point, but my general feeling was that my companion was not healing.. i was getting no heal numbers from my companion and my medpack was not sufficient in the fight. Play better ? sure.. i try , but I am mostly a solo player who groups when the opportunity comes up.. i don't want to have so many deaths though that i find it hinders rather than helps play.
