  1. Turning Bit Raider back on seemed to make it work for me; prior it was trying to download from local loopback, which obviously didn't work. Relevant log bit: 2016-05-03 22:34:39 INFO Download: http://127.0.0.1:53880/app/download.solidconfig (127.0.0.1 ) 2016-05-03 22:35:35 ERROR Download Error :Unable to retrieve download configuration (e308) ^ That doesn't appear after turning Bit Raider back on, and it downloads its configs and manifests from the correct URL. If you disabled Bit Raider at some point, to turn it back on, open launcher.settings then find: , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"SSN\" }" and change it to this: , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"BR\" }" Next, find: , "bitraider_disable": true and change it to this: , "bitraider_disable": false Save & relaunch and it should patch fine; the downside is you've re-enabled Bit Raider, but...eh, it works for now so I'll take it. Unlike when you disable Bit Raider, re-enabling it doesn't spur a full redownload of the client.
  2. I'd thought about that, and about the possibility that 55s in the group were doing it. I'm at level, however, and it seems to do this with or without others in a group.
  3. Sadly, this didn't work for my poor inquisitor. Tried setting it down four times, at all three locations, but no matter how far away mobs were lured the thing disappeared (without being attacked) after about 2-3 seconds every time. Opened a ticket on it; it looks like this quest has been bugged for quite some time. I just hope I can get past it BEFORE 12x XP ends. :|
  4. This seems to work for guild flagships, but not for guild strongholds.
  5. Yeah, I'm seeing the same thing; the only things I can donate to the guild stronghold are pets and mounts. Nothing else has the option to purchase for the guild. I think we'd rather have furniture, despite how amusing it might be to fill everything up with mini pets and speeders.
  6. A) I never said it was "bad", "horrible", or "soul crushing". It is, however, a mechanic that is widely used on RP servers and, as it is supposed to work and hasn't for nearly a month not with the only update being, "We fixed it" (when that's clearly not the case) it does tend to make one feel like it's being slightly ignored. B) There is no solution that we can do for a code issue. C) "Just use IM"? Well, in that case--why bother with the game at all? Just because it's not a feature of the game that you use/used regularly and it therefore doesn't impact you much doesn't mean that people who do use the function being slightly upset that they were told it was fixed when it wasn't, then got radio silence as a response when that was pointed out doesn't make them 'whiny'. It does, however, make you a bit of a jerk. I don't PvP, and you certainly don't see me in threads discussing issues/bugs with PvP mechanics or warzones going on about how everyone there is being whiny about it and should just figure out how to make it work or suck it up and cope. The complaint about cross faction chat being broken is a very legitimate complaint; even beyond RP purposes, it breaks party chat, ops chat, /s and emotes if there are people from the opposite faction in range, even if you're NOT trying to speak directly to them. If you don't have anything helpful to add to this thread, I wholly and strongly encourage you to find another one to post in.
  7. Well, considering the last update is from about three weeks ago and says, "Okay, it's fixed!" then dead silence when the response from users was, "No, it really isn't, it's still happening" has been silence, I can safely say I don't trust that they feel it's still an issue or there would have at least been a, "We're looking into it" sort of response.
  8. Still an ongoing issue. It happens most frequently on Nar Shaddaa, but also happens any place both factions are able to be in at the same time. It manifests a few different ways: 1) You can't see what you've typed, but the other faction can see what you type. 2) You can see what you type, but the other faction can't (/s only, we all know /e doesn't work cross faction). 3) You can't see what you've typed and neither can anyone else (on your faction or the opposite faction). Occasionally, it will work once or twice, then stop, or will work for only short lines of text (as in one line, if it were to wrap to a second, it will fail). It never works consistently, however. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to how it fails to work or why. Amount of people in the instance doesn't seem to matter either. Edit: It only happens when someone from the opposite faction is within /s distance. If they leave, and it's a "single faction" area again, chat begins functioning normally. Tested this out with a few people this evening on Ebon Hawk. The chat problems cleared up as soon as there wasn't faction mixing going on. I'm on the Ebon Hawk server but, based on the comments in the thread, it's still happening on all servers. Any ETA on a fix would be nice or, failing that, just acknowledgement from someone that they're aware it's still a problem and are looking into it. The hotfix didn't seem to actually fix anything.
  9. Still broken on Ebon Hawk as well. Emotes, custom channels, and guild chat seem to work, but /say is still very, very broken. Quitting and re-launching the game doesn't make a difference.
  10. Since beta, /ignore has never really worked quite right. Even while on ignore, if a player chooses to spam stock/built in emotes they can still easily clear a fully expanded chat buffer in seconds. Despite the character being on ignore if they, for example, repeatedly types /flap, you'll still see "Character flaps his/her arms wildly." over and over. It's especially frustrating if the reason for trying to place someone on ignore is to stop emote spamming. It would seem to me, if a character is placed on ignore, the game would actually ignore all text input from them, including built in emote text.
