  1. I feel for you on that. It is nice when I can just get my quest done and leave immediately. However, even with the zerg going on, IMO it's still boring as hell. WHen I said entering the zone makes me feel sick, I'm not joking. I dread going there for my dailies. I probably will stop going there even if it takes me longer to get my BM gear.

    Burn out

Well, this game was supposed to hold me over until GW2 came out, but I'm not sure how much longer I can bare it. I have bunch of my friends playing, so that helps and I'm going to try to stick around. The PvP in this game (which I knew wouldn't be that great) is a joke. Ilum is the worst PvP zone ever. The WZ are fun, but there isn't enough variety. I also feel the maps are EXTREMELY bland. As a matter of fact I find most of the zones to be very bland. I don't think I've been to one zone where I thought "Wow! That looks incredible!" Which is kind of sad since I have at least one moment like that in every MMO I play. I do enjoy the class quests and maybe about 30% of the world quests. Story can only hold my attention for so long, though. I'm not the type of player that creates a bunch of alts. I have my main and I'm leveling another right now. I find myself space barring through all the quests I know are bland. I also find BW to be waaaay too slow to fix things. How long did it take them to fix the WZ's not counting? My Ravage animation still goes off without actually working! This annoys me to no end. The Imperial Agent class quests seems to be extremely bugged as well. One of my friends got stuck on a holocall, and not only did a GM not help him, they emailed him to let him know they closed the ticket! Another friend also plays an IA and has had a decent amount of bugged quests. This is also my alt class. I got stuck trying to kill Darth Jadus around level 30 because for some reason I can't see my target. WHen I would finally find him he would knock me back and reset the not seeing crap. I looked this up online and it has been a problem since launch! SERIOUSLY!? Get on your job BW, DAMN!
  3. I know this topic has been beaten to death by now, but damn! I'm getting to the point that I feel sick when I enter Ilum. This is possibly THE WORST pvp zone I have ever seen. If it weren't for the BM bags I wouldn't even go. I might just stop like my friend did. He refuses to even enter the zone for the buff lol. I can't express how painfully boring this place is. Even when there is something going on, it's just zerg vs zerg. There are no strategies involved. No skill. Just 2 mobs of players rushing at each other. Then you run back to the closest base and wait for the Valor timer to reset... yeah... If this isn't going on it's a race to see who get's the box first. REALLY?! How BW thought this was a good idea is beyond me. To top it off I have only received 3 BM Commendations since Rank 60 (about 3 weeks ago). So, not only am I bored, my progress has pretty much come to a halt. I knew this game wouldn't be a great PvP game from the start, but this? I really cannot wrap my head around how the hell someone thought this was gonna be halfway decent! It's time to find a new Lead PvP Designer. Because, man... This guy is definitely not doing his job in the PvP department. Sorry, had to get that off my chest.
  4. Ok. I can understand if we are getting crushed then it might be good to leave one. We were nowhere near losing when these guys started talking crap. The way I figured it, mid would be the easiest to take since they land right there so 2 of us were good on D. Anyway, I'm glad that a lot of you guys agree with me. I have held a spot solo before, but IMO it's not ideal. IF you can see players coming towards you, then calling Incoming usually works. If you get hit up by a few stealthers while solo, you're usually SOL.
  5. So how many people should be at a node for defense in this WZ? In my experience it is better to have 2 people on it unless we are dominating. Is it correct that only one person should be on defense? This is what some people told me on my server and I just can't see it being as effective as 2. According to them me and a buddy are bad players for playing D and holding mid. What's the consensus on this? 1 or 2 players at a turret?
  6. Don't think they have the option yet. Hopefully soon, because I would love to shut this off myself.
  7. Seriously... They need to just hire another Lead PvP designer. I haven't done many Operations but from what I did do, they seem pretty decent. He can stick to that... but man this guy doesn't know a thing about PvP.
  8. Ilum Rating - 0. This is the best they could come up with? Really? It was a joke before because of how easy it was, and how each faction would cooperate with each other. It's even more of a joke in it's current state because it's absolutely DEAD. I have not been able to complete my weekly or daily for a while now because there is almost nobody to kill. I also don't feel like hunting for boxes on the ground. This is PvP? I think the devs need to really think of a solution instead of a bandaid fix (a wet bandaid apparently) . Warzone Rating - 5. Ability lag needs to be fixed ASAP. This has always been my biggest gripe with the game in general. I don't know how many times I've used Ravage and had to watch the animation only for it to not go off. It's happened to me 3 times in a row a few times. I'm also not sure why it takes Gore and Rupture so long to go off. They are supposed to be instant, yet it always takes multiple key presses for them to go off. I feel the maps are kinda bland and somewhat cheesy looking. I also don't need to hear NPCs talking in my PvP (HUTBALL!). I also feel the sound effects in the WZ are annoying as hell. The lasers or whatever sound like they're broken. I had to shut off my ambient and voice sounds to make it more enjoyable. PvP Gear System rating - 2. Surprisingly I got luckier than I usually do with RNG in this game. Still, I am not a fan of RNG for PvP. I have multiple broken items that I can't do jack with. It also takes a long time to save up enough commendations for Centurian gear. My last complaint (which is not directly connected to PvP, but which I notice the most in PvP) is the error messages in the middle of the screen. We need a way to disable this. I do not need to see a bunch of red text covering my screen when I spam abilities. The fact that some of my "instant" abilities take so long to connect is another reason for seeing this.
  9. My idea was to add 2 more points near the center and have it so 3 must be held in order to win. No kills will count towards the quests unless they are in that area. You must also complete the objectives in order for the quest to count (maybe lower the kill amount?). This will split the zerg and I think will give Republic players a better chance at winning. I made a post about it, nobody cared... lol. Yeah it's basically a huge Arathi Basin (WoW), but I feel that it would work. As it is now, it's all about being in a zerg, and that's lame. There are no tactics involved. All you do is follow the zerg in a line up and down the map. I stopped going to Ilum. I see less people to kill than before, but when I do there usually aren't many little skirmishes going on, which I like. It's either zerg or be zerged. Boring.
  10. I definitely blame BW for using the same engine as WAR. I can understand it might have been quicker to make the game this way, but IMO it was the wrong thing to do. If they saw what happened to WAR why would they want the same to happen to this game? It has all the same problems. When it comes to MMOs cutting corners and rushing things NEVER works out (and I'm positive EA rushed this game). World PvP will never work in this game unless they find a way to split groups up. I've never been a fan of the zerg anyway, but this game just can't handle 2 zergs going at each other. I'm not sure how much they can tweak this engine to be smooth with that many players on the screen. Anyway, as horribly designed as Ilum was pre-patch, it seems even more dead than before now.
  11. hmm guess it wasn't a good idea...
  12. World PvP quests should require objectives AND kills. Create 5 points in the center of the map. Make people take and hold 3 points. Only allow quest kills to count when people are either defending or attacking objective points. Maybe limit the amount of people allowed in the zone, then make a new instance of it when it's full. All I know is before everyone on MY SIDE was yelling at me to not kill the enemy. Now it's nothing but a zerg/lagfest. My idea is to split people up in the zones so this doesn't happen.
  13. That would be a start. Like I said in my previous post, they need to make it so a zerg vs zerg won't work. Maybe it's just me, but I never found these zerg battles to be that great. I dont mind a somewhat large group, but when your fps drops so much it looks like you're watching a flipbook animation, it's too much. Maybe the easy kills are fun for people who just want the rewards, but to me this is boring as hell. What I'm wondering is, if they knew they were using the same engine as WAR, why try to make World PvP a zergfest? I'm all for letting as many people as possible into a zone, but when you know what happened in WAR, it would have been better to limit the amount of people allowed in.
  14. I play Empire and I don't like the way Illum is now (not that I liked it before). Now instead of people yelling at me to stop killing Republics, it's just a lagfest at the Republic base. It's also pretty much impossible to attack someone as a melee without getting stomped in seconds. IMO they should have encouraged people to be somewhat spread out on the map. Not just 2 zergs going at each other all day. I ended up leaving the raid to just find skirmishes between WZ queues. On the other hand, I like the Warzones a lot more with the 50 bracket (only played 2 games but it seemed good to me).

    So I did it.

Seriously? March? Isn't that a bit too late to fix something like this? There are certain things they should be focusing on around the clock. This should have been looked into before release, and certainly should have been fixed by now. People I know already quit the game. I'm always willing to give devs a chance to prove their worth before I quit. If this is how they're going to do it, they will lose a lot of people QUICK. If the dev team is taking time to relax a bit after working for so many years, they made the wrong decision. This is the time they should be working hard as hell, which it seems they aren't (though, they might be... I don't know). After what happened to WAR I really doubt they will handle the problems in a timely manner. EA seems to only care about box sales. After that the game can be down to one server.
