  1. Not attacking. I used your post as a launching point for my response to the thread and I apologize if it seemed like I was attacking. I also wasn't implying the [flirt] option to every npc, but rather I said to flirt with whatever npc the player wanted.
  2. There are limitations when you play a game like this (or any really). I tend to view things from a rp sort of perspective when I play my toons, however I don't go bat**** crazy when a response isn't what is envision my character to say in that situation. You want total control and freedom over your character? Go write some stories about them yourself (aka fanfiction), but you can't possibly expect BW to cater to every player's whim and desire when playing through the game. The story in the expac is interesting, the landscape is also beautiful, but writing the whole thing off because you can't [flirt] with every npc you want to is shallow and childish. Edit to mention my use of "you" is general, not "targeting" anyone specific here.
  3. He seems like he'd be a good SGR option, and a believable one at that (I about passed out laughing when my female SI got the one time option to [Flirt] - so worth the -1 affection with Andronikus). And if BW does go the SGR route for companions I do hope it's more like that and not just a simple.... slap a SG/OG on a companion and have it feel generic.
  4. I'm with ya here. Leveling the SI and SW (both females) didn't encounter a ton of [Flirt] options outside my companions. There were honestly two with the Inquisitor that I really remember distinctly... Beyond that, there was nothing really memorable (outside my companions).
  5. On behalf of my friends, I'd probably say Skadge, lol. When a friend jokingly quipped he was getting his 3rd Skadge, another then stated that's "just 4 Skadges too many". I think, for us, that sums up how useless this companion is, lol. In my personal experience, I'd have to say Xalek. He's cool to look at, sure (and does "work" for my Inquisitor's style from a rp perspective), but overall... meh. He's too flat of a character, the conversations I have with him are just pointless and empty. I find the "don't make me go" comment he makes when you dismiss him to be interesting... but there's nothing we get about him that supports why he'd say this. If they just developed him more, I think it'd help. Though he's also a bit useless from an Assassin standpoint; his dps blows and I don't need a tank. I actually like Ashara the way she is, though I wish we got more dialogue options to sway her further from her Jedi teachings (convincing her to embrace the emotional outbursts for example). But other than that.... I honestly prefer her as my apprentice companion to Xalek, at least she's a little more three dimensional. And puts out better dps.
  6. Considering the only "true" romance options are your companions at this point, I'd say it seems no. Though read the first reply to this thread again, it answers your question in relation to the "trivial" (some [Flirt] options, maybe a fade to black is what I'd consider here as "trivial") type of romance category.
  7. While I find that I, personally, don't care one way or another... inevitably you will have people upset that it is SG/that there isn't such an option for OG. And vice versa were it to work the other way. The solution to this being, of course, two npcs for this purpose (one male, on female), but that seems a lot of extra time, money and effort to try and "please everyone". Not to mention at this stage in the game it would likely need to be isolated from existing companion relationships unless they add more for us and our companions dialogue/possibly mission-wise. Just my 2c.
  8. Some of the SI storyline leaves a lot to be desired. Not all of it, but there are moments... My biggest gripe was the end of the story arc. It's been mentioned a couple times now, so I won't beat a dead horse. But it was... lacking, to say the least. Act 2, itself, wasn't too terrible, IMO. Especially if its viewed as a conquest for power and less of "I need to do xyz to kill b" or whatever. Secondary to that I had two issues. The lack of utilizing the torture skills we train for from the get go on Korriban. And the lack of manipulation. I was shocked, utterly shocked, when I began my SW story and was able to manipulate two "factions" into fighting and allowingy warrior to simply walk off without lifting a finger. As much as I was amused by this, I was also left thinking... 'why couldn't my SI get more options like this?' . Granted my personal play through and personality of my SI (assassin) fits the more hands on style we were given... It still seemed wrong not to have more manipulative options peppered into the story.
  9. I actually liked Andronikos, though at first did feel it was odd him going for the SI so quickly, especially since the arc to pick him up included his ex... But I digress. I liked him (still do) and don't see anything too terribly wrong with his personality (better than others out there....). I also am a fan of Malavai Quinn for my SW, but I also play her as more of a patriot to the Empire with more LS tendencies (save mocking her master for no other reason than its amusing) and he fit into that model well. That said... I fully support more romance options for classes, especially to include aliens. I'd also love, personally, the options to [Flirt] with companions, even if it wouldn't be recriprocated or turn into anything (sort of like the female SI can do - admittedly only once that I've seen so far - with Drellik). I think on a whole would have allowed for some interesting situations, if nothing else.
  10. I've not played a Shadow, but nowhere is it stated in the skill or for an Assassin that stealth is a Force or technology-based skill. Honestly I find It makes more sense being a Force skill when you consider the Force Cloak ability and, for an Assassin, Blackout; but that's my personal opinion based on what I experienced playing my Assassin and looking at my skill tooltips. So I'd probably believe with it being that ambiguous, it's really up to the player to decide for themselves.
