  1. I hit 50 two weeks ago and am not playing for a number of reasons though the most relevant is that end-game PvP may as well not exist. I dislike Ilum, I was extremely hyped about it but it's just an empty and desolate wasteland. I'll go back to doing FPs and ops. See how long that lasts... Not really a P2P game is it? - F2P soon no doubt, that'd fix the low server populations (at least for a short time).
  2. I haven't tried playing as an imperial yet so I'm not able to comment on the state of that particular environment, but the republic hub is somewhat lacking, I find. The central area, where the cantina resides, is reminiscent of a giant night club. I don't understand what sort of message this is supposed to be conveying but it reminds of that scene in teenage mutant ninja turtles, the movie, where the newly recruited foot soliders are attempting to pacify themselves with distractions by way of games and music. It is not the sort of environment you'd expect to find within the bastion of hope that is the republic fleet. The typical Star Wars space-based locale was made evident in the original trilogy, just look at the internal areas of Star Destroyers and any other large vessel on-screen. They are sterile, compact environments, devoid of clutter save for a few exceptions. The space we have is too large, it should be smaller - and you should have seen this. Look at Coruscant spaceport, although it's based on the planet, that would be a preferable visual style to what the current Carrick station looks like. --- We have to cope with this for hundreds of hours, it's too much on the eyes and the cantina music just grates on one's nerves at times. Slowly eating away at patience, that's all. ;]
  3. I, along with a few friends, am nearing 50 now and we're looking for some fun things to do. Warzones are a lot of fun but we cannot stand Hutt Ball. The Warzones seem to cycle and when it's time for Hutt Ball we get a bit The Alderaan locale is the best as far as we're concerned, it'd be great to play it all the time! I had a look around Ilum and the first thought which came to mind was "how the hell are they going to fill this space?" I play on a RP server in the EU, this may have been a mistake as there are very few people around. My fear was that a PvP server might just be a gank fest and not really about PvP at all. Like many, I loved the model provided by Dark Age of Camelot wherein you progress your character in relative safety before braving the nexus between the realms. I get the feeling that I may have gimped my gameplay experience by going with a RP server. Only now do I realize how much I miss free roaming PvP. I won't start a char on a PvP server as I'm in love with my Shadow and don't want to go through the story again. Tldr; Give us a free transfer to a RP PvP server. At least then I can control where I go for PvP and will have some peeps to fight.
